    Spartacus' Revolt (71 B.C.)
    During the suppression of the slave revolt led by Spartacus, around 6,000 slaves were crucified simultaneously along the Appian Way, stretching over a distance of 200 kilometers between Capua and Rome. This event remains one of the largest known instances of simultaneous crucifixions in history.

      I mean, the act is proven, the event, and the person involved cannot (in fact so many facts of the event can't have happened, not just the way presented, but in detail).
      Another issue i saw is the shape of the Roman Cross (the Assyrians just used a single pole and usually tied the victim), and actual period evidence suggests the overall shape was a capital T not a lower case t (the error seemed to have come the supposed placement of the sign that the Governor had ordered to be on the supposed victim, which is further evidence that those telling the story, had not seen the events)

    • @Bobjpeg-fo3tr
      @Bobjpeg-fo3tr 25 дней назад +5

      Great thinking, if I may have you view this from another perspective, The cross Jesus Christ bore, being a capital or lowercase T really doesn’t really affect the validity of eye witness accounts. If we are being honest the Bible is not to describe what the cross looks like, it was portraying Jesus suffering to pay the price for your sin and my sin, and for the sin of the world. It doesn’t matter weather the grass was light green, or just green, what matters is that there was a picnic on the grass. Sometimes details like that are not essential to something’s intent. I like your knowledge on ancient history, and dark science, but I just wanted to maybe suggest viewing the same position form a different standpoint.

      We even see this mentioned in John's account of Jesus's death.
      John 19:31-33 ESV
      [31] Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away. [32] So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who had been crucified with him. [33] But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.

      Psalm 34:20

    • @terryjacob8169

    • @TheDerperado
      @TheDerperado 26 дней назад

      The cause of death could vary. Some died of heart failure due to extreme pain and stress, some died of blood-loss caused by flogging.
      Jesus Christ might have died of flogging induced blood-loss, since he is mentioned to have died just few hours after being crucified.
      Usually crucifixion victims survived much longer than Jesus did, suggesting that he died of blood-loss.

      Unless you’re piercing a major artery, you wouldn’t bleed out because the nails aren’t removed. Yes you would have some bleeding, but not enough to cause death as the nails keep the vessels closed due to their pressure being driven into the cross. Dehydration is possible tho given you are exerting the body and forced to bake in the desert sun for hours or even days.

    The death on crucifixion is not as simple and easy as it is believed, not only asphyxia cause death but these factors togather mske it worse ever
    Sepsis- The nails that used for the process were sometime rusted and when they come in contact blood and tissue they causs severe infection in the body that lead to high fever, unconsciousness and finally death, also rotting of wounds cause more pain infection
    Bleeding - sometime nail passes and hit some major artry or vein that cause heavy bleeding during and after nail insertion this also lead to painful death
    Dehydration - As we all know the crucified person cannot eat or drink this lead to sever dehydration causing slow death
    Hypoglycemia - A person dies agonal death due to lack of food which cause low level of glucouse day after day

    As a retired surgeon, and reading about the science behind Jesus’ Crucifixion, I have always had difficulty looking at representations of him on the Cross. Most representations are anatomically incorrect.
    The “correct” version is so horrible and violent that it brings me to tears.
    Obviously he KNEW what would happen to him. Living in that time, he must certainly have heard (and witnessed) the screams of those people who went before him.
    He most certainly had no “illusions.” If I am ever honored to meet him, I will certainly express how terribly sorry I am for his having had to experience this. I know he is no longer in pain.
    But I am equally certain he has not FORGOTTEN the experience.

I did over 40 years ago and it has made all the difference between life and death for me. Choose the Son for He is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6a)

    The punishment of crime in some ancient societies was so severe because criminals weren’t always caught, and often managed to escape punishment, and so the authorities made punishment so severe to dissuade easy crime. It made people think, “yeah, I could pretty easily steal those coins. But is it worth a small chance of such pain?” This mindset was present until fairly recently even in the US, back when tampering with US mail was punishable by hanging.

    This RUclips video honestly has toned it down ALOT. The reality is much much more horrific. Yes it was a combination of body function failures. Loss of blood (Jesus fainting and falling trying to carry the cross) Extreme thirst (Jesus saying "I thirst") Respiratory failure, Kidney failure, Heart failure all happening at the same time. When the Roman solider pierced Jesus side, "Water and Blood" came out of his body. This is pericardial effusion where fluid builds up around the lungs and heart from lack of oxygen, loss of blood, kidneys shutting down and heart racing over 200 beats a minute trying to get oxygen flowing. The heart will eventually burst and rip apart like tearing an overworked muscle. The horror of what humans can do to cause suffering.

    It was also very common for those condemned to crucifixtion to be severely flogged before being nailed to the cross. This would ensure that the victim was already in a severely bleeding and weakened state before being nailed to the device. This would result in death by blood loss. You did NOT want to be a Roman citizen and be crucified, as Romans were not allowed to be flogged before being nailed to the cross. This extended their suffering by orders of magnitude because they didn’t have the “luxury” of bleeding out before they asphyxiated.

    slight variets do occur. While it was common to nail from the side of the foot and use two nails, it is possible to go through the front. At least in Jesus' case this must have been the method used. The Scriptures point out that Jesus never broke a bone, therefore the nail must have gone through the front. John 19:36.
    Also when you were propped up the sudden jolt of weight is enough to dislocate both shoulders. So breathing would be even more difficult because all of the arm weight is being put on the collarbone, not the shoulder socket.

It scares me to think other intellectual lifeforms on other planets also evolved with this sadistic intelligence.
