I love watching people build their own homes in every variety they come in. This build was thoroughly enjoyable to watch, but for some reason, seeing you grout the green tile was somehow the most satisfying five seconds of the whole video 😂. Nice job all around.
Great craftsmanship, well planned out design project from electrical ,carpentry, plumbing ,cabinetry and a good educational media platform,a luxury motor home .. Just awesome ,thanks for sharing guys. 👍👍👍
This is how van build should be ,do the work , time lapse the full build and get on with enjoying the van life. I have watched this video a dozen times in my van playlist. FYI only builds with time lapse make my playlist. I am in the process of building my van,not this elaborate, this video gives me inspiration to stop procrastinating. Very nice build happy travels. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks so much for the kind words 🙏 we’ve definitely been enjoying the van since we finished. All the best with finishing your build, I hope you get it done soon. Although building it is all part of the fun 😀
Thank you! Ooh that would be cool! Bike would take up a lot if headroom though - have seen a few vans getting around with motorbikes on the back though.
I found a man who builds custom vans for stealth camping. He makes room for a motorcycle to fit nicely in the space while in the van or traveling. His specialty is building vans that are truly stealth camping/ living perfectly. Check him out if you want to fit your motorcycle or scooter in without compromise. ruclips.net/video/aawqV44whds/видео.htmlsi=PhpcRHdC6CHuMXbp
The best van conversion I’ve seen and I genuinely mean that. You’re so talented and every part of that is highest quality. Great video, thank you for sharing.
The was so well thought out. You are extremely talented the safety details are incredible and so helpful to watch so if I needed help to build mine I won’t feel bad and I will know key details to look for. This is super helpful and I absolutely love this design. Well done 👍
I enjoyed this video. I like seeing the waterproofing methods, the use of primer prior to painting, installing the insulation, the wiring, and watching you two tackle things step-by-step. Nice editing, also. 🍻
Finally another aussie dually . Awesome video. I wish id documented my build more, however my build is still going. I think this is my 3rd year lol. I look forward to following your advantures .
Cheers mate! There’s not all that many Aussie builds on RUclips is there. I’m glad we documented ours, but it definitely added a lot more time and effort to the build, especially having to remember to get the camera out every step of the way. We only managed to get ours done on such a short period as we set a hard date to travel, put more pressure ourselves than was probably needed 😅 hope you get yours finished soon and hopefully see you on the road somewhere!
Sorry for your ears 😂😅 it was tough choosing music to try and keep it interesting as the build progressed. It also has to be copyright free and RUclips doesn’t have the biggest library! Glad you liked the build though!
Thanks! We actually have 3 freshwater tanks in total (2 under and 1 inside) giving us nearly 200L of water in total. This usually lasts us 4-5 days. Would be nice to be able to catch some rainwater from the roof though!
I am thinking bout gutting my current full Aluminium 1974 Viscount 16ft x 8ft Caravan, which I currently live in at the moment, but, am thinking when get place of my own, is completely gut the interior put a brand new roof on the outside, and am thinking about with the 2 large air vents, is include solar panels on them, so can literally have the vents open and the sun is also charging the batteries, but am thinking should I continue with the rebuild as the original setup, but more modern or completely something different, for the age and rebuild it different inside,...please let me know your comments on what I should do with it, it's been a great little van...purchased in 2004.
That’s a tough one! Should have good bones being all aluminium. Depends what you want out of it, how much you want to spend, and how much work you want to put in. A minor renovation and new solar system would go a long way - solar stuff and batteries have come such a long way in the last decade alone. A full strip and rebuild would be a huge project and the biggest change is probably aesthetics. Whatever you choose all I can say is it will probably be way more work than you anticipate (based on our experience building the van out 😅)
We have 400ah of batteries, 600w of solar, a dcdc charger and an inverter. I had a rough understanding of what was needed but then did plenty of research on forums and RUclips.
Sorry there wasn’t more of the final product at the end! We however did do a separate video with a van tour showing every nook and cranny of the finished build in more detail 😊
Would have been nice if you skipped the music and explain what you was doing for people who hasn't built a car like this before and what kind of car you recommend buying
This video was just for a bit of fun and most people watching probably aren’t planning to do a van build. If you are interested in the detail though, we actually documented the entire build across more than 30 videos and went through every decision from choosing the van, planning the layout, electrical system as well as talking about the different materials we used - all the videos are in our Van Build playlist
Haha 😅 I’m not sure I’d be up for that, this was a massive project that took up all our spare time. There are plenty of small independent van builders out there though who do client work - if you are looking to get a build done you could reach out to them. Some friends of ours had a similar level build done to ours and I think it took around 400 hours of labour plus materials
Unfortunately there’s not a huge selection of royalty free music for small channels. We have since gotten a license for music in newer videos. Hope you still enjoyed the build
What's with the sound dampeners ? Are you building a p*do van? I've watched many van to camper projects, but never seen a sound dampener being installed... is it to keep outside sounds outside, or inside sounds inside?
It’s sound deadening not sound proofing. Basically it just stops the tinny noise of the panels on the van and makes it much nicer when driving - does nothing when the van isn’t being driven. Sprinters have some from factory but we added extra to panels that didn’t have any
Sorry you felt that way. I was trying to keep the video as short as possible and it was mainly about showing the build itself. We did a detailed van tour video showing the finished build
You posted this video 7 months ago but you still rply everyone's comments. Ok you got a new subscriber.
Appreciate that! We always appreciate when people watch and comment and so we try to get back to everyone
Amazing and inspirational... Love the many cool design elements!
Glad you liked it!
Best conversion on YT guys. Finally someone built a bathroom.
Too kind! The bathroom was essential for us for the type of travel we planned which mainly includes free / low cost camps which don’t have amenities
The more i see of these van conversion the more i realise , im just going to have to get an already kitted out one 😅. Fantastic job guys 😊
That’s definitely the easier option 😅
I love watching people build their own homes in every variety they come in. This build was thoroughly enjoyable to watch, but for some reason, seeing you grout the green tile was somehow the most satisfying five seconds of the whole video 😂. Nice job all around.
Thanks for watching! The tiling and grouting was a pretty satisfying thing to time lapse and watch back so I totally get that!!
Great craftsmanship, well planned out design project from electrical ,carpentry, plumbing ,cabinetry and a good educational media platform,a luxury motor home ..
Just awesome ,thanks for sharing guys.
👍👍👍
Thank you very much!! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Ingenious the way you are storing your bikes. Beautiful job.
Thank you very much!

A great build from scratch. I want to get a van that I can put my motorbike in as well as live in

Right off the bat, love seeing you saved the original floor as a template, no videos I have seen before this has shown people doing that
Using the old floor saved us plenty of time and hassle!
Very nice original layout. I just wish the final walkthrough was a little bit longer. Thank you for posting
Thank you! Yeah you’re right, it could have been longer, sorry! Thanks for watching 🙌
I first saw this video at 30k views, its blown up now well done guys
Thank you!

Smart video hope you both have a great time in it and build great memories with it am from UK 🇬🇧 😊
Thank you!! We have been enjoying the build and have definitely made some great memories already so far ☺️☺️
Great project with such a reward at the end! Enjoy!
Thank you! Definitely very rewarding when we finished 😌
Wow what a build, really nice to see u both worked together on the project 👏 👌👏
Thank you! It was definitely a team effort and definitely a lot of work. Very satisfying in the end ☺️
Looks great!

This is an awesome accomplishment and video. Thanks so much for making it. Hope you enjoy a lovely home you've built yourself.🎉
Thanks so much! It was a massive project but an awesome learning experience. Very much enjoying it now 😀

Nice work and it looks so good...🤙🤙🤙🤙
Thank you!
Я из России (республика Дагестан) и восхищаюсь работой этого чувака, такие крутые идёи итд я еще не видел
Thank you for the kind words!
OMFG... The music... My ears are still bleeding. I had to mute it. What an f__king racket! The build was brilliant though 👍
I am a 69 year old Brit pensioner getting ready to start my own build and I am loving the music each to his own
@@stevencrabtree2414 Absolutely! In fairness, the first track was really bad, but the ones after that were fine. I'm just a miserable old git ;-)
Sorry for your ears 😂😅 it was tough choosing music to try and keep it interesting as the build progressed. It also has to be copyright free and RUclips doesn’t have the biggest library! Glad you liked the build though!
I turned it down earlier as I was already listening to classic FM 😂. Fantastic build 😅 "couples goals".
Great job, looks amazing, awesome work 👍💪, God bless 🙏
Thank you 🙏
Impresionante!! Eso si es construir desde 0!! Woooww quedo hermosa!!! Felicidades a los dos y que impactó sabes de todo woow
Thank you 🙏☺️
I love the video. The editing is top-notch. But the music IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 👏🏾
Thank you 🙏 glad to hear you liked the music too, have had mixed reviews so far 😅
Absolutely fabulous ❤
Thank you!
Beautiful 🤩

I love the song change
Glad to hear you liked it!
Nice build bro 👌👌👌
Cheers mate 🤙🏼
Bom vídeo excelente parabéns 🎉🎉🇵🇹
Thank you 😊
Very nice!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Thanks Kim!
I need the sound track. All those songs were fire.
Appreciate that! Have had mixed feedback on the soundtrack. All the songs should be listed under the description and available on RUclips
great❣🎉
☺️☺️
Wow nice ❤
Thanks 🙏
if ya have shower you can do anything. stay away from sugar, low carbs:-)
A shower definitely makes things easier!
amazing!
Thanks!
loved it
Glad you liked it!
that's cool.. the problem is that I don't have a car yet and it definitely costs a lot to make in Indonesia.. I can only dream, friend
Keep dreaming! You can do it a lot simpler than this build and still have it very practical
Nice ❤
Thanks!
Cool, it would be possible to install an additional barrel for water on the roof
Thanks! We actually have 3 freshwater tanks in total (2 under and 1 inside) giving us nearly 200L of water in total. This usually lasts us 4-5 days. Would be nice to be able to catch some rainwater from the roof though!
Absolutely beautiful, if you do not mind. Can you please share where you purchased your kitchen cabinets from?
Thank you! The cabinets were from Ikea, and the bit around the fridge we made with 12mm ply
Odd question but how tall are you guys? I’m doing a van build very soon and I’m 6ft so just curious of your height and how much room you have.
I’m also around 6ft and have a couple of inches clear of the ceiling. Glad we went the high roof version!

Cheers!
Plzz i want to see the van tour also 😅
There is a link to the van tour in the description! It’s also in our van build playlist 😊
Wow.. great build… I did have to turn the volume off to watch this video.. the music so distracting 😅
Thanks! Yeah definitely have had mixed reviews on the music 😅
TOP!!!
Se vi vengo a trovare mi camperizzate anche il mio???
Thank you! Haha once was enough 😅
What was your general system for elecricity and how did tou know how thet would work
We have 400ah of batteries, 600w of solar, a dcdc charger and an inverter. I had a rough understanding of what was needed but then did plenty of research on forums and RUclips.
@@brookandjulius thx for anwsering!
No worries!
❤
Why did lower the fuel tank?
We put in a diesel heater and connected the fuel line for that to one of the auxiliary ports on the tank. Just had to drop it for access
I appreciate all the work but being a women I would of like seeing more of the finished inside design.
Sorry there wasn’t more of the final product at the end! We however did do a separate video with a van tour showing every nook and cranny of the finished build in more detail 😊

Isn't there a 3,5 t-limit in Australia for this kind of van?
Our light vehicle class goes up to 4.5t which this van is rated for. The finished build weighed in at 3.6t so well under the vehicles GVM
@@brookandjulius ... So you're lucky to get some extra "headroom" for luggage ... (in EU these van class is limited to 3.5t)
Oh wow! thats annoying, I wonder why. We got this model specifically for its higher GVM.

Glad you enjoyed the build! We did a second version and narrated it with details on the build rather than music
Sprin..aaa
😂😅
is he the same guy in that reel where he said " Sydney I'm your boyfriend's boyfriend and i don't like to share"
Haha no! No idea what that is, haven’t seen it 😂
What an antic climax 😖🤦♀️
Sorry you didn’t like it…
Terrible music
Unfortunately there’s not a huge selection of royalty free music for small channels. We have since gotten a license for music in newer videos. Hope you still enjoyed the build
Music is bad. A song with sex, drugs, cocaine is inappropriate in so many ways.
Sorry you felt that way. There is a limited library to use and plenty of people actually liked the music
toilet fixed in a shower cabin, i'm out, thats disgusting .....
Van life / caravan life is definitely not for you then 😂💩 most van builds don’t even have a bathroom and the toilet just pulls out into the hallway…
