This was on the radio (in 1970) around the same time as the Carpenters' big hit "Close to You" and the two singles made for an amazing double dose of soft rock ear candy. I grew up listening to the soft rock music of Bread in the 70's & had their albums. Love David Gates voice. He has one of the most soothing & mellow voices. They had so many hits such as "Baby I'm-a Want You", "Everything I Own", "Lost Without Your Love", "It Don't Matter To Me", "The Guitar Man", "Sweet Surrender" & "Aubrey". In 1978, Gates enjoyed success as a solo artist with the hit singles "Goodbye Girl" (from the movie The Goodbye Girl) & "Took The Last Train".
Gates is the only one left.

That brought tears to my eyes guys! Life throws obstacles in our way, and sometimes when we don't understand, all you can do is pray that it doesn't get worse. Now they are showing ads on TV telling people to get checked for CKD, but since my doctor didn't bother to tell me at Stage 1 or 2, I was and still am upset. CKD is usually caused by diabetes. Since he checks me every 3 months, seems like he could have told me. A big "thank you" to all of you!! Harri and all of you are the best ever. I'm the only one left of my birth family, which is a lonely feeling. Lost my little bro to cancer Uncle Phil, when he was 24 and I was 25. Happy that you're doing well, will keep you in my prayers. Again Harri thanks forever ! Happy Tears !❤🙏

So sorry for your loss, and your health problems. I had kidney stones and a UTI several years back, and as a result I've learned quite a lot lately about natural health. Look for a good naturopath. Don't trust conventional treatments, or at least combine with natural treatments if possible. About three years ago I went on a low carb diet, just chicken stock soup and a few veggies for three weeks, losing 35 lbs. Since then, I've lived on a vegan diet with occasional chicken, no sugar or white flour, only some whole grains, instead. Erythritol and monk fruit make for healthy sweetener alternatives. I healed from my illnesses and have no more ailments, with my weight still down. Good luck! Good nutrition will heal just about anything.

That was so sweet of you to do that Harri ! UPDATE: Kidneys are about the same (which is good). Diabetes is a wicked disease. I inherited all of my health probs from my dad, who's in Heaven now, along with the rest of the family. Despite 2 open-heart surgeries, my doc told me in June that my lab work showed some markers for Congestive Heart Failure. Not happy, but God will see me through. Just added another pill to my arsenal. Harri, your caring heart and your wonderful music keeps me happy, no matter what!! Can't thank you enough ~ Gin 💖🙏 (9/11/22)

Thanks so much for telling me! My 32-year-old nephew had a heart attack on Christmas Eve, 2020. He was in good health, went to the gym, totally shocked. We kept him on life support until Dec. 28th since he was a donor and he saved 3 people. Both kidneys and his heart. I'm also a donor. Thanks for the positivity, it's greatly appreciated !🙏

According to "Patch" Adams, laughter is the best medicine. May you experience peals of laughter and boisterous guffaws as you progress through your healing treatment.
The future is unknowable and with every diagnosis comes the percentages. Ignore them as all they mean is that others were successfully treated in your condition.
My wife is a four times survivor. She has had lifelong diabetes and asthma and yet managed to beat uterine, skin, and breast (twice). She has also had three heart attacks in the last ten years, all of which were in the artery behind the heart known as "The Widow Maker". Her Cardiologist says that she has regained 100% function and her heart and blood flow is as strong as before the first attack. I know just how lucky I am to still have her by my side and I am thankful everyday. Covid put a crimp in our travel plans. Now that it's waning we are looking forward to crossing off more items on our bucket lists. Keep an eye out for an elderly white haired couple wandering around laughing and pointing out outlandish things. We may be lost, but we are holding hands and making good time.

I love to laugh !! I was diagnosed with diabetes at least 10 years ago. Inherited adult onset, high blood pressure, high cholesterol from my dad. Had open heart surgery (triple bypass) first in 2007, and was fine. Then, second open heart Nov. 5, 2021. I had just gotten through my cardiac rehab, and feeling better and then "Pow! Right in the kisser! (as Jackie Gleason would have said)..LOL! Life is made of challenges and victories. No retinopathy in my eyes, no neuropathy anywhere. My prayers to you and also to your wife. @@User_ginny_aikensc_92753 if your young enough to remember Ralph Kramden then perhaps you remember Allen Funt's Candid Camera when it was in black and white. Those old gags really give me a lift. My best half told me of one (in color) where Texas was Full. I finally found it on line and it's hilarious. The only one that I've seen that she had not was (B/W) a tiny octogenarian lady with a large suitcase hails a cab. The driver grabs her bag to put it in the cab, but he cannot even lift it. Eventually she says never mind, picks up the case, and walks off. Seems the bag contained a powerful electromagnet with a hidden switch. I'm still looking for this one. It's been over 50 years but I still laugh whenever it pops into my mind. Thanks for helping me remember some good things from a simpler time.

From what I understood loud and clear from the doctor is to drink no less than 64 ounces a day of clear cola's, water, or milk until my eyeballs are floatin..LOL ! Will keep you in my prayers as well🙏👍
