Kep1er is originally a temporary group so they were only supposed to last for 2 years or so. All of the members are in different companies. They have the opportunity to extend the contract as a group longer but Yeseo (1:49) and Mashiro (3:50) companies wants them to join a different group named Limelight. So after July I think, the group will continue as 7 members while the other two prepares to join Limelight.

Kep1er is a project group with an original contract of 2.5 years, however, 7 of the 9 members have extended their contract as Kep1er and will continue as a 7 member group. The 2 (Yeseo & Mashiro) who are leaving the group (they will leave after their 3 day Japanese concert in mid-July) are from the same company and will be added to an existing group (which was planned even before they earned a spot in Kep1er) Limelight. All the other members will continue as Kep1er but no official statement was made on length of time of the extended contract. Also, all the companies of the other members did not seem to have a plan for their respective Kep1er members so it made sense for them to extend if they wanted to continue as K-pop idols.

Kep1er's original contract was for 2 1/2 years ending in July. These types of project groups are made in order for the members to gain fans before pursuing other things in their respective companies.. most of the members' companies signed to renew the contract but 143 entertainment, in charge of mashiro and yeseo, chose not to renew their contracts because they already have a plan to add them to the group Limelight

Kep1er was a 9 member group but 2 members didn't sign their contract and they left and kep1er is a group project for the company to get famous and in July they will disband and some members will redebut with each other or different people

@@Ryujinsfuturewife you said they will disband in July…they are not disbanding, they are restructuring into a 7 member group and continuing with group activities.

No only two members are not renewing their contracts but kep1er will stay 7 members and please do more seventeen content I’m doing forward thank you
