    @Soldat Veritas
    Shalom! Thanks you for your appreciation of my videos. I will cover Yerushalayim Shel Zahav in the future when the fundamental Hebrew verb lessons get published. Knowing the verbs will help a lot in fully understaning and feeling the songs. Best regards to you!

    I found the learning Hebrew with songs videos helpuful and interesting. Hope you will continue making such videos. E.g. the songs by Shlomi Shabat, such as Aba, Bereshit Olam etc. are very touching and inspiring songs that can be excellent teaching materials. Thanks!

    Im loving this, thank you so much for sharing.
    At the 5.00 minute mark I don’t see nishmati but yeshuati ישועתי in the Hebrew.
    Is that a mistake? Does that word yeshuati mean my salvation/deliverance?

      Hello. Thanks for spotting the typographic error. I must have done a quick copy. Yes, you are right. Yeshuati means "my salvation". 👍

    In song, "Al kol eleh"there's a word hashev,(return),hashivine (return to me),hashuva (I will return)..Is lehachazir(to return )and hashivine share the same root word?..hashev(return)?

    • @hebrew4learners
      @hebrew4learners  Год назад +1

      Hi. Hashiveni is used in Biblical language, so it's used in poetry, songs and liturgy. It does not have the same root as lehachazir which is more naturally used in modern Hebrew. To be more precise, lehachazir means to return. Hashiveni means "return me" and ashuva means "I will return".

    My congratulations is great opportunity
    to say thank you, you are different and way better by far than many others channels , for the simple reason, verbs is the real way of teaching,
    how can the other teach, if don't they don't have a long exposition of verbs, ? not matter who want
    Teach language have to start with the verbs and that's why you make the difference..!!!

    Shalom I really appreciate your videos especially with how you break down the verbs. I just wanted to comment though because every so often there will be a typo that messes with the learning process and hinders the understanding. For example on this video around 5:13 you discuss the word נשמתי and you say it correct and even have the correct word in the romanized Latin transliteration but in the Hebrew you typed ישועתי which is my deliverance. No big deal but a lot of times I like to take screenshots of words and their conjugations so I can go over them but in this case I would have the wrong word. By the way I’m not a scholar trying to pick at your video because I asked my self about 100 times before I commented to make sure I wasn’t tripping but when you showed the lyrics at the end it actually had the correct ״נשמתי״ so that confirmed it. I’m sure it’s just a mistake though because in one of your other binyanim videos(the decoding binyanim at 4:40 it says “English is spoken here, but on the screen it says כאו instead of כאן) I saw a ״vav” ו where It was supposed to be a “nun” ן. Stuff like that happens when your switching languages on the keyboard. All in all great job though your videos really help. Hope to see more of the binyanim series.

      Shalom! Thanks for taking the time to give me your feedback. You're absolutely right that there are typo errors. Proofreading is very important. Unfortunately, I only have limited time to make these videos because I only do them after work. I have a full time job and responsibilities. That's not an excuse not to spend more time on proofreading, though. In my more recent videos, I decided to take more time even if it stretches to several weeks. I hope I'll avoid those typo errors in that way.
      Thanks a lot for your appreciation of my work. It's a real labor of love and it's so encouraging to hear from subscribers like you.
      Kindest regards !
