Thankyou for the video, my dad gave me an old td24 to play with, helped a lot. Dumb question, getting the fuel line grommet back in, does the grommet hold the outer case on or is there another part?
Thanks for watch my VID. I guess your TD24 is with diaphram carbureter. The plastic outer case is connect the grommet to primer pump. There is no other part in between.
@@BrushcutterStory That sounds about right, one would assume if the grommet rubber is degraded then it wont hold the outer case on properly. I'll replace that and see how we go, thankyou! Also, do you do other brands like Stihl, I've got a Stihl FS52 which I am repairing, a disassembly vid would be good
@@dtbloomer You are right, degraded grommet wont hold the outer case. For stihl fs52, i do not have this model yet but i do have other model of stihl on the queue for rebuild.
hello friend, I have an old td24 but it does not start because the carburetor does not put petrol in the combustion chamber. I tried to disassemble and clean the carburetor but it still doesn't work. How can I do? (all the rest of the engine is ok)
Well, you might start from fuel filter in fuel tank, suction line and primer bulb. If all are good. Then have you replace the gaskets and diaphragms. If the diaphragm become degrade or hard, it would not work properly either pump or metering. Makesure no leak either gasket or metering valve.

What type of carburetor, float or diaphragm carburetor.
