Please notice you do not need to earn 70k euros yearly, you need to make 200% over the interprofessional minimum salary in Spain, which is around 35k euros yearly for one person. If you bring family with you that number goes up.
I’ve been trying to move to Spain for years. This digital nomad visa sounds great but also impossible to obtain for US employees who work remotely - not all US companies want to register in Spain or pay fees for the employee to be in Spain because of their personal decision
I think that’s where the contracting positions come into play (aka 1099 contractor jobs) since they won’t have to pay liabilities or taxes in Spain but rather give you that responsibility
Hello and thank you for the helpful videos. Is it possible for a UK Limited Company Director to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa with zero income and only proof of savings for example 50,000+ Euros?
Yes, if you are employed in the UK and plan to work remotely from Spain under the Digital Nomad Visa, you will likely need a social security certificate. This certificate (known as an A1 form) verifies that you continue to pay social security contributions in the UK, preventing double contributions. It’s an essential document for remote employees to demonstrate compliance with international social security agreements. spainguru.es/2023/08/13/bilateral-social-security-certificate-nhs-certificate-transnational-postings-spanish-residency-application-spain-digital-nomad-visa/
Here you can find recommended immigration lawyers, with a successful track record of Spanish Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) applications and approvals. You can request online consultations here: spainguru.es/consultations-immigration-tax/ If you prefer the DIY route, you will still need services like apostilles and sworn translations, and potentially (depending on your situation), a private health insurance. I cannot hear this very well. I have tried speakers and earphones. Please consider better microphones for these discussions.
Thanks for your feedback. Maybe the CC subtitles can help in this case?

For the digital nomad visa you need active remote income for the most part. Maybe the non lucrative Visa suits you better in your case?
If you work as an Employee from the UK and can work remotely, will I be required this social security certificate?
