This is a dying art. I've worn boots my whole life (Texas, go figure) and I had many pairs of boots which I alway had resoled when they needed it. Now more and more boots are coming off the shelf with plastic, rubber or neoprene soles and while horrible for dancing, I guess they last longer. I don't wear boots near as often and don't have anywhere near as many pairs as I used to but It was always kind of exciting getting them back and seeing them look all new again. This is entertaining and nostalgic for me.
Very, very nice! As I have written on other projects. You, Sir, are a Master Craftsman! I really enjoy these videos where I can hear you cutting, using the hammer and the tools in the background. Thanks for the video.
Excellent work Steve. How many soles bit the dust by accident? Your freehand cuts are amazing. Also, which brands of shoes do you consider the best quality and craftsmanship? I hope you answer this I am very interested in the experts thoughts.Thanks.
Another great job!! It's amazing how you can restore anything. You did a masterful job on the toe of that damaged one. What size were those boots? What does he use them for, stamping out forest fires?
I have a question, I purchased a cheap $ 29.99 Pair of boots, and they have lasted me for three years, however, the poor sole is glued on, is it possible to remake the bottom, in the fashion you would an Alden boot?
Love the work you do......hard to stop watching. An artist at work.
Toby Lemieux thank you
I can’t stop watching either. I have a rare pair of Italian boots made by Sketchers, believe it or not. It’s time for them to be re-soled.
I guess "when your good, YOU ARE GOOD"...!!!!!
Love watching an artist at work... Wonderful skill!
You just flipped out with the level of craftsmanship on this beauty. Incredible work.
