I especially appreciate your explanation of how you selected "starting points" for both the overall design and each wall.

Glad it was helpful! There is always a logical starting point in every project, it’s just a matter of figuring it out.

I’d love to see the finished kitchen after it’s installed!

I'd like to see a design for a single wall kitchen - not just where a cabinet or an appliance goes but what could be included inside the cabinets to best utilize the layout. Dishes here, pots and pans here, sink between the stove and fridge, landing zones, prep areas, how much clean up area needed on either side of the sink, etc.

Nice. Love the progressive development of the design. What were the final island countertop dimensions?

Roughly 116x92” in this iteration. We are still fine tuning with the cabinet makers, and it has shrunk a few inches in the long direction.

Loving your videos and learning a lot. We are apply to extend our house, part of which will hive us a new kitchen, open plan into the old kitchen area with our old utility room becoming a pantry/larder. We have 5.9m x 5.8m in the new kitchen to play with so want to design something really good. I was wondering what software you are using to make your designs?

Thanks! You have lots of space to work with, that’s awesome! I work with a software called ProKitchen. It’s more geared towards professionals vs homeowners.

Why wouldn't place the fridge in a corner?

It can often impact the function of the doors. They need a certain amount of room to open to allow the interior drawers to fully extend/come out for cleaning.
If I do need to use a corner, there is always a spacer added.
