I was so floored hearing your rendition that I cannot find proper words to praise it. The pictures posted in the video are equally superb and match the episode behind Sahir's inspiration to write this ghazal. It is well known that Sahir and Amrita were in love but couldn't be taken to conclusion. They separated and Sahir wrote the Sher "Woh Afsana jise Anjam tak lana ho mumkin use ik khubsurat mod par laakar chodna acha". Thereafter he wrote this ghazal which was adopted in the movie "Kabhi Kabhi". The ghazal was not fully recorded in the movie and a few verses were left out. These verses have been shared by you in your excellent voice. We are grateful to you for it.

Though I am a proponent of TEHAT-UL-LAFZ rendition of Urdu shayeri, an exception is eminently warranted in case of compositions by Poet-Lyricists and Sahir must top that list. I can not and will not try to outdo other musically-savvy friends in applauding your excellent essay. However, it is my duty to point out the two blemishes, rather one blemish repeated twice at time-stamp 3:06 & 3:18. The ARABIC word is shu'aa' शु'आ' شُعاع (plural shu'aa.ein ) meaning light, ray, ray of the sun, beam Also splendour, lustre and Metaphorical meaning radiance. I don't wish to stick out like a sore thumb but you have pronounced SH (श ) as CHH ( छ ) ! The rest is flawless that deserves 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹!
