Mavropanos became a cult hero tonight …. What a story arc going from a mistake a game to arguably our best defender .. he’s stood up and been counted he’s should feel 10ft tall after that performance

Two months ago I didn’t want to see Todibo in a West Ham shirt again, in 60 years of watching this club I’ve never seen a transformation like this.

Minutes after Mav took that cannon ball to the face, he blocked a shot that I think may well have been a goal otherwise. What massive few days for him, after scoring the winning penalty in the cup. He is rightly just behind Soucek in line for the armband.

I'm so pleased things have aligned nicely for this relegation battle but seeing the boys fight and die for each other out there is the biggest turn around factor I've seen. I saw us dead and buried in December and after the Forest loss, I accepted relegation. Disasi, Paco, and getting Paq out of the club has done us so good. Crys sparking to life at the right time. We're a team, we're a bloody team again! COYI! ⚒

Effectively a win, despite the ref. and lines men. Apparently, we foul and Man City doesn't. WH unable to keep ball from throw in, even when it does not cross the line. Mav was magnificent, and the rest of the team we can not praise enough, Gonzo every reason to be ecstatic ! Now it is time for other Premier teams to do WH a favour today, which is long overdue.

Personally I think January was a huge transfer window for West Ham bringing in Desasi improved the defence immensely then Taty and Pablo has upped the work rate to a tempo that more befits us. The cherry on top was selling Paqueta. I had thought for a long time he was more of a liability than a benefit. As for going forward if we do survive and have to sell a player then I think it should be Summerville. Although it would be a massive blow to our attacking prowess I feel it's more important that we have the funds to buy Desasi. Also with Summervilles injuries we could lose him for at least five games a season. Up the hammers ⚒️⚒️

  • @seasidehammer2075

The biggest thing I’m taking from that is that now I can’t see us losing another game tbh - looking at the amount of attacking flair City had I can’t see teams opening us up - we won’t win ‘em all but I just can’t see us getting beaten atm ⚒️

Had hearts won at Kilmarnock and Ramos didn't score with the last kick, it would have been the perfect evening

  • @stuarttunnersinsingers514

I’m getting too old for these types of games. I almost had a heart attack about half a dozen times.
One thing occurred to me. How many times during Loppy and Potter’s reigns did you and Geo say that they had not improved any players, maybe bar one maybe two players only for Loppy and no-one under Potter.
Well, how many players would you say Nuno has NOT improved?? Even Hermansen has improved and he looked like Kinski does now when he was dropped after 4 games.
Amazing! Utterly amazing. And the way this turnaround has happened could not hv been predicted. Some Ppl may have predicted we would survive the drop, but they would not have predicted the manner, HOW, we are avoiding relegation. Never in my wildest dreams do we go from most ppl accepting we are going down to now when we are completely and utterly proud of every single player out there on the pitch.
UNBELIEVABLE. Geo was 💯 correct in his recent video, this is the most likeable team we have had in quite a while. I’m absolutely loving this.
Now we can enjoy watching the games today. Coz even if one of them gets a result we KNOW now that it doesn’t matter.. We will continue to drive on. COYI ⚒️⚒️⚒️⚒️

It seems like when Mavro, Hermansen and other players were having a bad time on the pitch, Potter wasn’t good at getting them out of a hole. Whereas Nuno seems to have given the squad mega jolts of confidence ⚡️
