Orthodoxy now has 6 million members in America! It is one of the fastest growing denominations in the West. We are up 13%, which doesn't seem like much but its only the start of many waves of converts ☦

It's interesting to know that 0:21 the building was formerly a storage from St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church that the Greek Orthodox Church bought in 2019. God bless them all ✝️☦️🙏🏻

Greek Orthodox needs to build Churches and Cathedrals in Rural areas of the United States spread the word please!
The problem is the money. It is cheaper to buy existing building than create everything from scratch. Who would finance that? As much as the Orthodox Church is growing, it is still very small in USA.

Russian would be much better. Westerners need to know how to stand through a service, cross themselves fully and not show up 45 minutes late to church once every 6 weeks. And yes, there is such a thing as vespers and matins!

@@IHIuddy I think if you allow for the eastern rites of the catholic church to speak for themselves, you’ll see so many more things in common. The east and west had liturgical differences, holidays, and customs. I think the only major difference really is the papacy

@timboslice980 the eastern rite teachings are in contradiction with the Latin dogma. The latins allow veneration of saints that they themselves declared as heretics suffering damnation. The Roman system is a contradictory mess.

I love to see Eastern Orthodox churches coming to Utah. My son and DIL live in SLC and there are several various Eastern Orthodox churches there or in the area now. Next time I visit I’ll make sure to worship and one of them.

As someone whos agnostic and grew up in the LDS church, its always nice to have new churches, new perspective, etc. Might check out one of these churches regardless of my beliefs
What it confused me was THE PIANO IN THE CHURCH is it part of the Divine Liturgy .? If so its very UNORTHODOX
@@dimitriosvlissides5781 That piano is NOT played during any Church service. In fact, I’ve been attending St. Anna for over a year and never once seen anyone playing that piano. The piano isn’t even in the service areas (narthex, nave or altar), but right inside the front door and outside the narthex doors.

Thank you for saying this! I too was grossly disgusted! It’s easy for us to notice the heresy but I feel bad for the Catholics who think the OCA is a baseball game!
A few comments:
There's a video clip of somebody playing a piano in the church. As Orthodox we are not supposed to be using instruments inside the church as we realized that it is the human voice that we use for worship an expressing ourselves in worship.
Archbishop Elpidophoros has committed many many heresies against the Orthodox Church I need to pray for him to repent and show the people the right way
Thank you for bringing up this heresy! I feel bad for the non Orthodox who think this is normal! Shame on Batushka and Vladika for allowing that to be seen on national television like we’re a bunch of Catholics!
