Looking at the lyrics, the singer seems to be singing to the Mosin, as one of the lines is “I tell you my rifle”. In most of the song they also use “we”, unless that’s just a communist thing.
"Vintovke" refers to full power rifles so presumably it is about the Mosin-Nagant.
I believe the song is written by Leonid Utyosov and that's the rifle he probably would have been familiar with.
