I read that this place has almost 100 percent of unemployment. Crazy to say the least. Gas water and electricity is turned of because people don't pay the rent. Unbelievable that the parents don't force their kids to go to school and make some money so they can pay the bills.
I would like to see rich parts of Košice as well. Not far away from Luník 9, there is a rich neighbourhood called " Miliónka". It's the third video and it's very one sided...
Andre you show us other side of people in Lunik 9 because a lot of them dont want to find a job but there are others who are looking for a job and want to change their life. Are you coming to visit other vilages in the east of Slovakia, e.g. around Trebišov or part of area of Tokaj (vilage - Viničky)
But André has mostly shown the cover anyway... or the first page, if you want. There are many much more desperate people living there, on drugs, alcohol, hungry, not feeling much love... Even the host was aware of that - he said there are maybe 7 good families living there - and he obviously knows well. He visited exactly the family being able to host him so that it looked positive like this. There is much more depression and even tragedies in those blocks than on the video...

Bravo, Andre! I said in my comments to your first video that you needed a guide, and you found one. Obviously, he introduced you to a "friendly" family, and you have to realize not everybody would have been so welcoming, but they were great. Some points of interest: The buildings are in disgusting shape, but that is not the fault of the residents. The inside of the apartments was pristine, if crowded. As I understand it, Roma have a long tradition of cleanliness and hygiene, far from the way they are seen by outsiders. Everything was colorful too - also typical Roma. The daughters-in-law did the cooking (and probably most of the housework - we saw one sweeping), while the mother acted as a gracious host. Which is fine - she once did her turn as the daughter-in-law who did all the work too, and now she's earned her turn on the stage. It was generous of the family who lived in a homemade hovel to allow you to film - the inside of their house was also pristine. So sad that he lost a son to drug addiction, but I loved the way he looked forward to his birthday party with his children and grandchildren. You made one mistake in this one - pushing them to tell you the Romani words for simple phrases. I know you were trying to connect with them, but their language is private to Roma. You finally took the hat off! Didn't it occur to you that it was making you hot? Bravo anyway!
Don't write unverified nonsense. They are not discriminated against. They got the apartments for free, they destroyed them themselves. Everyone who pays for water has water. At least they learned to throw garbage in the containers, because until recently they threw it under the windows. They receive social benefits, allowances for each child. Anyone who wants to and who is healthy and responsible can work. Children go to school, they can continue further education if they are interested. Better work, better pay. Their health insurance is paid for by the state, public resources, that is, from people's taxes.
Yes, they keep the inside of their homes in good shape, but it ends there. The shape of the buildings is not the fault of the residents? Are you kidding? You should know how these people treat the properties the government gives them / lets them live in. A new building gets devastated within months. Surrounding properties are almost immediately taken apart, everything that can be stolen is. The fact that some of these people are sometimes welcoming doesnt mitigate the fact that 98% of them dont work, 85+% of them base their living on stealing and getting benefits. I have lived close to the same kind so I know what im talking about. You do NOT want to be anywhere near them.

I nadal my sami wyrzucamy śmieci do lasu. Ten zwyczaj porządkowania śmieci wziął się dopiero odkąd ludzie zaczęli wykupować mieszkania na własność i tworzyć wspólnoty mieszkaniowe. I’m always waiting for new videos from u André …simply love to watch your videos 💯
Hi, I am a German gypsy and i appreciate your videos.
You are? I'm American born Sintizza/Romungri and I DONT appreciate this or his other "gypsy" themed videos at all. I find them racist and insulting
Not this one and others about Romani people. He goes in predisposed in opinion about us. No damn good
They were so good to you, bless them. Great content
big balls on you bro! keep up the good work, zdravím z Česka
Andrei, super video !
I read that this place has almost 100 percent of unemployment. Crazy to say the least. Gas water and electricity is turned of because people don't pay the rent. Unbelievable that the parents don't force their kids to go to school and make some money so they can pay the bills.
it always begins with the parents. Everything after that is the consequence of that
many people already work there

How do they get a job when the rest of the town calls them thieves and animals?
Andre, thank you for your video, I am your big fan and Kosice is my hometown.
When I saw beginning, was wondering are you freak? 😅 Now I know, you did a good job, bro. Respect for you.
You impressed me now !
I would like to see rich parts of Košice as well. Not far away from Luník 9, there is a rich neighbourhood called " Miliónka".
It's the third video and it's very one sided...
you should visit Trebišov, about 50 km from Kosice, there is a settlement called (Tábor) its really terrible there (some people eat dogs)
.
Počkaj! To Trebišov je ešte horší ako Košice?
Some people eat even milk and they are lactose intolerant or even worse there are vegans
Vlog Now brother
Andre you show us other side of people in Lunik 9 because a lot of them dont want to find a job but there are others who are looking for a job and want to change their life. Are you coming to visit other vilages in the east of Slovakia, e.g. around Trebišov or part of area of Tokaj (vilage - Viničky)
It's good to see Your travelling in other countries than Poland 🤠👍
Never judge a book by its cover. You did a grat job there André 👏
@@eltwarg6388 yes but at least now we know there are those 7 "good" families 👍

I love your content❤❤❤ Cute 🎉🎉🤗
Nice video , hope you gave some money to the nice family feeding you and showing you around. Also to those people that showed you their houses. Or at least some clothes / toys for the kids.
To be honest i would never decide to go alone or in two people (especially with women) to somewhere like Lunik, just becouse i would be scared. Thanks for showing the world what it looks like boy. Greetings from Poland
Bro just invited himself in the gheto to get some fashirky :D :D
"Fašírky"
Nice content and a great way to show that people are people. As Andre is Jamaican, I'm sure he has seen worse poverty than this. (I am also Jamaican).
It doesn't get much worse than this just because this is in Europe it doesnt't make the place better. It's worse than many places in Africa and South America.

These gypsies in the getto actually have a lot of old junk that would have big value for some people, I remember this internals in Poland in the 90s!
If the wider society continue to discriminate them and not offer the the opportunities for education, job and health services then of course they will be forced into doing crimes not by choice but because of lack of opportunities. Please try to open up your eyes and see injustice!! Those kids deserve education & health services.

That was very interesting. You are v. brave to go into roma heartland. What a nice fella Leo is.
Im from Košice but i never been there. No one i know is going there. Before it was really dangerous to go there
Brawo Andre.
I nadal my sami wyrzucamy śmieci do lasu.

they are gypsies but their origin leads to india. They are the outcast indians in fact.
@@janmojzis I know these studies... but not really. Gypsy comes from Egypt, they used to be called Egypsies... so they are more likely outcast Egyptians.
@@evickaklierova3107 I have never heard of this, in fact, many aspects of their culture are more India-based than Egypt-based. Sir Lewis Carrol's book Alice in Wonderland 2 :Through the looking glass. The concept of this book has several meanings applicable in what we percive as our reality,on different dimensions .A looking glass is the old english term for a miror.Alice steps through the mirror in her sitting room and arrives in a world where everything is backwards, like people look and behave strangely, and most other things are not as Alice or the reader would naturally expect them to be. The person you see in the miror isnt exactly you.Logic that is opposite of common logic.Looking glass is an analogy that describes environments where everything is in reverse of standard reality. These are very warm hearted people. Thank you Andrew
I hope you gave them some money for their hospitality!❤
Pred zopár rokmi im štát postavil nové byty, s vodou aj s ústredným kúrením, v tichej lokalite Košíc blízko prírody. Bytové domy si takto zdevastovali sami svojou nezodpovednosťou. Deti im chodia do školy.
