Jonathan Cain was the Baby's keyboard player. He eventually left the group and immediately joined the band called "Journey". He is an exceptional songwriter. He quickly recorded the"Escape" album and wrote "Don't Stop Believing"..."Open Arms"...and "Who's Crying Now". Jonathan's addition to the band enabled Journey to become even more successful than they were prior to his entrance...
Johnathan Cain, didn't join until Union Jack's. But yes, he is very talented. I don't know what happened, but John said he would, never perform on stage with Cain.
What a great voice the lead singer, John has. The back up singers make it perfect too. I hear this group is singing again .. since 2014?, probably a few different members ..
I remember back i 1977. I was at a mall, and as I walked into the entrance to Sears. There was A tv and it was playing The Babys " Isn't It Time. And that was the first video, that I saw.
@@goodvibrations100 But, it's not her voice we're hearing. Don't be stupid. It's clearly the recorded version they're lip syncing to. Annie Bertucci had a great voice, but this isn't actually hers we hear.
This song seems to be written with lovemaking in mind. There are three pinnacles. At the top of the first two, the lady is singing. And in the final one, John Waite sings. Think about it.
I really like and I appreciate the share. However I don't really see the value in dubbing the studio version audio over the live original video. Maybe the sound quality. I do not know. Overall I just don't believe it works
Brian S I don't see Cain unless he's on bass ,which is possible, I'll just have to take your word for ? Cain is the notable one ! This band is right where they should be in the rear on the road to obscurity 💯 with one huge footnote Jonathan Cain ! He's the reason to explore this band 💯 and that reason will, over time only grow ! He was the main architect of the new Journey 80s sound, the power ballad which was a whole new genre of rock and roll and it's still being used today in several different genres. Cain came to Journey making them Superstars with his writing ,he wrote Open Arms and Faithfully by himself , it set the tone.
It’s not a lip sync but the recorded track placed over the live version on the video later. The band is performing live and aren’t trying to match a track. This happens a lot and almost never works. Even if a sync miraculously happens it takes away from the live energy and sound of the original live performance captured on video.
The babys were fantastic there isnt music like this anymore with meaning and you can feel it to your soul❤❤
That female backup singer is gold. What femininity.
God I love this Back Up Singer !!!
The Babys were so under the radar. Love this band.
Still love this song since I first heard it. I agree the Babys deserved to have had way more success than they had. So good. 🎤🎶
What a great voice John Waite is and what a fantastic band The Babys were!
Amazing song! Still love it to this day!!!
The way he changes his voice from soft to strong I can feel that emotion it’s very beautiful.
Timeless. What a singer. What a band.
What a sweet face Tom had.
JOHN has a melodic and distinctive voice that has spanned decades.
Annie is so beautiful and a voice to match.!...
As if it were from God, I have rarely seen such beautiful scenes and heard such beautiful songs! The babys underrated!

@@JamesPeterson-i4o Thanks, man
Pamela Ruth Lee. Love the baby's. Thanks! For the memories.❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Michael Corby was original guitarist and keyboardist. Wish he still was.
I think you will find that things changed for journey when Steve Perry joined.
John is simply phenomenal and still making amazing music 😊💛
what a great performance of one of the most underrated groups . I enjoy it so much everytime I hear this fantastic song.
That outro where they change up the rhythm cadence always blows me away. Love this song!

Great performance. 3:15 "It always turns out goooooooood." Love it.
One of my all-time fave bands!!
Every time I hear them it always turns out good.
Excellent voice of John Waite and the second singer the lady
I never get tired of listening to this group. The compositions of their songs were incredibly well written and I wonder who did it?

That dude looks a lot like Scott Wieland.
I loved the babys...when he was solo and with Bad English...also with Johnathan Caine

Love this song and Anna Bertucci the back up singer really makes this song awesome. rock was at its finest inm this era. moses sez
The Backup Singer wasn't Annie Bertucci. However it was Myrna Matthews
@@revertinotse8582 Myrna Matthews may have done the vocals on this track, but the lady in this video is Anna Bertucci

Una obra de arte
John Waite was a badass!
Every Single Time
Forever Yours ❤️🚛❤️
I wanted to hear the original sound of this video.
'Cause I love this song!
Great song
very nice!!!!
*_Annie Bertucci sings like hell!_* 👏👏👏👏👏👏
This song seems to be written with lovemaking in mind.

Think about it.
what a great song great
Annie Bertucci. is the backup singer on here she has an amazing voice :)
.
Looks even better now...
jewelsluv67 and beautiful 😍
This was Myrna Matthews .Not Annie Bertucci
But can't play tambourine to save her life!
She's great!
Still great!
Great ole tune.
I think I saw this when it aired!
oddgrits Same here..!!! Had some good musical guests on this show ..The Raes
Back in the days when CBC Canada was relevant to its people.
love this song & the performance. Liked yr hair blond though
"hands off for such an installation"
Great
ANNE BERTUCCI rocks.
LO MAXIMO DE LO MAXIMO
Never realized The Babys sang this
❤❤
So Rare! Canada eh!
fxstocker Yeah,eh!! CBC TV musical variety show "The Rae's" (78-80)_Pat Benatar also appears on the episode too ..remember watching this then ..
every time I think of you....
Just repackaged huh ? With more guitars and no dubbing in horns LoL
I always wanted to play the tamborine...
I really like and I appreciate the share. However I don't really see the value in dubbing the studio version audio over the live original video. Maybe the sound quality. I do not know. Overall I just don't believe it works
Crank it up as loud as it'll go, turn somebody into a big slobbering baby...lol

he is on the piano
I’m not sure this was performed live here. Sounded exactly like the album.
Back then it was prerecorded and the band merely acted on stage.
enjoyed.... though totally Lip Synced to the record.
interesting to watch anna how her moves on stage seem to improve as time went on...then suddenly..poof shes gone!!! any idea what happened there?
Who is the back up singer ?? She's awesome !!
+ellie chen Found out who she is and checked her out on here ...:)
elttaes
"Annie Bertucci."
This is the record version, lip synched. Annie is great but this is NOT her voice.
Scott Evans That’s correct. I believe this is Myrna Matthews
Hey, I used to have a bolo tie, too
Trumpets da da da
I always wanted to know the girl singing, is it the same girl always in the early days? Her name??
Sounds overdubbed with the studio version
Does anyone know who the female backup singer is? I’ve looked everywhere
Anne Bertucci. But the voice you hear is not her own. We're hearing the studio version, where the Babys hired a gospel trio for the back up vocals.
Now THAT’S a bad lip sync
Oh so bad
It’s not a lip sync but the recorded track placed over the live version on the video later. The band is performing live and aren’t trying to match a track. This happens a lot and almost never works. All lip sync kinda sucks.
