Star Wars did the Garbage Planet thing, it was kindof a neat premise. Without getting too into it, it was described as a place where "all droids go to die" and was portrayed as mass graveyard.
Transformers has Junkion, which is either a chunk of Cybertron shot off into space, or just a planet sized smorgasbord of all the planet's trash, depending on what version you prefer. bots there turn into trashy Mad Max style bikes and trucks. Wreck-Gar is pretty funny.

it is a few years since I watched this anime about a space junk recycling crew (it got complicated in the end, plans of extraterrestrial colonisation and terrorism and all that) this certainly reminded me of it

Our androids land on the junk planet after a few decades and call it home fonding other discarded androids.
There really is a picrew for everything. Being literal junk hurts. We might be an android, but we still have feelings you know. Anyway, we’re in space now. That’s kinda cool.
