- ITF West 9319 S. Airport Blvd Queing app based travel Lyft Uber will be done at this location as the existing Avis car lot will be moved from here into the new CONRAC building in 2024.
The Intermodal Transportation Facility - West (ITF-West) parking structure & mobility hub will provide travelers with convenient access to LAX without needing to enter the Central Terminal Area. Following construction completion in 2021, a free shuttle will provide direct access to the terminal. In 2025, the ITF-West Parking Structure will be directly connected to the new Automated People Mover (APM) train system via two pedestrian bridges. It will then reach its full vision to create a mobility hub where passengers can be dropped off, picked up, or park and ride the APM directly to the terminals.
LAX’s $5.5-billion Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP). The LAMP consists of five major components: the Consolidated Rent- A-Car (ConRAC) facility, the Automated People Mover (APM) train system, the ITF-West parking structure, connection to Metro via the future Airport Metro Connector (AMC) Station, and roadway improvements throughout the LAX area.

After I got use to the Burbank rental car center, these combined sites are really efficient. Hope LAX improvements will work as advertised
Burbank rent a cars. Min. $35 daily tax on rent a car. Biggest rip off.
I was at the LAX yesterday
Boy, 🥵 traffic was ridiculous
Took me 1 hour just go half mile 😡
They really need to finish the people mover construction ASAP 🙏
Thank you
They could if the contractor wasn’t trying to rip off the city.
No sense of urgency...
Thanks for the update! I find it sooo disappointing that in the first few years, construction was moving right along, and I was amazed at how fast they were building the APM. But now, it's gonna be a long wait before it gets finished. And I've been wondering about the CONRAC completion projections. I rarely drive by there, and I see construction, and wonder how many companies have moved in.
Funny thing is, I have no plans to actually travel anywhere, due to current life circumstances, but I love the idea of being able to walk a short distance from my house and grab public transportation to get to the airport.
thanks for sharing your informative "LAX Intermodal Transportation Facility West Construction Update" presentation

Great video
When will it be finished
APM-end of 2025
Everything else, maybe the end of this year
No rails, the vehicles use rubber tires.
What’s the capacity of the parking facility?
Gotta wonder how much of an impact the people mover will impact that traffic grind. I’m not too optimistic. I think people will prefer being dropped off/picked up by some sort of vehicle.
BART in Bay Area is extremely successful for proving direct access to SF and Oakland airports. I saw lots of people living in the Bay prefer taking BART so People Mover in LAX will be successful. There is no People Mover in the world that is a failure after it opens to public.
LA entitlement.
They may prefer being dropped off in the airport but when family or friends ask me drop them off at the airport I'm going no closer than LaCienega, same for picking them up.
@@karoslif9818After the Skylink opens and connects to the LA Metro, you can pick them up or drop them off at any of the stations on the C or K lines since both will connect to the LAX Skylink at the Transit Center Station.
You'll still be able to do that at ITF East Station or the Transit Center Station.
The rumor is that LAX might have transponder technology similar to that used on toll lanes and will charge cars coming into the horseshoe.
Billions upon billions spent and everything just sitting idle and empty. No sense of urgency. That sums up LA.
Union and contractors get free money. They careless about tax payers . I know I ised to be a union member.
Aim for the guilty parties and don’t just assume it’s the government.
Love the lax vids keep up good work
Hope you'll cover the Transit center next. Last time I checked it out the exterior work was being worked on.
Thanks for the update

PS - Thanks for all your updates!
Skyline might very well beat SkyLink to the airport…
