I'm loving the mix of Indian sounds into the Celtic music. I was raised with Celtic because my father comes from Cape Breton Nova Scotia, but I'm not a very traditional person, so my interests shifted to Hip Hop and Electronica as I got older. Then I moved to Vancouver BC, a place with a large Punjabi population, and I saw a band called Delhi 2 Dublin play at a festival, and they were a band of mostly Punjabi guys who had combined Bhangra sounds with Celtic sounds, as well as other influences from Electronica to Rock to Reggae, and it reignited my interest in Celtic, as well as making me very interested in how Celtic sounds and Indian sounds fit so well together, especially when given a modern Electronica flair. I spent a while looking for other bands who do very much un-traditional takes on Celtic music. Jiggy is one of the bands I've found that really do a good job of finding that great combination of sounds. I've even been inspired to try making music myself, reinterpreting the Celtic tunes I heard growing up in a way that fits my influences today.
❤ love your music, and also the video's of all different(cultured) dancing people. But also great to see you perform like this 😁 I'm from the Netherlands, we have a big festival here called Castlefest, Jiggy would fit in there perfectly!
