I know it’s a little detail, but I do like how you addressed what I personally considered the biggest plot hole of the original episode- why on earth Thomas would want to “go as fast as Gordon” when in the first episode, he did and said he never wanted to do it again. That simple line of “just once, and without being stuck to the back of Gordon’s train” was the simple fix it needed; thank you
Thanks for the thumbnail spoilers. Though to be fair, we did see this coming as "realistic"ifying it would definitely make it the most rewritten episode to date.
When I looked at the thumbnail for the premiere, I laughed knowing that Thomas would crash in this adaptation. Even the humor added in is brilliant. Overall, I still enjoyed it!
At first, I saw this was an adaption of a TV episode and thought "Oh, God, not another remake with either the original or a redub of the original audio set to a Train Sim remake.." but then I saw it was a "REALISTIC Adaptation" and thought "Great, a remake/adaption that actually makes sense out of HIT/Mattel's seemingly baffling plots and plot devices!" Like, for instance, the TV episode NEVER explains as to WHY there is a jet engine on Sodor when the majority of Transport is Steam/Diesel Locomotion and why was Thomas able to stay on the tracks when the jet was supposedly making him achieve speeds that would realistically have him flying off at the first sharp bend?! Good work!
"Flying through a station wall." Very nice reference to what TRXN does best in his YTPs. BTW, I can't help but notice how the models occasionally blinked, those new models?
"That thing could of sent you flying through a station wall" now if you'll excuse me said Gordon TRXN has asked if I could do exactly that and with that Gordon crashed through kirk ronan Station wall and everyone laughed.
i love how Gordon's final line played out saying he could have gone through a station wall when in engines of sodor he crashes into tidmouth station oh i love irony
The New York Central Railroad actually built a jet powered train in 1966 called the M-497 or "Black Beetle" by taking a Budd RDC-3 , streamlining the front and put 2 GE J47-19 jet engines on it. They tested it on the line between Butler, Indiana and Stryker, Ohio where it reached a top speed of 183.68 mph. However despite success the NYC didn't consider it commercially viable as it would soon merge with the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1968 which itself was involved in the development of the Metroliner that was being funded by the U.S Department of Transportation.
Gonna be honest, when the Jet Engine crashed and I couldn't see Thomas, I remembered "realistic" in the title and thought it would end there. That would have been something....
I don't know whether you watched the episode, though if you haven't then don't read what I'll post below. Thomas went too fast around a bend and crashed while the jet engine exploded. The Fat Controller was annoyed but not with him. Nobody was blamed not even the scientists.
5:54 ...did he just blink? Or a split-second glitch? I haven't played Trainz in years, so, I don't know all the fancy new stuff possible with Trainz 2019.
Seeing as Sir Topham Hatt realized the whole disaster in this video, it's pretty clear that Cranky's carelessness ended up causing confusion and delay in the actual Season 6 episode. Sir Topham Hatt should have scolded Cranky severely for his careless action.
That was Brilliant! Thrilling and Explosive! Though if I may, I would've actually liked it more if that explosion actually had one of the Cinesound Sound Effects used commonly in the sixties to early nineties. Those I heard were much more impactful!
He didn't choose to set it as such, it was automatically marked by RUclips's bots. But I do wish he'd go back through and unmark them, I do miss the discourse in the comments and letting his videos play while scrolling through other things (Mobile user).
Thanks for letting me narrate this for you! 😁
Very good narration. I should have known that Gordon crashing into a station would have at least been referenced here.
I must apologize for my behavior on your Discord server.
GORDON WALL CRASH
Wtf this ain’t a YTP, something is not right.
I didn’t know you were narrating this until the credits played.
“Flying into a station wall.” Yeah you would know, wouldn’t you Gordon?
I was hoping for that line
+Gallant Cavalier
I believe you should be referring to TheRealXBoxNerd.
Ah the station joke, still seen even without the visuals
Especialley with TRXN narrating
STATION JOKE!
I know it’s a little detail, but I do like how you addressed what I personally considered the biggest plot hole of the original episode- why on earth Thomas would want to “go as fast as Gordon” when in the first episode, he did and said he never wanted to do it again.
That simple line of “just once, and without being stuck to the back of Gordon’s train” was the simple fix it needed; thank you
He wanted to go faster just not behind a train
Going fast on your own is one thing but being dragged is another
TheRealXBoxNerd is narrating, and Thomas is going to crash? I must watch this.
Yeah WHERES THE STATION JOKE?
@Black cat good point 👍
@Black cat Love that continuity.
@theflyingkipper42Kirk Ronan. That’s the station’s name, hence why I call it the Kirk Ronan joke.
Thanks for the thumbnail spoilers.
Though to be fair, we did see this coming as "realistic"ifying it would definitely make it the most rewritten episode to date.
At least TRXN made a reference to the station wall joke near the end.
Thomas unintentionally set a record. Fastest speed ever achieved by a tank engine.
And the fastest crash by a tank engine
@@dyllanbowman2957 And that's saying something.
I think over 200mph seconds being Blue Peter being 146mph.
When I looked at the thumbnail for the premiere, I laughed knowing that Thomas would crash in this adaptation. Even the humor added in is brilliant.
Overall, I still enjoyed it!

Good work!
Gordon: "That thing could've sent you through a station wall!"
Thomas: "Oh? You mean like how you did years ago?"
Gordon: o///o
Good Flippy: "Well, Thomas. If you use the Jet Engine, you could get into accident."
I don't care how early I am, I am ready enough for this adaptation.
Now this was a more sensible way of telling the story than the way it happened in S6.
Yes
Young Gordon may be a high speed engine, but it's Thomas who's becoming the high speed TRAIN.
@@TheLazyFusspot_3428 Thomas is an engine. 😄
@@poodabran Ik he's an engine but he's not whole without the jet engine, which therefore makes him the hst.
TRXN doing something outside of a YTP? Hmm, how interesting....
“I think iv found the problem the batteries were dead we should have checked them” 🤣🤣im dying
You think. grunted thomas sarcastically. LOLOLOL
Lol
Makes you wonder where those scientists learned how to do experiments.
TheRealXboxNerds Voice is so just perfect for narrating it's so good.
3:43
The Signalman was alerted and he called ahead!
“CLEAR THE LINE, IT’S A RUNAWAY TRAIN!”
He yelled.
Original version of Thomas and the Jet Engine, huh?
This realistic re-write of Thomas and the Jet Engine was fantastic, Not to mention perfect narration be TheRealXBoxNerd!
"Flying through a station wall." Very nice reference to what TRXN does best in his YTPs.
BTW, I can't help but notice how the models occasionally blinked, those new models?
I love how the overall spirit and tone is still kept, while still maintaining realism. Good job!
This was really interesting and fun to watch, and I can see you had a lot of fun making this one! Definitely your best adaptation so far!
I saw the thumbnail and the title, and I already love this!
TRXN did a great job at the narration and I love the mentioning of the 747 it’s so sad to see the Queen on the skies depart us, loved this remake :)
This was an awesome adaptation! I even like how you have the Jet Engine emitting exhaust. I think it really added to the whole ride!
Really interesting take on this episode. I do agree in real life Thomas would have easily derailed going at that speed.
Not to mention, the premise is more realistic. What are the odds that Cranky's hook could have turned on the jet engine's switch?
@@Guyduddeee 180mph likely, considering two jet engines were put on top of a budd railcar once and it went 108mph
I love the reference TRXN makes about running through a station wall with his station joke
That was a nice Realistic Adaption, & sorry that the U.K. 747 Boeings retired.
simpleflying.com/british-airways-boeing-747-retirements/
Loved the TRXN reference at the end! Had no idea until the end of the vid that it was him narrating! Keep it up!
3:22, 4:20, & 5:54 - Thomas And Gordon Blinked
4:25 - Gordon almost derailed
6:10 - Gordon and his departing train vanish
It’s just a glitch on the wheels on Gordon’s model
I paused at 3:22 and it looks like Thomas’ eyes disappeared entirely!
The blinking isn’t a goof, it was probably added for realism.
4:53 The ultimate bruh moment.
"That thing could of sent you flying through a station wall" now if you'll excuse me said Gordon TRXN has asked if I could do exactly that and with that Gordon crashed through kirk ronan Station wall and everyone laughed.
Pity they couldn't get James comparing Gordon to a jet engine in this adaptation... "They're both full of hot air!"
Dang, RealXboxNerd's in this? Can't wait!
Yay! My all-time favourite Thomas & Friends episode!
I love the energy you put into the narration.
I remember that you mentioned that Thomas could derail from the jet engine's speed in that video about the realistic death and injury count.
i love how Gordon's final line played out saying he could have gone through a station wall when in engines of sodor he crashes into tidmouth station
oh i love irony
Thomas the Jet Engine is a season 6 episode released on October 15, 2002.
Many people believe, when the rocket reached a full speed it might explode and the driver turned into crisps.
3:22 thomas BLINKED
I love how like half of the comments are about Thomas and Gordon blinking lol
4:57 I laughed way too hard at that 😂😂😂😂
This is a really good adoption
*Insert DOUBLE BOOST to meme here*
I am surprised Thomas' wheels didn't melt from all of that friction.
Goof: at 4:02 The Narrator said "Bertie the bus was waiting at the crossing", but Bertie is at the bridge.
Perhaps a change of plan by T1E2H3's part.
Exactly!
Gordon snorted. "This cocaine ain't as good as the ones from the alleyway behind wellsworth hospital," he grumbled.
I feel like this is what Thomas and the Jet Engine should have been like.
SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I PUNISH THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

4:56 The last words heard by the crew of the Titan looking at the controller
This Was Very Well Done! I Liked The Fact Thomas Crashed, It Looks More Realistic, TRXN Did A Fantastic Job Narrating This, Great Job!
If you look closely, in 3:22 an 5:53 you can see Thomas and Gordon look like they're blinking
This is waaaaaayyyy better that the original
“This”, he said “was a catastrophe!” 😂
"I think I found the problem." said the scientist. "The Batteries are dead. We should have checked."
“you think?” Grunted Thomas sarcastically.
"Never the less." Added Sir Topham Hatt. "Having jet repelled trains on this railway, is not something, I approve of."
Thomas couldn't agree more.

Amazing what flat batteries can cause such consternation !
This my favorite Thomas episode on the old tv show

You're going to be here a while here sit rest now tomorrow we will see what happened, but in tell then you must rest here.
This is cool and funny at the same time. Love how you added a little extra part
This sounds like how Thomas and the Jet Engine would’ve been if it was in the Railway Series books.
I wonder what trouble Thomas will get into in this adaptation!

I would totally do the rest of season 5 for the the next adaptations
Maybe James and the Trouble with Trees could get adapted with Thomas being replaced by Toby and being mocked and apologised to by James
Therealxboxnerd is talented
6:10 Gordon despawns 😂
This has to be my favorite of your adaptations
Does everybody see Thomas blinked? 3:22
Looks like it was upgrade to make their eyes blinked not just Thomas but all the characters.
Yes and so did Gordon at 5:54
Imagine if it was Gordon, James and Henry coupled up to the jet engine instead of Thomas.
A very good adaptation indeed this is my favorite so ever.

Wow that was the best adaptation yet Great job 10/10 😎👍
This is going to be epic.
I stand corrected. This IS epic
