Cool video thanks for posting. As much fun as you seem to have welding bike frames I want to share an idea I got from an old Popular Mechanics mag about a combinations of nine bikes welded together to make a bicycle built for nine. All nine seat locations have pedals and chains to the two wheels. They lean the thing against a tree of post to all climb on and ride in parades. Can you imagine the looks you and your friends would get in a parade? stopping is reverse and must be done against a building or tree or post so everyone can get off without tipping over :) Miles Cobbett, Fairbanks Alaska - bike collector I probably have about 75 odd bikes at this point in my life at 64. :) In my youth I trained and raced in Santa Cruz Ca
We can tell your a inventor/fabricator and that's cool..keep em coming I am in process of building a trike as well but stuck on the FRONT axle setup..people tell me I must make that axle bigger so I am working on it :\
Cool beans ! I like how you used bike parts. Simple to see where to weld and such . I have about 15 bikes I salvaged from dumpster diving. All sizes and shapes. Some, 15 speed some not, some kiddie bikes, some Mt. bikes too. I want to make a recumbent like yours. I have a steel cutting band saw, an angle grinder, a belt sander, a drill press, and a Harb. Frt. Welder. Do you think I can make one ?
I would recomend That you use an Ebay Bicycle engine the Cheap two stroke and bolt a trike rear end on to it, Use a modern 24 volt 110 amp alternater turned by the engine, and rear mounted 24 volt motor hub with cogs removed and a sprocket bolted to it. Mini hybid.
for the brakes you need alu rims for sure, in rain or puddles of water they will not work when they are chromed. sorry for my language writings i am from the Netherlands my english is bad
dude you can grind the weld spots and buy a $3 can of spray paint and Sell these on Craigslist am sure if I were in your town I would buy it. Good job. make it look nicer with spray paint.
God almighty - you don't have Parkinson's do you? It would be great to be able to see your project without getting sick...I know this video is over 7 years old now, but something had to be said! I hope it turned out OK for you.
Wow, do you need some tips on video! Almost impossible to follow with all the dizzy zipping around with the camera, also not backing off and showing full views.
Dude, why do you have to be a downer about it? You don't have to use the exact same tools if you're willing to be inventive. An angle grinder with an assortment of cheap discs and a welder are the bare minimum. Cheap stick welder roughly A$100, grinder A$50, assorted discs for 50 cents upwards. Plus some spanners and screw drivers. If you've got more advanced tools that's great, but you don't HAVE to spend thousands. Take a look at some of the Atomic Zombie tutorials if you want to see what can be done with very few power tools
Not even one minute... I have to stop...the jitters...shake... Use a camera like a sprayer, make sure everything stays wet. Don't let the viewer focus on anything...keep spraying... Fascinating subject just not able to watch.
echodelta9, I couldn't agree more. kartopla1982, here's a tip: Find out your camera's closest focus distance, and don't violate it. If you want the autofocus to show a closeup of your hacksaw blade, hold it against a white or otherwise featureless background. (Nice work on the trike, though.)
If those welds are as good as your video presentation, the trike won't make it out of the driveway. Organize! Write an outline, write a script, learn how to insert captions, choose the best camera angles, select the background, and rehearse. Then edit the final composition. (That means, among other things, delete the junk). Have pride in what you do.
I love the crude build style that works well. Good job
I like your clever use of whats available. Good work.

graet job building my trike in the moment.
@davidpecina
1HP=746 watts. That motor is 300 watts. Therefore, the motor is about 0.4 HP, or almost one-half horsepower.
really great job mate
You guys are so amazing. Sir, please can you mentor me how to convert my motorbike CG 125 engine into tricycle for passengers. Thanks in advance. 🙏
fantastic

I LOVE THIS VIDEO. MAINLY BECAUSE I LOVE TO BUILD STUFF LIKE THIS. THANKS. I AM NOW A SUBSCRIBER. :D
Doesnt the chain rub everywhere? It looks like it would, which leads me to think the chains will snag onto something. Nice idea tho!
i love it mit nice person with nice job i love it man
no wonder our bikes disappear suddenly, i think they are leaving us, for this amazing craftsman,
to become a ''tadpole bike''
6:59 what's that bike seat tube??
If you're still around, how did it travel with the one gear?
can we get an update ? did you ever change out the 3/8 axles to 14's ? what about the motor addition ? very interested in this. thanks...
I planed the same type of front axle, how did yours hold up to weight?
dont you have an grinder ? thumbs up if youre cutted all pipes only with hacksaw ?
Harbor Freight Angle grinder- Cheap with coupon too ! Cuts bike tubes like butter !

HEY GUIZE!!! all i used was a hack saw and 20$ and some bikez!!! just ignore the $1000+ welder that doesn't count!
THUMBS UP if you think this guy gets a lot of bikes for "free" :)

Was it abandoned. Did it have state registration? I had a bike stolen before and got it back because I had it registered.

You don't really know what you're talking about. It's painful to watch, and the end result isn't overly impressive.
My gawd what awful video work! Did you look at it before posting???
