I just wanted to say that I appreciate the closed captions soooo much! I’m not Deaf or Hard of Hearing but I think it’s awesome that you give people the option!
Same! Sometimes I don't want people hearing me so I just use them. I appreciate the time put into making them since most people just use the automated ones.
Hi Masha. Can you show us how to do an edge color switch with a new color of string being introduced for the first time? Also I have seen some patterns where two or three new colors are introduced on the same row. Can you show us how that is done? Thank you! ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💚 ❤️ 💙 💜
thank you! i just started my first alpha bracelet and the tutorial i was watching previously didn’t help me much with colour switching, but this explained it better! i finally got the hang of it, thanks!
Am I the only one who thinks Masha predicts the future? I was going to make a spring alpha and the entire bottom is grass, so I need to use this technique a lot! 💖
Thank you so much for this video!! This video has answers my questions when it comes to the string going behind the knot instead of through it. I’ve been trying to find a way so my bracelets don’t look messy. Thank you!
I’ve seen a bunch of people asking the same question with no reply that I saw so I’ll ask again… How would you do a Color switch bringing in a new Color on the first knot of a row?
Ha came here looking for that same thing. Specifically the way the green is introduced (it’s circled in the thumbnail but she never mentions it…) Is there just loose string hanging from one end of you bring a new color in at the very start of a row and that color hasn’t previously been used?
Thank you for this! I’ve been struggling with this problem for weeks! And your the one who helped me make my first alpha so I looked on ur channel and found this thank you again🐼
Hi, Masha!!! I needed this video so much! Yesterday I tried to make my first alpha. The edges weren't really pretty. I just didn't know why. And today, you made this video! Thank You! Now my alphas will be neater👀❤❤❤
THANKYOU SO MUCH MASHA I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A TUTORIAL ON THIS FOR EVER AND I HAD TONS OF COOL ALPHAS I HAVE ON HOLD THANKS TO THIS I CAN MAKE THEM THANKYOUU ❤❤
One thing that's been asked a lot on my pattern #53435 is how to do edge color switches while introducing a new color string. I've discovered my own ways of doing that but I don't know if you have other ones besides the ones already covered in this video or if they change in some way
I need help on situations like this one: P= pink B= brown p p p p p b P p p p The p that I’ve put in uppercase is a knot that I always struggle to make it right. It’s like the pink string gets dragged and always look awful. Any tips?
in the third section of the video, I always have trouble with those kinds of knots I find that you always see the switch and it so annoying and idk how to fix it this prob doesn't make sense but if it does please help!
question! - when you put the original leading string [pink in this case] between the new leading string [brown] do you put it between all the brown knots till the color in the pattern returns to the original leading string or do you only put it between for the first brown knot?
how do you start a pattern where there is two leading colours at the same time eg pattern 118572...when you click on the blue line it starts under the yellow from the very first knot ....super confused
Hi I have been having trouble with making the base loop when you start bracelets, every time i try to make it a loop it slips and spreads out when I knot it. I was wondering if you could do a video on how that will not happen or how to fix it?
Since this video is two years old I don't know if you will answer this, but I am following a pattern and I am almost out of my 1st color, but I need to switch, my switch is on the edge and has not been put into the bracelet yet and I am super confused, I don't know if you have a video on this already that you can send me a link too, but any kinda of help would be great. :)
How short can I cut my threads in the back ? I just finished my first alpha bracelet TT TT I rly needed this, especially the second technique where you put the previous leading string behind the last string for the color switch... they're popping out on mine but I cut them kinda short. Hopefully the cut threads don't loosen and fall off ^^'
I just wanted to say that I appreciate the closed captions soooo much! I’m not Deaf or Hard of Hearing but I think it’s awesome that you give people the option!
Same! Sometimes I don't want people hearing me so I just use them. I appreciate the time put into making them since most people just use the automated ones.
and it also helps me because I'm not fluent in english, and my listening is terrible, so the captions are really good to me
I’m hard of hearing so subtitles also help me.
As an not native english speaker it's also easier to understand everything when you can read what you hear :)
I'm sensitive to sound, so the captions are always a joy to see for me too ❤
I don’t think you realize how much I need this! I am finally going to make an alpha now!
How did it go?
Same!
AMEN!
This is so helpful, I always have the colors sticking out when I do the straight edge technique, now that won’t happen anymore!
Great video! Your string tension is goals

Thank you so much for this video!! This video has answers my questions when it comes to the string going behind the knot instead of through it. I’ve been trying to find a way so my bracelets don’t look messy. Thank you!

Yes! This is what I came for, too.
thank you so much for posting these videos!! your tutorials are always so clear and easy to understand!!😊
What if you are starting a new color that isn’t in the pattern yet on the edge? The string will be hanging off the side. How do you prevent that?
I had to figure this out myself because there was no videos but I did it the same as Masha
I need help on situations like this one:
P= pink
B= brown
p p p p p
b P p p p
The p that I’ve put in uppercase is a knot that I always struggle to make it right. It’s like the pink string gets dragged and always look awful. Any tips?
how do you keep the edges so straight? i use the flat alpha technique but my edges are wonky
Love the bracelet!😍😍😍😍
Thank you for this, I needed this =)
Also I’m early bestie
Thank you so so much this has helped so much with my confusion on the color switching on the edges of a bracelet 😊 i love your videos

WE LOVE YOU MASHA
Haha I ran into this problem and I kind of just went out on a lim and just did it but I’m glad that their is a tutorial now! Thank you Masha!
is it possible to start a new color on the edge? I mean to start an entirely diff color on the row
I AM SPEEEEEED
What do you do if you need to add new string at the edge when you start new row? Thank you this really helped me!
What is this pattern? It is so pretty!
Have you tried the clean back alpha technique? What do you think about it? Thanks a bunch for your great tutorials!
in the third section of the video, I always have trouble with those kinds of knots I find that you always see the switch and it so annoying and idk how to fix it this prob doesn't make sense but if it does please help!
I was waiting for this video for ages😍😍
where did you gooo??? i misss you 🥰💕💕💕
I've been just adding two extra base strings to each side so that no strings will poke out. Tysm this is so helpful.
I mean, that works too haha
Thread will now be savedddddd.....
Yayyyyyyyyy
Wow I’m a minute early. I’m also in a slump so this is helpful
bro thanks so much i literally needed this so badly
Just saved my life thanks
Hi thank you for the tutorial. What happens with the ends of the added colour strings. Do you just cut them off ?
i've always avoided making certain alphas because i couldn't figure out how to switch colors at the end
I would have gotten here earlier but I was casually feeling like is as gonna pass out so that fun 😂
question! - when you put the original leading string [pink in this case] between the new leading string [brown] do you put it between all the brown knots till the color in the pattern returns to the original leading string or do you only put it between for the first brown knot?
I've been waiting for this 😂
Thank you so much masha knots I love your videos
Oh my you don't realize how much just needs this Ive trashed about 6 alpha because I couldn't switch the color on the edge
How do you cut off strings that end on an edge and you no longer need, without the left over sticking out??
how do you start a pattern where there is two leading colours at the same time eg pattern 118572...when you click on the blue line it starts under the yellow from the very first knot
....super confused
Masha, could you please try doing an upside alpha bracelet
Do you have any tips on how to do row-switch color changes while using the clean-back alpha technique?
Tysm!!! I really needed this video!!
Hi I have been having trouble with making the base loop when you start bracelets, every time i try to make it a loop it slips and spreads out when I knot it. I was wondering if you could do a video on how that will not happen or how to fix it?
