Neighbors called the cops on me cuz I was drunk on my own property jamming Nu Breed and Jessie Howard. But the whole neighborhood gets to hear them yelling and arguing everyday and no one calls. I walked over and talked man to man to the guy. He turned out pretty cool, we got along and talked for hours. His wife was the crazy one….. Couple months later he text me asking if I could talk. I woke up to see them, started replying and heard 5 gunshots and then a single one. He killed himself after he shot his step daughter. He was helping me find a job where he worked. I can’t help but think that he texted me right before. He knew I carry. Did he actually want me to talk him down? Did he want me over there cuz he knew I would have it and wanted me to take him out? Or did he want to take me out also? I still haven’t forgotten. Seeing what I saw, No one would forget. Just can’t wrap my head around it, ya know? Why’d he text me? What did he want to talk about? If I had answered, Would I have died that day? Would I have saved his life? Stopped the situation? Sometimes life is cruel. Most times it’s beautiful! I just wish he woulda called and not text. Or even talked the night before. I pray no one sees what I saw that day, even your worst enemy. It shouldn’t have happened, But it did, And it’s imprinted for life. Neighbors called the cops on me cuz I was drunk on my own property jamming Nu Breed and Jessie Howard. But the whole neighborhood gets to hear them yelling and arguing everyday and no one calls. I walked over and talked man to man to the guy. He turned out pretty cool, we got along and talked for hours. His wife was the crazy one….. Couple months later he text me asking if I could talk. I woke up to see them, started replying and heard 5 gunshots and then a single one. He killed himself after he shot his step daughter. He was helping me find a job where he worked. I can’t help but think that he texted me right before. He knew I carry. Did he actually want me to talk him down? Did he want me over there cuz he knew I would have it and wanted me to take him out? Or did he want to take me out also? I still haven’t forgotten. Seeing what I saw, No one would forget. Just can’t wrap my head around it, ya know? Why’d he text me? What did he want to talk about? If I had answered, Would I have died that day? Would I have saved his life? Stopped the situation? Sometimes life is cruel. Most times it’s beautiful! I just wish he woulda called and not text. Or even talked the night before. I pray no one sees what I saw that day, even your worst enemy. It shouldn’t have happened, But it did, And it’s imprinted for life. I hope no one has to go threw that, But I’d be wishing upon a star that wasn’t there. Moral of my message. Don’t beat yourself up over something you can’t control. 😢 Rip Mark 7-23-23

@@brandonleebrown7506 unfortunately I wasn't born in Texas but lived here most all my life! I've lived and been to a lot of different states but nowhere holds a candle to anywhere in Texas! Being raised in East Texas naturally it's my favorite part of the state, but I've been all over this state and fascinates me how the land transitions from one way to another so quikly! It's big enough, if ya don't like the scenery in one place drive a few miles and you'll think you're in a whole other state...LOL!!! I agree with you Brandon and you're right. Beings I have lived in a lot of different places and quite a few up north, I got asked a lot if I was from Texas because I have a southern accent. I was like, Yep I'm from East Texas. After saying that they'd almost always look at me funny and say, you don't look like you'd be from Texas with long hair, no cowboy hat or boots! I wear a regular cap if I'm wearing one that day, blue jeans (not wranglers) or shorts depending on what time of year it was, Nike shoes and T shirt. I'd always tell whoever I was talking to, not everybody from the south dresses like a red neck/cowboy/goat roper! There's "regular" people there too and not all of us listen to "country music" as that's what a lot of people seem to think up north. Here where I'm at this kind of music like Nu Breed is concidered "hick hop" or "country rap". Myself I like it all, but Nu Breed is right at the top of my list with a couple others I like.
