The amount of love I have for this is out of this world. I am one of the biggest Savage Garden/Darren Hayes fans you'll ever meet (it's ridiculous, really) and have been for years. I have NEVER come across a Savage Garden cover that I even remotely enjoy. This is pure perfection. My jaw stayed dropped the whole time I listened to this. I didn't think it was possible for anyone to sing this in the same style and key that flawless Darren does, but Kendall did it and did it perfectly! He hit every note effortlessly. I already loved Heffron Drive and Kendall, but this gave me a whole new appreciation for just how absolutely incredible Kendall's voice truly is. This song is nowhere near easy to master and Kendall did. He sang it with as much passion as Darren and stayed true to the original 100%. He did this song more than a little justice.
I think Kendall Schmidt is better than Darren. Look at him singing flawlessly while playing guitar and arranging the synthesizer. It's really difficult things to do. Not many people have the talent to concentrate at many things at the same time.
+Lisa Russell He has the good singing techniques. Guess what..He reminds me of Klaus Meine. The transitions from low to high or from high to low are done smoothly. And he can hold the high notes for long time without taking another breath.

And now he chose to introduce Heffron Drive through his own record label after "suffering" for sometimes on BTR. I can't blame him though because he needed to fund his own record label. I'm amazed by his voice change, if you watched the video about The Schmidt Brothers, he barely hit the high notes and his voice was raspy and kind of baritone. But now his voice is smooth, high pitched and he can play with the high notes like he's surfing on them. Usually the boys get deeper voice when they grow up. Maybe his voice is the special case. It's higher when he grew up.
