Cases like this are the reason why there should be no early release for anyone convicted of a violent crime, especially murder. And who was it that thought that it would be a good idea to grant an early release to someone sentenced to 70 years for murdering his infant daughter? Whoever was responsible for that has the blood of every one of his later victims on their hands.

So I was in my 20's when this was occurring. One of the victims (out of respect will not name) had a child who was in school and a student of my mother. She was an amazing mother just trying to provide for her child. Not a drug addict as most were lead to believe. It was heartbreaking. People forget that people are human too. It was a shame that humans tend to forget that all victims have people who love them. Not sure what I am attempting to say, except this case taught me the status of a person was more important than the actual person.

Yup I learned this at an early age. I was 18 and homeless and people would treat me as less-than-dirt when they found out. Used to be a really social person but became a complete introvert after seeing the truth of people. Cynisicm became my protection mechanism and has saved me so many times since then. Its sad but honestly, when it comes to human interaction no matter how mundane. The question "what are they getting from this?" Will almost always allow you to have insane prophetic foresight when it comes to people and situations. Nobody fldoes anything for free.

The general public was much less knowledgeable about abuse back in the day, especially during Bill's first marriage to Terrell. I don't know id Terrell was in her right mind or not, but at that point in time a lot of people still considered it relatively normal for a man to hit his wife unfortunately.
Public consciousness on abuse started shifting the late 80s after a series of widely viewed tv movies about what it was really like to live with an abusive husband or parent. I still remember the Burning Bed rather vividly.

It's what separates serial killers from the so called common criminal. They seem like your best bud or the nice guy in the neighborhood. Why they are so damn difficult to catch. I wrote an essay last year about the way european (and so, american) societies view the body of women, and the similarity in medieval times with today. One of my point was about prostitution and sexuality, and how a woman was seen as less respectful if she shows more skin or have sex. Well, my example to support that was studies where prostitutes were asked how they were treated by authorities when they reported a crime. The majority of prostitutes do not report to the cops, because they are often not listened to. Those women are not deemed "deserving" of protection in our society, and it's a shame. How many women have been assaulted and killed, but the authorities didn't care because they were sex workers?

The fact this man was let out of prison after only 10 years is just one more proof that children don't matter to the courts. He brutally abused and MURDERED a two-month-old infant. Apparently, that doesn't matter to the "justice" system. Who cares if he was a "model prisoner"? He didn't have access to his favorite victims (women and children) while in prison, so how he behaved around men is 100% meaningless.

That's what "death row" is like these days. Many of the death row inmates literally die from natural causes before they go on row because of how long they're made to wait. Many of them even outlive the parents of their victims. It's a vile and a sorry excuse of a justice system that allows this.

It shocks me how so many people look at a dead body and immediately think it's a mannequin. I'm 50 years old and never in my life except in one place behind a discount store that my friends and I hung out behind when I was in high school, have I ever seen a mannequin in public. Never mind in a wooded secluded place or a park or on the side of the road. If you hear hooves think horses until you see zebras.

I think seeing a dead body is so shocking that people's minds try to protect them by thinking oh that's a mannequin, not a body. Also, maybe dead bodies lose all the blood flow and take on a paler appearance, similar to how a mannequin looks way lighter in color than a live human body has. I don't know, since I've never had the misfortune of finding a dead body, but since so many people have said they thought it was a mannequin, I suspect there must be something off about the colonization that mimics the color of a mannequin.

A fkg lightbulb?! Sick fk .. it's all sick. Sex workers are people, too. Many have families who love them. So many of these predators treat them like toys, without regard to anything but their own disgusting urges. We don't know how or why they end up there. But regardless, they never deserve this kind of fate. 😢 These women are usually just trying to survive or maybe fund an addiction... either way, their murders deserve as much attention and justice as a mom or child or grandpa in small town USA.

What you did with this when talking about the victims was great because you didnt lead with "prostitute" when describing the women this vile man murdered. Kelly Whitecloud comes across as a complete Legend for providing so much information. I hope she managed to ive well after this, There was a similar case in the UK (1975-1981) The Yorkshire Ripper case that the Police totally fumbled . They assumed that the killer only killed sex workers and ignored a Young girl who had survived an early attack by him because 'he only kills prostitutes". I absolutely Love your work. You do an awesome job of providing so much detail and I have noticed that in some of the cases, if something is too horrible to talk about you won't go there for the purposes of "sensationalism" or extra "likes" . You don't chase subscribers by talking about the really appalling aspects of a case and will say. "You can look that up if you want to know more, but I am not telling you because that makes me really uncomfortable" You are a very skilled Broadcaster with integrity.

Well luckily, President Trump signed a bill making animal abuse/cruelty a felony in all 50 states. Prior to that, it was just a misdemeanor. The kind where a small fine paid, no jail time. If I remember correctly, Trump's executive order (?) makes it a mandatory LONG prison term.

I never want to read another comment of complaint from (mostly) people from the US who feel that sentences here in the UK are a joke...
It's absolutely obvious to me that, although sentences in America for murder ARE definitely much harsher (for the most part) and are far more appropriate than our UK sentences (it's quite rare for a killer to be handed a full life tariff here and it's usually given to offenders who commit multiple and/or unusually brutal murders.) - there are absolutely far more similarities in our two DESPICABLY inadequate (ie corrupt) "justice" systems.
How the absolute F*CK does somebody who beats a BABY to death EVER even have the possibility of parole? HOW?
There are far, far, FAR too many instances of cases wherein an offender commits at least one, but many times MULTIPLE heinous crimes like SA, r@pe and even murder, only to be released on parole. And surprise, surprise - they go on to eacalate their crimes to murder or to kill again...
People always complain that the system is broken and needs reform. But the aforementioned situations are proof, to me at least, that the system isn't broken at all.
On the contrary, it functions precisely as it was designed to do. The rights of evil doers are in the main elevated above those of their victims. Child predators are given slaps on the wrist and released back into society after serving their sentence, and within no time, they've escalated from SA to SA and murder.
Even the least intelligent person understands that if no witness is left alive, there is nobody to point an accusatory finger. We've known for years and years that child predators are unable to be rehabilitated. Therefore, why would any well-meaning authority, with the best interests of children at heart, decide that releasing these POS predators is the best course of action?
Considering how educated, how intelligent and how powerful those in such positions of authority are, it would follow that they would realise after all the previous cases, that these individuals need to be locked up for life.
The fact that the opposite happens, that such evil people are many times treated more leniently than people who sell certain plants...
How is this logical if justice is the end goal? How, if the safety and security of the public is at the forefront of their minds? Doesn't make sense unless we consider that many of these authority figures are simply looking out for their own ilk.
Aaaanyway, i know nobody will likely read that rant, but I just had to type it out and get it off my chest because sometimes these cases make me so angry, it doesn't feel healthy to push it all down.
Thank you, Sommer. I truly appreciate and enjoy your content very much.
Much love to all, from England ❤
