So far the only teams in NA who have ever showed up were CLG, C9 and TL. TL and CLG got the furthest, but C9 performed the most consistent of them all.

CLG and TL both made it that far and then got 3-0'd by SKT and G2 respectively. That is the only record of those two NA teams showing up internationally. C9 is pretty consistent in getting out of groups and you can usually rely on them to make the quarterfinals at least.

To be honest, as a G2/EU fan, C9 is actually doing much better in the tournament than Mad Lions. Mad Lions is constantly getting out-macroed by RNG and DK, while inting in the process. They don't seem capable of winning a series against them. Furthermore, except from 2 blow out wins against C9 and PSG, they are either losing, or just winning against wild card teams. On the other hand, C9 practically challenged both RNG and DK in all their games, winning two in the process, out of the 6 they played against them. For me, MAD is a disappointment so far, and it seems like the gap between the two top NA teams, C9 and TL and the EU teams is much closer than it used to be. Obviously, their best talents are exports, but still. G2 was pathetic in LEC, Fanatic is finished, and Rogue/Mad Lions are seemingly just decent teams in the global scene, and nothing more. If G2 won't step up, then Europe doesn't seem capable of competing, and it has fallen down to NA's bar.
