Sunrise Hits On Striped Bass + Everything Eating Sand Eels At Dusk
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 26 сен 2024
- Striped bass bites at sunrise with swim shads and well not much else. Running into a few better size stripers that kind of shut down right off the bat. The Long Island sound sand eel bite cooperated a bit better at dusk with a mix of porgy, bluefish, striped bass and more!

I’m not trying to be means but for those who don’t like striper fishing I think something wrong with you. I just lost a very big striper the other week because my rods setup is for ultra light. I loved striper fishing no matter what time of days and seasons and I’m in search along the bank or shore catch one or two. Great content and good size fish caught, may God be with you wherever you go fishing. Tight lines! 🔥🔥🔥
Its just not really relevant to us Wilmington NC folks and that’s a large majority of his following I like it though
Nothing better than top water action. I used to fish the southern Connecticut waters from the beach and you could wait hours before the fish came in close enough to cast to. It was always worth the wait as nothing beats big stripers/blues tearing up bunker close to shore. That’s frenzied top water plug action.
Another beautiful sunrise! All o f creation declares of God’s Goodness!
Love these vids. Reminds me of my youth fishing the island and the sound minus the yak. Massive scup/porgies too! Those were roided up scups!
My dad tells me stories of the huge porgies they would catch in the sound years ago. We’ve reeled some nice ones into the boat but he said back then, they called the giant ones “hump head” bc they had a big lump on ‘em haha
Completely Flawless. Thanks for a reprieve from hot and fishless NC.
this is every cast. Never a dull moment
What a beautiful Day Elias, Going to sit back and enjoy
Thank you!
With the heat we've been dealing with in NC, I don't blame you for a full couple weeks of NY fishing.
Nice multi species action. Thank you for sharing
Never heard of Scup until your last video so had to Google. I guess they're a type of Porgy. Sounds like they're mighty tasty though. 🤤🤤🤤
Pretty good to eat!
Perfect timing Elias, I have 38 minutes left at work!
looks like a fun trip!
Great video, as always. Hoping you'll provide links or info on the net you use. Also, your water shoes. I like Crocs (especially in summer) until rocks find their way in.
Well done. Was wondering if you'd keep any of those Extra sized Scup ... now for a catch & cook? ( Still working through the 2.5 hour epic episode. )
They aren’t bad - I do find most of the other fish around here to taste better though!
Im one of those people who love to eat stripers. Sashimi or poached with a variety of sauces. I rarely, if ever, fry my fish.
lots of good bird action in this one #old mossback
When you going back down to the keys mate ?😊
Nice day iconic NE fish!
I am curious Elias...here in Southern Maryland we are seeing a resurgence of slot size redfish. No scientific research or expertise here, just personal observation. Are you seeing southern fish species migration into more northern waters? It is not unheard of for someone to catch and release a tarpon inside the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia waters...
are these the ones called "bream" Down Under?
Nice!
Man I want to get a striper. I still never got one. Didn’t have luck in the Brunswick river when I went this past season, but only went once lol. And the water was horrible.
That water quality roulette in the winter sure is stressful.
I’d like to know what town you’re launching from ? I’m from Islip (with no north shore access), with All the towns having residential restrictions , how are you getting access ? Thanks.
A few public places to get in on. State Park the easiest ones, but a few spots have meters.
What part of the east are you in now?
Long Island
The days of the birds working over the water here in Delaware are gone. It's a shame what has happened to our shoreline. Don't come to De. to catch fish inshore.
Sad to hear. Water quality? Same story in many places.
@@EliasVFishing Beach replenishment and the loss of the mole crabs and structure.
@@goodman4773 yep that too - sad to hear
Hey, look at those snow capped mountains in the distance! lol
👍😎✌
you have a fricking net . use it , try to catch by hand 18.00 annoying . first time i quit early
I’m wrong either way. I get flamed for netting a bluefish - flamed for a tail grab. I love the internet.
You quit watching because of that? If you are that sensitive you might want to avoid the internet 😅
Dude have you ever netted a bluefish? Disaster scenario
Dont listen to those googans. Keep tailing your bluefish.@@EliasVFishing
@@EliasVFishing dont bother with this one. he's probably trying to launch a inflatable off battery park.
