the way Margot says “your inferior?” gives me chills
As a Catholic, Mary Stuart never recognized the marriage of Elizabeth's parents, Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. In her eyes, Elizabeth was illegitimate.
The incredulous was is palpable
You’re
@@ilovesesshomarusama716 your is correct as you're means you are
Denise Ball you are inferior would be correct lol not your inferior! Therefore you’re inferior makes sense . Your would only make sense if she’d said something to the effect of your car or your cat, your next to a word implying a persons personality doesn’t make sense.
"In a time of kings." Yet Mary and Elizabeth rules and Catherine Medici was In charge of France.
Rachel Steenberg but the people’s minds wanted kings
Not really.
Catherine the Medici was in charge and probably the person behind it all, but it was always her husband or sons on the throne as kings
@@benedictewrstad8379 in real life no she wasn't.She was just the regent to all 3 of her children and being a "woman" meant she had to ask everything to privy council before implementing it not to mention the fact that france was under the debt of the vatican which limited her powera even more.
I think the point was that the world had been ruled by kings for so long that now, when three women took power it was a shock to the mens systems
Mary actually spoke witha French accent rather than a Scottish one since she grew up in France
@Dan The Metal Detector Man really? I thought it was a raft engine

@@bigiron7547 I actually read it on wikipedia
In reality, Mary of Scots and Elizabeth I never met in person.
Is this Elizabeth the daughter of Anne Boleyn?
Yes, Elizabeth the first was the daughter of Henry Viii and his second wife Anne Boleyn who was beheaded. Have a good day!
@@shrishtipal6026 do you know any film/documentation which portrayed elizabeth I or mary of scots correctly?
Timeline documentaries are the most accurate ones on internet. If you wish to know how Elizabeth got to the throne. I'd recommend starting with Henry the Viii and with Bloody Mary, the catholic queen, who was the daughter of the first wife of Henry Viii. Edward the boy king would also help you understand the lineage and it's occurrences better.

I can’t unsee the Red Queen.. im sorry
The Red Queen is actually based on Queen Elizabeth I
Salah Al-Bloushi it’s ok
Dorookie omg how am I finding out about this just now?! But why did she dressed up like that?
Myr that’s a tradition
there are literally over 7 billion people in this world. You're clearly dumb for believing that every single person knows about this unimportant fact. jeez
Why do they always make Queen Elizabeth look like Pennywise from “IT”?!
Yeah, she certainly needs some makeup advice!!! Matte white foundation doesnt suit her!!
Historical accuracy. She wore heavy make up like that to disguise her smallpox marks, to hide her ageing, because pale skin was fashionable and to look like an icon rather than a real person to awe her subjects.
@@heliotropezzz333 for the record, I was being sarcastic with my reply.
@@heliotropezzz333 Actually that make up was fashion because it was what differs them from the enemy at that time: spain. So the more english (pale and redhead) they looked, the better. The queen was not the only one who used it.
@@Alagboriel Agreed. There was more than one reason why she wore it. Fashion was one of those reasons.
Why does Mary always have a Scottish accent? She spent her entire life before this in France! She only just stepped on Scottish soil for the first time yet she speaks with a perfect Scottish brogue?
@Peter Simpson 16th century
She would’ve had a heavy french accent
The women her mother (Mary of Guise) picked to be her companions were the daughters of Scottish noblemen: the four Marys.
Because it is a really, really bad movie.

candiigurl7893 very good Alice in wonderland reference while I’m watching the film
Didn’t see any mention of fact Mary is Catholic and Elizabeth is Protestant, large factor in rivalry at the time, in 21st Century UK obviously not important anymore.
unioncityman63
Lol, even the TV show Reign does a better job than this bullsh*t movie
It's just a trailer, I'm sure they'll address that in the movie
Yeah, I mean no part of the UK has any Troubles with that sort of stuff anymore...
Ever watched an "Old Firm" derby? lol
I think you’re mistaking Elizabeth with Bloody Mary. According to historians, Elizabeth didn’t really care if you were catholic
Typical Hollywood,Mary and Elizabeth never even met,and Mary spoke with a French accent,as she was raised in France.
Sources?
Drummer1000George she grew up in france.
Yeah, the Scottish accent makes no sense (if we're being historically accurate) but they probably chose that so that no-one would say 'why is she speaking with an english/french accent when she's supposed to be scottish' you win some, you lose some
"Mary and Elizabeth never even met"
If they did meet it would have been when she was imprisoned in England, or just before her execution. I presume from the dialogue in the only scene where they'll be together ('if you kill me, you kill your sister, you kill your queen') suggests that the moment is indeed taking place either once Mary is already captured or just before her capture... so it might not be true but it isn't ridiculously unrealistic either
Me after watching one make up tutorial ... lmao

My cousin Pennywise

What a bloody fantastic crossover!
Good one lmao
LOLLLLL
ON GOD I thought this was a trailer for it two 🤣🤣🤣
“Friendship into a rivalry” umm they never met and they didn’t/ rarely communicated until Mary tried to take the English throne. The meeting is probably when Mary was imprisoned, but in reality they never met (historians made note of this from Elizabeth’s diaries). Elizabeth didn’t even want to execute her, but Mary pushed her hand when her involvement in Elizabeth’s attempted assignations were discovered. She felt that killing Mary would weaken her not to mention immoral to kill another monarch despite the fact many kings have done it before.
The girls were probably encouraged to write to each other as a diplomatic tool. So, people would naturally tout a 'friendship'. At the very least, the young women knew they were cousins, and I doubt that either ever wished the other ill until lower-ranking people with ulterior motives started whispering in their ears.
TVOCD very very accurate you know your history. Yes Elizabeth never wanted to do it. It always looked bad killing another monarch of equal status unless you wanted to prevent an aire or an uprising. Mary sort of killed herself though sadly.
yeah which is odd because royals killing each other was common especially in a battle
Not really odd---the women were cousins (not that family relations alone stopped monarchs from killing each other, of course), their respective countries were not at war with each other at the time, and they had the mutual challenge of ruling as females in very patriarchal societies. Elizabeth knew that she had what was in many ways a shaky claim to the throne, as well, and was worried about setting a precedent.
my point is that the precedent was already set. monarchs had killed each other before - ones that are related (which they mostly all were closely related) and at the time Scotland was afraid England's military would either invade or protestantism would as Scotland was prominently Catholic until Marie De Guise died
Thumbnail looks like that bighead from Alice in Wonderland
BATMAN 1987 that's true

Thats what i thought
TRUE
Suddenly all periods in European history have a black man holding a candle
Or several blacks in high positions. Sure by today's standards but I seriously doubt there were that many around much less in high positions in that period. Hard to take this movie serious at all.
I thought the same thing!! lol it made the movie unreal! and the meeting with Elizabeth (that in reality it never happened) through all those drapes...so ridiculous.
@@cbear9263 lol do you think black people didn't exist in europe back then?
Of course, but not in positions of power. This movie is trying to portray blacks in higher authority and we know that was not true. Just pointing out truth, logic & common sense.
@@qwertyuiopqwertywert There be very few and far between. I imagine the few that were in Europe were in major trading hubs between voyages
Saoirse Ronan can do absolutely any accent in the world ! A great actress. I hope she gets nominated again for an Oscar for this role. She is so talented.
What are you talkin about Saoirse is Irish there's only really a slight difference between Scottish and Irish
Well, I would appreciate it if she speaks Engllish with French accent.
Ah .... why does Elizabeth look like the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland lmao
We Are Deviant Because the Red Queen was based on Elizabeth lmao
We Are Deviant And Mary Is The White Queen
Oh Yeah Saoirse Is Savage In The End Of The Trailer .
You know that Alice in Wonderland was written *after* Queen Elizabeth I lived and died, right? Seems pretty clear that the way we now conceptualize the Queen of Hearts may have been based on her. Elizabeth was famous for wearing her hair and makeup like that--it's in her portraits, especially as she aged, and the clothes we always see the Red Queen in always looked Elizabethan-era to me.
Yea... except it’s the other way around.
Wow.
We Are Deviant ikr i thought this movie was a backstrory to her
Elizabeth & Mary never met face to face.
Elizabeth ruled with her head & even kept advisors around her that she particularly didn’t
like. She was wise enough to know that she needed them.
Yes! I’d love a true version of John Guy’s work.
This is a FANTASY. There is a theory that they had met this movie explored that.
Mike Field did Elizabeth tell you that?
amira j No serious historians, and I am one, believe that. Nice idea for a film plot though.
@@mscott3918 So Elizabeth never met Mary when Mary was in captivity in London. Even as she debated her execution very carefully and frightfully.
I always thought reign was historically inaccurate, but then I watched this trailer...
reign is a thousand times worse in that department, they can't even get the outfits right
@@reihino6347 this movie is much worse than Reign. They have the queens meet in real life, which never happened. They give Mary a Scottish accent when she was raised in French court. Lol
This is much worse. Reign never once marketed itself as a docuseries, it was moreso a drama inspired by history.
And Adelaide Kane _makes_ the role if you look past surface level stuff like clothes and if she looked like the real person.
@LeroY and Adelaide is a descendant of Mary’s, from what I’ve read. :)
Reign is a fantasy they never said it was historically accurate

Was about to comment the same!
That what I though
“I will not be insulted by my inferior”! My new motto for 2019😂😂😂
Why is their relationship so romanticised? Mary tried to kill her at least 5 times...
Akhi yeah.... I was wondering the same..
Far away from true history facts
Akhi that's showbiz
Because it kind of was. They would write letters to eachother hoping they could bring peace to their countries. But what made it so difficult was the politics and misogyny during their era and not to mention that Mary had a strong claim to the english throne. Kill or be Kill. Mary was Elizabeth's cousin. So yes i think the romanticism works very well.
Also Mary didnt try killing her 5 times
It was only once and even then some historians claim that it was forged. Unless you have sites where this can prove it wrong i would be more than happy to look into it
Throwing up over my history degree right now

Luscious Angel
Absolutely, I agree!
Problem is with portraying her having a Scottish accent- Her mom was French and she was sent to live in the French court for 13 years at aged 5. She spoke French. Most of her letters were written in French so she wouldn't have had a Scottish accent. Also Mary and Elizabeth never met.
Anyone who watched CW's Reign knows how this story will end for these two queens I just hope this movie takes it further.
I loved this movie. Saoirse was hypnotic. Yes, nothing happened like it’s portrait in the movie so just see it as fiction. It was an amazing fiction movie.
What's the point of doing a historical events project if it's not going to be historically accurate? Why not just make up some random queen and take all the liberties you want? Then there's the fact that many people will base their knowledge on this movie and swear by it. Ugh can't wait!
My sentiments precisely. And the younger generations are being fed this drivel and, of course, believe it.
Becasue they are counting on the viewers to be as ignorant about it and accept the movies premise as fact.
Ugh, thank you for saying exactly what I was thinking : ignorant & dummies are suddenly gonna turn into experts right after this movie & they just gonna turn the movie to a solid true history
I literally watched this so confused - this is not how It played out

Adelaide Kane will always be my Mary❤️👑
Tris Caliston yes!!
Long may she reign...sort of
YASSSSSS
Black and asian nobility in England in the 16th century? Must be a fantasy movie..
daiichini87 Actually Europe did trade with African and Asian kingdoms.
Was thinking the same thing. They really discredit these movies from an historical standpoint in the name of inclusion and diversity.
Lol I was in awe too 😂
@Deus Vult! no actually it's history
Dummy do your research.
Yes. In principle, one should be wary of films rewriting history. But there is a fine balance between that and exploiting the drama to best effect. The scene with the meeting was essential within the drama of the film. They are even aware of the criticism that it will draw by writing in a sort of meta reference when Elizabeth says something like "This meeting never happened. If you talk about it, I'll deny it and it will be treason." The staging of that scene is very theatrical with all the symbolism, but it's great.
You know, for someone who spent most of her childhood in France, Mary of Scots had such a good Scottish accent. And I heard David Tennant so I will be watching this movie
good luck!
I just watched the movie and found it very good and entertaining.
It looks beautiful and dramatic with the Scottish landscapes and weather, the castles, the dark rooms lit with all the candles and lamps, the fight scenes, but particularly the way Mary and Elizabeth wear colourful(and theatrical) clothing yet the supporting cast wear dark or black ones.
The two women in the lead roles were excellent, especially Ronan. Both played well the dual and contradictory roles of being women yet queens, people of power. The scene where Mary leaves her son James behind(and with no guarantees of the future) was very moving and affecting.
I take the point about the historical inaccuracies of having Mary and Elizabeth meeting in person(iportrayed in a highly artistic manner), the former's accent, etc. but this is a film meant for entertainment purposes, not a scholarly documentary.
I agree, as a film it’s entertaining and worth a watch.
I am the Queen of France and you are my subject.

If the history is so good that you want to make a movie why don't you keep it historically accurate!!! Why make this dribble?
Endore TheWitchWriter Money
Guess history was not interesting enough for them. They have to spice things up.
Er, I think you mean drivel not dribble 😂
Uhm because it'll be a 2-hour film with them just exchanging letters and doing something else other than thinking about each other.
Why is it every time there is a production based off Mary it is filled with inaccuracies? Her life was a complete shitshow since before she was even born. For once I’d like to see the historic knowledge we have displayed on screen. You all don’t have to add such trite substances to such an engaging story.
I never get too mad when they portray them meeting tbh. As long as the dialogue is close to their letters and the vibe of their relationship is the same is all that matters to me. I feel like producer’s do this bc it’s more interesting than just watching two ladies write back and forth to each other. Plus them meeting gives me some weird closure bc I always get so sad when I remember Elizabeth never gave Mary her wish to meet XDD
A black lord Randolph? Asian Bess of Hardwick? Oh and let's not forget the elephant in the room 1:18, Elizabeth and Mary never met in real life.
Thought it was a Rhinoceros not an Elephant.
Mary should have been played by a Chinese woman, and Elizabeth should have been played by an African woman; what's wrong with Hollywood? But they'll get there. LOL.
And Mary did not have a Scottish accent. She spoke French.
Bess of Hardwick was not a lady in waiting. Who's historically inaccurate now?

Such a beautiful movie, saw it on opening night and it was simply gorgeous. Ronan’s performance was wonderful to watch. Robbie adds such a light to the film as-well, the costumes were so beautiful done and the cinematography was on point. Just by the first shots of the film you are intrigued, even if the film isn’t historically accurate it does do its justice, very nice really recommend it :)
Elizabeth I and Mary are opposite cases in female rulership. Mary followed her heart and her every personal craving. Elizabeth understand that to rule successfully, at that time, she had to make great personal sacrifices if she wanted to stabilize her position and realm. She broke the code to be a successful female monarch. Mary's character was not sufficient to reign in Scotland or England. I imagine this film will be more sympathetic but I hope they don't portray her as too much of a victim of circumstance. She was dealt a hand, played it poorly, and lost it all in the end.
PREACH IT! Elizabeth had gone through the trauma of losing her mother and had watched her father, brother and sister all make mistakes by the time she ascended to the throne in her twenties. She was surrounded by enemies and knew all too well that to put one false step was to lose everything. Mary grew up in luxury in France having been crowned queen as an infant, she knew nothing of the country she was to rule, and had no political skill, foresight or common sense. She thought if she could meet Elizabeth she could charm her into naming her heir, all the while pissing her off by marrying one of Elizabeth's courtiers (AND their cousin who had a claim to the English throne himself) without her consent, and calling herself the rightful queen of England. She had no hope of a successful rule of either country. Elizabeth on the other hand was a truly remarkable woman and a wonderful queen, which does not appear to register in this film, which is infuriating given the legacy she left. It's time everyone knew what a carcrash Mary's life and reign was by comparison.
I mean to be fair Mary had to deal with the consequences the reformation had had on her country all the while having to deal with an abusive husband who would humiliate her whenever he could. She tried to reach out to her cousin but ended up being locked up by her for years without any permission to see her (although Elizabeth had her reasons) during which her only son was being raised to hate her by the same protestants who had tried for so long to dispose her.
@@oliveranderson7264 Trying to understand 'English' history is frustrating as an American. Just when I finally grasp something the subtle nuances change everything. Were the two crowns accepted as completely independent? I don't get the Irish and Scottish kingdoms in relation
@@aroseforepona6670 yes i noticed this also they are trying to cast the Catholic (this is important given what the Pope is up to these days) in a glorious light and the Protestant Elizabeth as a hag or somthing.. very interesting, as all these Movies are designed to shape what we make of history and pull the wool over our eyes.

Ya..that one's the best.
I don’t like how they portray Elizabeth in this, she did what she had to do to become a successful monarch. Mary was constantly a threat (she really wasn’t helping herself) and left Elizabeth no choice but to imprison her. They make her seem so evil when she was probably one of the best monarchs England’s had! Obvs Mary has a hard life but she did it to herself.
I think the trailer is tricky... I got a feeling... I still did sympathize with Elizabeth and found that Mary talks too much... let's see but u are right abt Elizabeth being a great monarch and I'm sure the trailer only wants to confuse
Elizabeth didn't even commend the sailors who beat the Spanish armada and saved England. That's the type of woman she was.

You do know it’s not fully accurate....
Mary and Elizabeth meeting....
Mary having a Scottish accent despite living her whole childhood in France....
I wondered about that having seen the HBO miniseries about Elizabeth some several years ago. Mary was portrayed with a French accent.
Since this comes from the same company that produced "Darkest Hour" I will take this film with a grain of salt- but see it nonetheless.
drakeisphat ‘ you do know that no one has ever been fully accurate about Mary’s accent? she went to France at age 5 and left at 18. in that time she was taught multiple languages, including French, but her native tongue was Scottish. she couldn’t speak English at all, so that probably did sound French. Idk but it’s a FILM and everybody’s got it wrong. do you think you could make one more accurate? probably not.

They lost me with that face off scene in the tower. The two famously never met, especially after Mary's imprisonment and that fact usually kicks off every book about Mary Queen of Scots or chapters in Elizabeth's biographies about her relationship with Mary.
The actress playing Mary is Saoirse Ronan. She's Irish, alas has an Irish accent. Speaks English, learned French for the film and had to speak in a Scottish accent.
Adelaide Kane only True Marry Queen of Scots :)

More like Mary Queen of FLOPS, that's why it was canceled. Anyone here thought of reign???? I forgot that show! From the title I thought the comment section is gonna be all about that
its funny that they never once met in person, only through letters they spoke to each other, and queen elizabeth felt terrible after the execution of mary, she didnt want it to happen.
This film shows how incredible an actress Margot Robie is. She should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
U forgot Saoirse Ronan (Queen Mary of scots)
the clothes, the makeup, the hair . Everything looks so beautiful
This looks like it could have been so good, but it is not historically accurate at all!
Why not make the movie into a 15th century african ghetto movie. Because thats where the PC movement seems to be heading. Just more PC embarrassing garbage.
Hermann Steinrucks What was 'PC' about this movie exactly?
It literally takes nothing from the story to have black actors playing some roles. You must be one of those "I don't see color' people.
I guess black people playing european figures
MrM Rus What is PC about black people playing Europeans? You are aware that black people were living in Europe in the 16th century, right?
Spoiler: England wins
Not in football eyyy?
But it was Mary's heirs that took the thrones in the end
It came home
Tell that to Elizabeth's successor, y'know Mary's son. They sure did stop them Scots didn't they!
Welp you don’t know history then.
She was imprisoned in my hometown of Sheffield for fourteen years. in manor castle. she worked in the laundry for the castle, they claim she used to fish in the pond, now known as pond street, were the bus station now stands.
Inglorious Bastards looked more historically accurate.
iBourne xx 1994
Starwars looks more historically accurate than this.
At least I can admit that there were more blacks in France in that time period vs the one Elisabeth and Mary lived in.
Yall. We get it. You went to high school. It's not accurate. No one is watching this for educational purposes. Nobody's gonna pay to watch a movie about passive aggressively writing letters. It's a movie, it's gonna take some liberties because the Tudors aren't very interesting to most people. Chill.
I'm watching it for historical value. I always hope that there will be some.
Actually, the true history is very interesting. I wish films like this didn’t distort the truth. You could make a perfectly entertaining accurate film about this.
You're really laughably naive.
if you want something historically accurate, why don't you watch a documentary
While the actual history may be 'interesting' its not enough for a modern film. Mary was in prison for most of her life which would be very boring since the power she seems to have in this movie likely never existed. It seems that she was just in prison at the end of her life...which is obviouslynot the case. They should have made a movie about Mary Queen of Scots not the rivalry between her and Elizabeth. I mean, showing her days in France could be interesting but you would need two actresses since the ages are so far apart. It just isnt film material...
Elizabeth I made a point of never meeting Mary, Queen of Socts because she didn't want to form any emotional attachments. She knew how things might end up (unfortunately) and couldn't be clouded by feelings for Mary. That said, In Mary, Queen of Scots (1971), Elizabeth I (played by Glenda Jackson) greet Mary (played by Vanessa Redgrave) at the border between England and Scotland. The meeting is very amiable. Then Elizabeth has are arrested! I hope this version is as good as the one made back in 1971.
This makes Reign look like a documentary...
I love elizabeth ... she was brave , did so well for england ... that's why she ruled long
I hear David Tennant but I did not see David Tennant.
Also called utter disappointment...
Yah the only actor really shown and heard is Guy Pearce and only briefly. Its probably going to be primary about Elizabeth and Mary.
No he will be playing John Knox. I really can’t believe it, he’s playing a Scottish character for once 🤣
drakeisphat ‘ hey you are forgetting that he plays Scrooge McDuck! A very Scottish duck lol.
Serenity113 and Campbell Bain, Doug, Peter Carlisle... the Scottish list is rather long. (Compared to the estuary list it’s short but... there are Scottish roles.)
Um. And? This movie isn't about him?
OK But Mary and Elizabeth NEVER met!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you watch BBC Blood of Queens, they did a scene where the queens read each other's letters while they looked to each other's faces with passion even though they never really met. It's kind of Poetic. I'm sure this movie is doing the same.
Oh yeah I remember watching this. Makes sense to do it that way but it might lead people to completely changing history.
They never met but they were friends and wrote to each. I like the idea of them meeting but at the same time it's really inaccurate.
Exactly but people are more outraged about seeing a black man and Asian women in the film.
My God what an atrocious, inaccurate mess of a film.
Also why the hell did they make Elizabeth the bad guy in this ?? Elizabeth was always the good guy in this and Mary was bad
@@youtubeaccount872 Don't know about that. She was a tyrant in Ireland.
@@youtubeaccount872 Well that aspect depends on who you ask and what side of history the perspective is told. Neither were good OR bad. That simply were strong women who fought for their beliefs against all odds. The movie is called Mary Queen of Scots and so is told (with artistic liberty) from that perspective. It's innacurate but not entirely.
No one is truly good or evil. We're all shades of grey
No Elizabeth was painted as an amazing person and the best queen in history when in reality she did some questionable things. Mary had a life, she really and truly LIVED. We know barely anything about Elizabeth’s life. I personally like Mary more
That inferior part really sent chills down my spine with how heartbroken Elizabeth sounded as if she truly couldn’t believe what Mary had said, Margot Robbie is such a great actress and could really pull off any role.
Who did she pull off?
The show reign was more accurate then this
That's not saying much because season 4 was pretty accurate
the only one tho, still loved it
Reign isnt accurate at all stupid woman
eh no one really had an accent to be fair and I don't know about you but I started watching it because of the clothes xDD
Would you please learn when to use ‘then’ and ‘THAN’!!! Geez!!!
So many inaccuracies which is truly sad as there is not as much information on Mary out there. I can't with this one.
“Your inferior” was acted amazingly
After watching Reign I’ve been so hooked on this time period. I want to watch
And of course the token homeosexual he'd have been executed in those times if he was open about it that time
Costumes are spectacular and the story timeless. So happy my daughter had this on her 'must see list' of 2018 films. 5stars.
Game Of Thrones without the awesome dragon lady
Elizabeth looks like the movie "Pennywise"!!!!! Sister😂😂😂
I don't even know where to begin with this one but I can already see a very long episode of 'Everything Wrong With' being the longest ever!
The thing is, i dont care how historically accurate this movie is. I like the idea of these two queens coming face to face, it'll be fun to see how it plays out. Plus the acting looks amazing!!
And your the kind of person that stops true historical movies, where you might even learn something. But sadly that is lost upon you
99.9% of comments about Elizabeth looking like the queen of hearts and 0.1% about the actual movie
You're wrong, actually. Count again.
That thing about Mary being superior to Elizabeth makes me go “Girl, you trying to get yourself killed?!”
Margot Robbie as the Queen Elizabeth seems like a wrong decision in my opinion. It just seems odd.
Why is that?
try watching the film
+Mai Nem
I meant to know your thoughts....I don't know much about her.
I thought so when I heard this movie coming out, but seeing the trailer? She's got range, guys. She shouldn't be pigeonholed for the rest of her career.
It just seems click bait ..
The inaccuracies of history...
it's Hollywood and the Jews run it baby. you ought to know better than to trust them with your history.
You have two real powerfull women and you end up making something misleading and inaccurate?! This is only
pampering really insulting
You have two women who have been made "powerful" by the writers, the inaccuracies lay within the modern feminist agenda present in the trailer and the forced diversity among the cast. Ladies at this time had a very different mentality to the whiny 1st world, self dubbed "feminists".
Hans Grab my Luger Those are exactly my thoughts except that these two women were the most powerful that they could be at that moment. My point is that they lived according to the mentality of their time, to insert aspects of modern feminism has no meaning and even misleads the content of the story of two admirable characters
If you want the best kind of Mary Stuart, watch REIGN❤❤❤
YESS reign was SO good 😩❤️
Saoirse is such an impeccable actress - she can do accents like no other actress of her generation.
Saorise is the best thing about this movie. Her name has been involved with this project for years now so I’m happy it became a reality. It looks good and reminds me of The other Boleyn girl, which is a favorite of mine. Historically accurate or not, just enjoy, or don’t watch it. I agree the “diverse casting” is not necessary ALL THE TIME, it’s just unrealistic
A black courtier in Elizabeth's court? Did they find historical evidence of one black person then? I'm surprised they aren't all tapping away on smartphones and sporting rainbow flags too. I'm Scottish, I grew up near the place where the Battle of Langside occurred and I think I'll give this one a miss lol.
THANK U THAT'S WHAT I WAS THINKING. flip the situation where its an Asian or black country and ppl would be so pissed if there was a white guy in the court with status. Like Da fuq
This practice has been happening since movies were invented. Starting off with white people being casted for movies set in ancient egypt/middle east for example. The latest one I can remember being gods of egypt. No one bat an eyelid for that. There is so much historical innacurracies commited in this movie that the colour and race of a particular actor is the least of its worries. Surprised how you overlooked them and went straight to the race issue.
@@tsubameakiyama231 actually there was a movie about egypt and it did not have black people only white people despite ancient egyptians being black
@@Yunghamz yeah
H D
The worst offender I saw recently was Christian Bale as Moses in Exodus. Everyone looks miscast in that movie. The entire Pharaoh household is white people.
Just within the first 10 seconds I was sold. Love the actors and the feel of the movie. The music, the water. How lovely!
Am I the only one surprised Johnny Depp or Helena Bonham Carter isn't in this?
Caffeinated Nation carter would have been a far better Lizzy.
The age would be wrong, and HBC is great, for this role? No way. Johnny Depp? As what, the court jester?
I'm surprised that you're surprised
The Red Queen looks really menacing in this version of Alice in Wonderland.
Damn, this Alice in wonderland's prequel looks good.
I know that they added some stories for dramatic purposes (I read somewhere). Idk w/ scenes, but I learned that they never met. Which for me, doesn't matter at all. The acting was superb. I did not only shed a tear but I sobbed. The story was heartbreaking and tragic. How can someone not lose herself facing such despair? Truly Amazing movie. One of my favorites ever.
Queen marry did not have a Scottish accent she was raised in France, she preferred French over English
What’s up with all the non whites in a historical action film taken place in the 16th century too? Europe was never multicultural until we started letting them in which was a mistake
@@fendelor8901 Another thing.. was if it an issue for different ethnities to be protrayed in historical European royalty. And white people never bat an eye at an all white cast for a historical middle eastern or asian, or north african movie?
Leslie B I don’t think that’s right either white people should not portray other races in historical films or if a character is intended to be a certain race they should cast a actor of that ethnicity.
The royal court ALL spoke French, not English.
@@leslieb5888 do white-people "not bat an eye" though? I mean, you just made that up! Did you really think nobody would notice?
The last scene showing James I of England was truly iconic!!! I really enjoyed watching this movie despite of the bad ratings
Mary Queen of Thots starring Cardi B
Tone Riggz damn...savage
Cardi as Mary
Nicki as Elizabeth
ahahahahahaha
That sounds like a great comedy film
OKKKKRRRRR! ppprt
I hear a lot about inaccuracies abound in this production. I'm watching the Elizabeth I miniseries with Helen Mirren which is pretty good. And Mary Stuart has a proper French accent there.
