I'm no expert, but I think you may be overstating the speed difference between longboard and luge. As comparison, in Teutonia, longboard tops out at around 72mph and luge tops out at around 83mph.
This looks like a gnarly hill, but safety is always a concern in downhill.
I can't imagine a toeside at that speed.

Yes it is quite possible. A lot of soles would be burnt, but it's doable. Andy Lally, Yvon and many other riders could make it for sure.
While it would be cool to see a luge race, I'm wondering if safety might be a concern. 65mph is conservative for Angies, and that middle straight section will only get faster with a few guys drafting each other. 65mph in a tuck could quickly turn into 90+mph on a luge, and that has the potential to be a massive safety concern.
This is nothing more than supposing...but it seems reasonable that might be the case.
curious to see what some of the riders that ride regular will do into the first hill.. will there be live coverage? that would be rad!
