I'm a published cardmaker and we had to think of seasonal/holiday ideas for cards six months in advance for the future magazine issues.. Sometimes it was really hard to come up with fall ideas when you were experiencing spring. Pinterest boards are wonderful for saving seasonal/holidays ideas when you need inspiration.
I have 1 bin for each holiday except Christmas I have like 5 for it I tend to rush the holiday decor My parents and a few brothers and sisters have gone to heaven. I'm 64 and I feel close to them when I look at holiday decor. My Mom loved holidays and natural decor God bless you
I love the neutral colors together as well, and I am NOT a fall /winter person. I love spring were you get to see the rebirth of everything and have beautiful flowers coming in.
Oh Andrea, thank you so much for this. I go through such periods of discontent with my home and then realize I have no right to be. I am truly blessed to have a home at all. I am going to write down your list and read it often. You are such a blessing to me.
An idea doesn’t have to be revolutionary to be inspiring. You’ve inspired me to finally paint all the faux pumpkins I have, well not all because I have way too many but, eventually. I don’t know if you’ve tried this craft but when my children were little we’d go to the park when the leaves change color and collect leaves for a wreath. I used a grapevine wreath as my base then melt bees wax and dipped each leaf in the wax place on wax or parchment to set(sets quickly) then I got glued all the leaves onto the base. I still have the wreath and made several over the years for friends and family. TFS and the inspiration.
You are such a breath of fresh air. We are having excessive heat here in CA with over 100 fires from lightening storms all over the state, one city has been evacuated, plus our Covid 19 numbers are very high. It's so nice to be able to distract from all of that by watching your wonderful posts. You are so beautiful, with such a beautiful soul. I wish you tremendous success. Btw, you are a true artist, I don't think you know how good you are.
Lynda Lara I would like to 2nd your words Lynda. Andrea’s voice, personality and her home is SO CALMING to my soul.... I’m in New York with craziness ....so I can semi relate to you thoughts and situations. We don’t have the heat and fires..... but the COVID-19 and all the NEW RULES ...and lose of cities , people, etc... Take care... BE SAFE.... I know that God has His hand on all this... maybe nothing more than to “humble“ our souls and call on Him even more... 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hi Lynda . . . I'm in California too and the air has been thick with smoke. My oldest sister and one of my nephews live in danger areas. This has been quite a year!
I absolutely love your natural color tones. Not too loud and it gets you prepared for the richer colors like for October, then on to Christmas...Yeah! And yes, would actually appreciate some cooking/baking videos. Along with crafting ones as well. Can’t wait to see them, take care and God bless...
I am in Ohio. I enjoy fall weather through October. Then I am done. Keeping summer decor up until Christmas time this year. Year has been horrible. Anyhow I always try to bring nature into my spaces. It certainly makes those spaces the most coziest.. Shop your yard. I love that you did that.
One thing I did a few years ago that I'm so happy I did was I planted an apple tree from Walmart ($20) and in the fall now in our front yard we get these big beautiful green apples. They look great and I can have my kids pick them and last year I had enough to make applesauce!
I love both, but I love pumpkins too, so Sept 1st I start slowly bringing out fall decor, I love when the leaves change colors etc... plus I love Thanksgiving, and then Christmas! I have so much stuff I really need to go thru and sell and purge my stuff, I’ve been collecting stuff for over 35 yrs, so yes I have a lot !!! I would love to see a cooking. Video, its always fun to get different people recipes to share and try, those are the best ! Can’t wait to see your basement too ! Thanks for sharing and look forward to more videos ! Have an awesome Day !😀❤️😀🍁🦋
I don't have any video ideas but just know I will be watching whatever you upload! I just love you and your sweet calm personality. You do a great job no matter what you post. Being in Texas, even though it is super hot, I hang on to summer as long as I can too!! Summer is my favorite season...so much so, I named my daughter Summer! 😊
Love your ideas. Beautiful projects and thank you for sharing. I really enjoy your beautiful home, projects, and your caring personality. Never let the trolls get you down. Some people will never be happy until they make others unhappy. We appreciate you!
Simplicity is beautiful! You always have such amazing ideas! I bought a wreath from Walmart. Very plain with greenery and I just stuck in some white pumpkin picks and it's precious ❤️! Total cost $20.00.
I'm having so much fun watching people's fall hauls and decor, but truthfully this is the real way I'd decorate, it's more timeless and less cluttered, and the colors are in sync with the house. Very soothing to the eye. The one thing I want to buy more of this year are candles (both LEDs and soy based) to cozy my space for colder weather. Do you diy candles or use them for the cozy factor?
Love fall. Cant wait. I do not do pumpkins but love fall colors.and love the pretty dried flowers .light my candles get out pretty fall throws and pretty colors and i am happy. Love thinking about cozy days. Turn up my ac and awwwww heaven right now.loved your tips.aways ready for your videos
I agree, I like to hold on to summer as long as possible! I'll wait until early October to decorate for fall . Lately,my style has been more vintage and simple.Thank you for all of your ideas! Really enjoy your videos! ,🍂🌾🍁🎃
Andrea ... I would LOVE for you to show me how you paint pumpkins. I love the greens, greys & neutrals, too. I look forward to seeing your videos, thank you for your inspiration. You have a lovely home!!
I am the same as you. I just got some white knit pumpkins and a kitchen towel that tells how to make apple pie. I have my wreath from last year for my door.
I agree I love enjoying each season to the end of it! So many retailer rush the seasons and it is sad! I also love the neutral colors of fall! I love how you keep things fresh and refreshing! You don’t have to go buy everything and cookie cutter decorate to have a beautiful home! I believe the natural, live aspects and organic is what makes your home so real and beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us! Your Tennessee friend and fan
I so enjoy your taste in decorating and I think your home is beautiful.....in fact, you are beautiful also!! I could be your grandmother but when I listen to you, I feel much younger and inspired! Thank you for that!
I love your humble spirit Andrea! And how you won't go out and buy new decor until you've gone through your current decor. That is SO commendable. And I really admire that, especially as I am one who refuses to spend a lot of money on decor....period! I can't wait for the rest of your fall videos! I've got my own fall series coming out soon too!
I would love to see your porch, patio and garden in the fall. Outdoor spaces are perfect places to enjoy that time of year. Also your families favorite autumn outing or dinner. Maybe you could give us a peak at how to begin painting, you could show us a fall landscape. Some simple techniques to practice? Really I just learn from you, your such a joy.
I love your idea of fabric pumpkins and making fall wreath! I also eliminate color for fall to green, cream and brown. It’s more versatile and easy incorporate summer decor.
Love your decorating and diy stuff and yes I think if you have some recipes you would like to share I would love that. I definitely would love the recipe of those cookies in this video!! So go for it when something comes up that you would like to share! You’re a joy to watch😊❣️🌷
I already have pumpkins on my porch. In my defense I grow a large patch each year and harvest when they are ripe. I decorate for Christmas by thanksgiving because my Grown son enjoys it when he visits.
I live in hot and hotter FL. I like to start decorating beginning of September to fool my brain that it's not still ungodly hot outside! I'm loving neutral decorating now. I love simple and inecpensive diys. We made toilet paper pumpkins...covering a tp roll with fabric and just scrunching the fabric into the center of the roll. We used either a rolled up piece of a lunch bag or cinnamon stick for the stem. Great kids craft too!
I have been watching on my Smart TV and pressing the thumbs up; however, I’m not as smart as my TV to learn how to comment. I am in the processes of painting my walls light colors. I’d like to see once I get a neutral color house. I’m think I could get rid of my boxes and boxes of decorations and learn how to just add maybe 4-6 items per holiday. I hope I’m making sense. I’m getting older and need less work but love holidays.
Hi Andrea, I agree with you in that I like seeing the typical fall colors, but I prefer blues, greens, creams, grays, etc for my home. I would love to see some of you decor ideas involving your fall decor.
The green, white, ivory,& creams are my colors..I love pumpkins haha looooove them!! But use only these colors. I decorate more spare like you and adore Fall but my house feels mostly like spring to me. So the greens feel peaceful and cozy with big knitted ivory throws, etc. I'll wait till Sept to decorate it's blasting a heat wave in So Cal right now..so it just seems way too early to put out Fall. But like you..I also love the traditional colors in other people's homes. So cozy!🍁🍂🍃Sure would love a pumpkin painting tutorial...thx!
Yes greens and blues are my favorite colors. I just might add a few sweater pumpkins I make this year. Maybe a champagne pink one in the mix. I am not ready for fall yet. I wear my flip flops and shorts as long as I can. I am going through my fall things and picking up a few things here and there, but, not putting anything up yet. It is too soon. Once I do, I add the Halloween in on top of it. Then when that is over I take the halloween away and keep what is left of the fall and add a few things for Thanksgiving. A day after that holiday I start putting up the Christmas things and packing the fall away. The Christmas things stay up till sometime after New Years day. And then it is just a few wintry things to cozy up the house. And I take a breather for a while. I find that I am doing less and less. Spending less and less on that stuff. It is very pretty but just more stuff to store. I did a massive declutter last August and gave away most all of my furniture. Whew, that was a lot of work. Traveled a while and just moved into an adorable smaller apt. Taking my time, going to all kinds of garage and household sales to pick up a few things. Not a lot like before, but just enough. God Bless.
I’m Karen and I can’t wait to see your fall bin unpacking video! I would love that at Christmas too ! I also would love to see how you painted the gourds and made your pumpkins with a live video . You are wonderful!
Fall is my favorite time of year, the colors are beautiful and the weather is wonderful. Love all the natural elements your share in your home, very beautifully done!
Yay!! A huge basket of dried golden-colored gourds and a white pumpkin or two, and I’m set till winter! I like it better when the house doesn’t scream FALLLLL! 😉😉☺️ Loving your restraint, Andrea!
I would suggest showing how to make a wreath using found objects in your yard or at the thrift store. Also, how to decorate your Windsor boxes for the fall, as well as your front deck to make it look warm and welcoming.
For me, as a now retired schoolteacher, Fall started when school went in in Sept. I focused a lot on decorating with sunflowers, apples, colored leaves, scarecrows and cornstalks. Halloween decorations were not added until October.
Another great video with such good ideas! I would appreciate a tutorial on painting pumpkins. They look so amazingly good. I LOVE the green! I would love to see some DIY crafts/baking & cooking/painting, just anything instructional. I liked the lamp transformation you shared. Maybe do a tutorial showing us how you gather and put together your flower arrangements. I would find that helpful. Anything you do to decorate/create for your home, I always enjoy so much! Thank you!! 👏🤗
Your home looks great whatever the season. I feel the same way you do about fall. Summer is so short and living in Illinois, winter starts early and ends late. I love watching people decorate for ideas but I wish summer would last longer.
I love this video and have decorated my own home based on your videos. Love how you style faux flowers and have many now in my home. Yes please do a tutorial on painting pumpkins and gords. I also love your hair, is it naturally curly or do you style it that way. In a few of your videos you have it in a messy bun. Would love to see how you do that. I really enjoyed your make up video as well.
I am from Michigan and fall is my favorite time of year. I would love to see some cooking/baking videos on your channel🙂 All that you do, yes, please share. Have a wonderful day!
:) I don't blame you, I'm not ready for fall either! I live in Indiana about fourty minutes from New Buffalo, Michigan. Winter is so long I must admit I'm not crazy about winter. You have inspired me so much, I have redone two pieces of furniture. Thanks for the insperation! :)
I love the colors you use Andrea! I would like to use those with a pop of brown and Carmel colors. You are so amazing. Don’t forget that. We all love ❣️💕
Omgoodness lucky u sweetie🥰👍 We live out in palm springs California area and it is in the 120's degrees with humidity😬🥵 Its like this every single summer and early fall🥵🥵🥵. We cant wait til late fall and winter seasons🙆♀️🙆♀️🙆♀️ lol
I absolutely love your home and your decorating style! Your home is my inspiration for decorating my home. Thank you so much for the wonderful videos!!
Lots of really great ideas. I've been combing Pinterest for inspiration also, and have been trying to figure out what I want to do in my home this year as well as introducing fall and winter content to my readers so early in the season
I wish summer was short here in Southern California. It was 111.1 yesterday and our air conditioner went out. Thank God we have a pool to help cool off until our air conditioning company comes out next Monday.
I'm a published cardmaker and we had to think of seasonal/holiday ideas for cards six months in advance for the future magazine issues.. I agree totally on waiting for the seasons. I never put anything out until the fall equinox. Or Christmas stuff until Dec 1st at the earliest.
I love that you used the color green and beige for fall, lovely.

I am so with you! I want to embrace summer as long as possible. Fall has a beauty all it's own, but the summer is way too short here is SW Ontario.

I would love a video on how you paint your gourds. You have a beautiful home!
For me, as a now retired schoolteacher, Fall started when school went in in Sept. I focused a lot on decorating with sunflowers, apples, colored leaves, scarecrows and cornstalks. Halloween decorations were not added until October.
Yes cooking. Love all of your tips!
Thank you!! 👏🤗
Love the wreath idea and color your old pumpkins idea.
Thank you for not pushing the seasons. We have a short summer season in Colorado also and I want to enjoy every moment before the calendar says fall.
Your home looks great whatever the season. I feel the same way you do about fall. Summer is so short and living in Illinois, winter starts early and ends late. I love watching people decorate for ideas but I wish summer would last longer.
Your home is so beautiful. I have Celiac Disease and would love to see more of your gluten-free recipes.
I love this video and have decorated my own home based on your videos. Love how you style faux flowers and have many now in my home. Yes please do a tutorial on painting pumpkins and gords. I really enjoyed your make up video as well.

Lots of really great ideas. I've been combing Pinterest for inspiration also, and have been trying to figure out what I want to do in my home this year as well as introducing fall and winter content to my readers so early in the season
how about cooking your favorite meal and sharing!
Visiting Michigan on vacation! Definitely beautiful summer weather! I definitely get wanting to soak it in since I live in Wisconsin.
I wish summer was short here in Southern California. It was 111.1 yesterday and our air conditioner went out. Thank God we have a pool to help cool off until our air conditioning company comes out next Monday.
Oh my word haha! I'd love to visit CA one day! :)
Thank you. Whatever you do is fine with me. I so enjoy your channel 💖
