Hollywood mai decided nhi hota konsa particular software use hota hai , sometimes they use free software like davinci resolve and 3d has a huge variety 3D max , maya , houdini these are used for designing and sculpting and for animation Disney have their own software , blender is the new trend in 3d

I suggest you to do a video editing internship initially. If you get a paid internship, then it's best. But for experience, take free internships.

When giving example, you said that you can charge Rs.700 per reel/short from a client. My question is who the hell would give me Rs.700 for just one reel? I mean, I have done a reel for a client in the past, and I didn't do anything much in that in the name of "editing", I just added some text animations(just placed templates), and sound effects. For just this much, who would give me Rs700?
It makes sense, if you are doing high-end VFX or 2d animations for client, else it is overpaying(donation in my defiintion :9).
It's just about Skills, i have spent 8 years of my life to learn to edit as fast as I can with best quality, So I'm not charging 700 for doing simple reel Editing I'm charging for my time. (700 is very basic I have also charged 2000 per reel for a fashion brand and they happily gave me)
Nobody questions SRK when h echarged 10 Million dollars for a guest appearance of about 10 seconds, and he don't do anything just 10 second appearance.
It's always about the work bro bada socho be confident on your work and give your best work 700 kya cleint 7000 bhi deta hai for even 5 seconds:)

SRK example was great. Let's say, if a company hires SRK for an ad for their product(for 10 secs), they will give him 10million dollars because unka bhout bada fayda hoga, its an investment. If they hire a small actor versus they hire SRK, SRK s unka zyada fayda hoga, kyuki SRK ki zyada fan-following h. They will get bigger returns, if they hire SRK
But editing is all backend. Mene client k liye editing kri, with great quality, lets say. But since my time is precious, I charge them overprice. And a different editor is also providing same quality with half of my price. Why client will overpay me, why won't they hire the other person?
