There is no show better than shadowhunters on freeform they made a mistake at cancelling the show.

Why it probably got cancelled. Hmm. I've always been a fan of Cassandra Clare. I read all the Mortal Instrument series in a week; I was completely obsessed. I've always wonder why the translation to the books to screen has never worked out. I think it has to do with the fact that the books have issues too -- but also, not to forget, the approach the movie and show had to the plot. The books were about Clary finding out her IDENTITY and most importantly her MOTHER WHILE stumbling with things in the way. That's what the character wants. I think the movie and show get too caught up in the romance and that's where it falls flat to me. It becomes distracting and awkward. What kept me going in the books was the mystery itself and how every chapter was a cliffhanger, something we lose in the show AND movie. I also had a huge issue with the main actress, the show, she's just not right for the role. Lol. Her acting is so awkward -- the dynamic on screen feels like she's acting on a soap opera, too dramatic, and emotionally each shot does not deliver because of it. I think the show failed because of the reasons I listed above -- I think they knew them too, but kept pushing because of views and money. Shows are supposed to be good because they expand a world and give room to detail 😭 hopefully one day in the future someone will get it all right.
