What is ASMR? According to Wikipedia:
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.
ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.

Sir I hate to be the one to tell you this but I think your camera needs glasses.
Pretty sure my optometrist back home in the US knows about ASMR. She is always so soft spoken and explains things in depth and moves the light slowly. If she doesn’t know about ASMR she is accidentally really damn good at it, but I think she does because she’s so good at it. I love the eye doctor.

I’ve had glasses since I was a toddler and I always enjoyed eye exams, and this makes it even better

This is the most realistic eye test asmr i’ve seen in regards of what it looks like for a blurry visioned person actually taking one of these eye exams in real life. Well done sir.

It's honestly impressive how you manage to track the clear/blurry vision with the lens, actually looks a lot more genuine. How the heck do you do that?
im not him, but usually you would place the lenses frame very close to the lens and as central as possible and enabling autofocus. then, removing and adding the lenses will lead the autofocus to refocus, thus making it blurrier or clearer. there are prolly other techniques but it’s the easy one i know :)
also, camera lenses are very similar to lenses used in optometry - so just using the lenses in the right distance may cause this effect :)

This is easily one of the best of the numerous ASMR eye exams on RUclips. I love the realism, the fact that it's a blurry to clear role play (it is often the case that in "lens 1 or 2" videos, the visucal acuity is perfectly fine which is ok but also kinda takes something away from the realism).
One of the few ASMR videos I often return to.

And here I was thinking about when would you make a video of lenses 1 and 2 again, you post as 3 and 4 🤣. For curiosity, could you one day show how is the setup for these videos? I keep imagining you putting your cell phone behind the frame and that must require a nice engineering for everything to balance out.

This could be your most comfy video. I love the pink/purple color on the wall, and the use of a lens on the side of the video. It feels more like I’m at the eye doctor. Also your voice and how you say certain lines is why you’re a special ASMR artist. All around just a great video and possibly your best.

You are the master of real-feeling ASMR optometry and take me back to my first ever ASMR experiences as a kid in the early 90s at the squinty Eye climic. I had such kind, professional eye doctors who kept me so relaxed whilst they fitted my prescription for my giant Dierdre Barlow glasses.

Gotta tell you SRP - there is something about this one that is "excellent". I have come back to play this at least 7 times, and it keeps working for me. And just think, this was the right eye only, and we still have the left eye to go. Cheers.

Amazing, I’m getting my eyes tested this week, sadly it’s mostly done with machines these days with the optometrist just checking briefly at the end of the appointment. 😞

Wow, this was the best with or without so far. I had major tingles all throughout, SRP. I don't know what's happened to asmr in general with so many new asmr channels. Your channel reminds me of why I started loving asmr in first place. So thank you for sticking to the roots of where asmr began on RUclips!

Fun fact: A person who wears glasses the glasses aren’t blurry for them. But when a person who doesn’t wear glasses or are NOT prescribed with glasses it isn’t blurry for them just something I noticed.
I must ask, does the current prescription you place in the trial frames have any affect on the overall strength (like when we’re looking through a -1, would you showing us a -2 mean it’s actually a -3 prescription or no? Just a bit curious.

Is it fixed to be blurry and then brighter with lense or is the fact that several of these made me feel like I could finally see better indicative of a need for glasses? I know I need to check my eyes, so I'm not surprised.
It's awesome that the camera is out of focus in the beginning, and that the picture gets clearer with the lenses over the course of the video. Clever idea, love it!

I'm back here again, I really like this one, it gets me very drowsy. Funny, at the beginning you ask about the three charts behind you. They are so blurry at first that I thought the top one was an owl with a fez hat on. And the middle pictures, I couldn't tell any of them, but one looked like a pizza, and one a piece of toast, --- the clock and the old fashioned phone. Okay, I know, it's past my bedtime, lol.
