isnt' pressed or machined titanium cheaper and as light? this looks too complex? composites are not worth it for scaled production look at spacex gave it up in starship
Carbon fiber composite are cheaper considering the size and production volume. However return on investment on those robots are impossible for this task which Human can make quick work of.
You say like that cause you don’t know the potential of technology, the robotics that they are using now is in phase of experimentation. In a way they are experiencing and feeding the machines with information that will make it more efficient in further phases. 5G, AI, IOT and machine learning is in its raw form today.
Thank you for your interest in our research project! The video does not actually show a process that produces flying parts but the results of a research project in which a real (manual) process was automated to a very high degree on the DLR research facilities. Therefore, as mentioned in the description, the state shown is only a demonstration at the end of the project where one single sample of the RPB was built. Don’t hesitate to contact us if there are any questions.
Great job guys!
Wow! Simply amazing, and powerful ...
Where’s the final product?
Beautiful, thank you.
So wheres the fancy part?
Cool technology

Is this the automated fibre placement that Peter beck is talking about for the Neutron?

Can this support natural fiber carbon composites ? Verses Carbon fiber
The process is the same
I like it. Now i need tank with that form wich can handle cryogenic temps and 300bars.
This is a great tech demo but seems like massive over kill. Was this used for the actual series production process of A380 bulkheads?
nice can you build Aircraft
There is a cute slight uprise at the end of every sentence of the accent of this women..!

This is funny! So much money and so low productivity effect!
Because the technology is still in its heyday!!
@@siddharthchavan910 I would rather say that their technology is at a dead end.

@@siddharthchavan910 Don't make me laugh!
@@prof.dr.nynnja5187 NO WAY!
Looks more like an expensive show not a real manufacturing process
