I remember watching this when i was around Seven (My parents didnt take any notice of the age certificates.) I loved it from the first second!! The story, acting score etc are all perfect!! I always said i would have loved to seen a sequel to the movie to find out what happened to Linda.. A few years back i came across another amazing British movie called 'Personal Services' and thought it was yet another amazing movie. After a small amount of research i discovered it was the unofficial sequel!:D
"Have you always had small tits and a big bum? Thought so!" This made me laugh bcoz that's the kind of thing my co worker and I would say to the clients under the dryer when we were apprentices! They always nod their head coz they think your offering them coffee!
Steven Evans check out the comment below made by Kurt Jones. That'd be another great text tone. Have you found this movie in a full, uncut file yet, well at least before you received your DVD? Burn it for me. Haha...
Thank you for posting this one...this one is great. I remember watching this many years ago, and thought it was fabulous. Oldie but goodie, greetings from the sunny south
Classic movie! Thanks for upload! Watching it now well part 1 lol. Have got on dvd somewhere and was going to watch it tonight but you saved me the trouble finding it tonight and going to watch on here. Cheers. Steven
MrVulcan09 This movie was very catchy when I was young, around 9 or 10. I believe it lead me to rebel against everything, especially what people expected of me :-D, lol. I'm thankful that this RUclips user has posted too. It hasn't been made on Blu-ray, and is considered rare on DVD. I used to own this film on VHS, but my mother sold it many years ago at one of her garage sales, which she sold many of my things while I was at school during the day. :( boo! Look at me now mom.
@@abelsandate3350 That's often the trouble with parents: nothing they give you (or which you buy with money they give you) is ever considered really yours, and can be "ungiven" at the drop of a hat.
I found out that the girl who plays Lynda at age 11 is Emily Lloyd's half-sister and the two girls who play Margaret at ages 7 and 11 are the director's real-life daughters
Now why would her dad immediately believe the tell-tale-tit of a sister like that? He's only just back home after years away, so he can't know her to have "form". And who's he to be lecturing Lynda anyway? He's a bogus hypocrite himself, with his illicit bookmaking.
Love these kind of movies.
One of the best British films ever made.
Love the look back on life in 50's Britain
Another reason why 1987 may very well be the golden year of modern cinema.

Quite funny when get a text on train or my mobile rings LOL
Steven Evans Can I do that on my iPhone? That's a great idea! The line is classic, especially with Lloyds tongue sticking out. Crazy blonde. Lol

awesome film.... how Emily lloyd didn't get bigger film roles is beyond me
The Necessary Evil I concur
She suffered from mental health problems. That's why her career ended so soon. Very sad indeed
I didn't know that. That's very sad to hear 😢@@KatyAmber123
Such a pretty lass! although there's been some cruel photos of her more recently you can still see the same sparkle if you look hard enough :)
