When i was very young, my older sister had this game and I would play on her completed file. I loved the music in this level so much that i would just come here to run around and listen to it. Feels like yesterday. Now im 25 working full time with responsibilities, but listening to this now mentally transports me back to those simpler times.
Grant Kirkhope is a musical genius and will forever be one of my favorite video game soundtrack composers, dude made some of the most memorable songs of my childhood both he and Koji Kondo have instilled a love of music in me that continues to this day
@@matthewbuckley7757 Donkey Kong Country wouldn't of been nearly as memorable for me without David Wise, what he was able to do with the S-SMP audio chip to get songs like Aquatic Ambiance still blows my mind
It's not a gay bar. It's a trans bar and apparently trans women now qualify as women so if you wont have sex with the trans woman, it means you're gay. Welcome to 2022 my friend
@King K. Rool technically he's a reference to the beta of Banjo Kazooie. He was supposed to be the villian when the came was still under the working title "Project Dream". If you talk to him enough he'll say how used to have a "dream" and it was stolen by a "bear and bird"
Play all the songs at 1.25 x or 1.5 x It makes everything so much jolly. I definitely think just making some the songs faster makes the game more lively and alive instead of gloomy
did anyone ever hear this on a vid about someone's wow TCG item collection, it was in 2008/2009 or so, it had a female night elf in stormwind and she had an x-51 nether rocket
I was playing fire emblem vision quest rom hack and on mission 4 you visit a port and this started playing. I immediately knew it was this song. Legends will always remember good ost.
One of my favorite tracks from the game. Listening to it now, it actually sounds rather melancholic--like greeting an old friend from your childhood
damn that hit like a train remembering those I lost since my sweet childhood... thanks for taking me to Nostalgia Town 🥲
Is it melancholic or just reminiscent and emotional?
@@Jake-cc7ie I guess I'd say some of both, actually
melancholic is not the adjective i would use to describe that
me and all my homies roll through the hood bumping this shit

1:31 has some beautiful use of imitation in the countermelody :)
It’s my favorite part :)
Nostalgia is a super bittersweet feeling and this song manages to capture that vibe so well.

0:00 oh what a funny little song!! 1:21 *rethinks life and sees the error of my ways*

It sounds like a little town on the Maine coast. "Here, have some fried haddock and fried clams and a massive mug of beer!" Lol
I am replaying Banjo Tooie and I love remembering my childhood as I go through all the levels :)
This song. This song is TOO good
There are a lot of amazing soundtracks. But no other video game soundtrack has this level of character. Both of the Banjo games were masterfully done.
01:21 my favorite part
_It's amazing_
I love how sassie kazooie is. She always has something smart to say😂
Yarrr! Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day, scallywags!
I love how its got that Jolly and Lagoon feeling such a good theme
This song exudes pure “Me-and-the-boys” energy.
Shiver me timbers !
This what being bored at school sound like
These rips are amazing!
This song is fire 🔥🔥

That moment when you realize the “lagoon” in Jolly Roger’s Lagoon is home to a blue hole with a complex cave network.

@@erikolexy1168 Not the vilain. He was supposed to be the hero instead of Banjo and Kazooie. That's why he says they stole his dream.
Wait...
Jolly Roger Bay
Jolly Roger Lagoon
Huh?
Maybe it's a coincidence, Banjo-Tooie don't intend to be similar to Super Mario 64, like Banjo-Kazooie did
Both are aquatic levels...
"Jolly Roger" it's the name of the traditional pirate flag

Just so you know, if you breathe in water with extra oxygen in it, you'll still suffocate.
The first seconds sounds almost like Treasure Trove Cove variation from Grunty's Lair
1:22 sounds like something from kingdom hearts
