He reviews tech. People have followed and subscribed to him because they have come to see the trustworthiness of many of his reviews. It is not his job to cuddle tech that he doesn't get a good experience out of. Enjoy your many dislikes.
Fisker did it to themselves the minute they decided to knowingly sell an unrefined product with many bugs; promising consumers it would all be fixed with over the air updates. MKDHD stating his opinion based on his experience with the product did make them look worse in the public eye, but so did every other car journalist and reviewer who were already bashing the vehicle for being bad. At the end of the day, I’d rather MKBHD be honest with his opinion than try to market an objectively poorly performing product as a good one for consumers to buy.
Extremely biased video. MKBHD did not kill Fisker. As a Fisker fan and investor, Fisker lied, put out a terrible product, and then tried to cover it up in the worst possible way. They handled it terribly. Henrik's management of the company was also terribly poor, using nepotism to put people in charge who didn't know what they were doing, and also not chasing up their own debtors and creditors because they simply didn't allocate enough resources to do so. While MKBHD pulled the cover off, the company sealed its fate the day it was founded. Poor video with a clear bias. Do better.
I don't think it was sabotage. It was an exposè. Fisker wasn't even close to being release ready and they released because they were in a desperate financial position. EVs, Teslas included, are shoddy sloppy cars with a "you accepted delivery, now it's your problem" attitude. Non-servicable parts, limited parts availability, slow and insanely priced service centers, unexplainable low mileage failures of drivetrain components, the same software bugs year after year, etc., etc. Forcing these companies to raise their standards is going to require some thinning of the herd and consequences for failure.
Was MKHB the sole reason why Fisker failed? EVERYTHING Fisker has done has failed. They didn't need help failing.
