Excellent explanation on Abaniko, Guro Solo. Love your channel and it is very cool to see you blending Eskrima with 52 Blocks and showing us how the Substitution Principle of Kali makes it possible to utilize any weapon and even add new techniques from other arts into the weaponized mindset. Excellent work, and very unique.
I have been training for 25 years under Tuhon Gaje, Franchiotti and Dionaldo. Great job explaining the often misunderstood art of Kali. Well done bruh.
It fits in with most the arts I've learnt the basics I'd not wana piss one off I'm old an slow now would liked to done this when younger I'm English box judo an bit karate is wot I done adding this an 52 blocks over past year has changed my style I'd like to know this when I waz younger can teach a old dog new tricks
Nice and Speed Is over rated knowing the body has to respond a certain way puts you there before speed!! that’s a lot of what i focus on - example - the right follows the left and all punches come from the shoulder

I am curious as to your cultural origin Solo...Are you of Filipino origin, or South American, or otherwise. The reason I ask is that I look almost identical to you guys, but my cultural origin is Indigenous Australian, Irish and Spanish..... Of interest, we have stuck fighting systems in Australia, using the "nulla-nulla"; the most fearsome fighting stick I have come across anywhere.
