Oh wow, just stumbled over this, big thank you. This took me way, way back, almost in tears. Lived basically next to the old ground for over 50 years, Newham born back in 1964. Clive Best was my hero, I am a proud patriotic black English man. Proud of the Hammers for have some of the first black players in the top flight back then. Irons, Irons till I die. Bless you and thank again.
Irish Snowman, Many thanks for this excellent video featuring the best of West Ham over the years. Great goals-for and some against-and great highlights featured but always fine attractive football from the Hammers!
For those who don't understand what the 'West Ham way' means, the first 30 minutes of this splendid film should help. How lucky we were to see and enjoy such woderful entertainment...
Brain injuries happening now to those old players because of the weight of the balls, careers ruined by leg breaking tackles, racism and violence on the unsafe terraces, pitches of mud stopping any skillful play. Nah, it was crap really in comparison to today’s game. I would never want to go back to those days.

A bit confused they're showing us against Chelsea in 1966.
We all know that Chelsea were established in 2003
So glad they showed the world cup final
Shame the 2 Geoff Hurst goals were omitted in Man City 1970 match, the second goal was an absolute belter...
Quality.

Beautiful ⚒
Thank you.
8:20 motson....the upton park crowd feasted on football with flair.
Shows own goal.
The Flareist Own goal ever.
Interesting looking at the line up 3future England players and unknown to them World Cup winners in 1966 Peters ,Moore,Hurst
Shame there is no video of Mervyn Day’s brilliant penalty save in the 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
Early days - no tats, no dives, no logos, no rolling on the ground in agony, no over the top celebrating - just football

Who gives af about tattoos. Get a life, bro
Racist abuse of black players....not really football was it?
Irons!
Losing 1-0 to Chelsea really screwed us in 1986.
Glad VAR wasn’t around in 1966 think it might have been different.
I'm an Irons fan who watched the quarter final against Arsenal in 1975- but how can than Merv's foul @ 1:06:15 not be a penalty?
