To answer that question, yes they do. Most children are aware once they reach a certain milestone. Also, we got to think about the adults. Mom and dad want to have a regular childhood experience for the little one and want to see their little ones reflected in the toys that they buy, just like many black parents would want to see a toy with black skin.
