There 8 varients of this tank and numerous experimental one. And gaijin gives us the one that is under gunned, under armored, and least unique. This tank was given probably the first ever iteration of a laser rangefinder. But they dont even give it a base rangfinder, WHEN IT'S RIGHT THERE MODELED AS THE COMMANDER SIGHTS. Then it was tested with composite silica armor. Wasn't later implemented as it was too heavy and expensive. It was then given pneumatic suspension in really later versions. But that probably won't see the light of day in this game. Just out of all the varients and experimentals, the ones with stablized and unstablized, 120mm gun, turrets swapped with patton tanks, and simply just weird things. Gaijin only gives us the most basic underwhelming one. But they'll add every experimental T series tank that only has 2 prototypes ever made, like the OBJ 140.
Not only the most basic underwhelming one but then they incorrectly model the accuracy (they use numbers from a completely clapped out barrel after it was used for ENDURANCE TESTING, take it to test drive and try to shoot the center of the T-62 on the hill at 1200m, you will put rounds into all 4 corners of the UFP), and then incorrectly take away its tungsten dart and replace it with a steel one despite all evidence to the contrary
Interestingly enough this was the very first tank in this game to get darts. Not a lot of people know that anymore and that might show why so much of this tank is just incorrect In game. It's been around in the game for so long and so few people know anything about it that it at the time. But knowing Gaijin they won't fix any of the incorrection about this tank. And let's say they do fix every single detail that's incorrect or missing about this tank. They'll probably move it's BR to the point it'll be painful as hell to play.
Every now and again War Thunder will reward you with a day where they whole enemy team just walks into your guns. It happens just enough to keep you coming back for more. 😆
