some constructive criticism, not sure why yall are hating on the bottle SO much? Just say you don't like it and talk about the bourbon. There are so many brands and sub brands, bottle shape makes them stand out. Nobody confuses their bottle with anything else. People care about the whiskey inside the bottle, talk about that. Also, if you have pot still willet on your shelf, you're not gonna be taken as seriously. Again, just constructive criticism. Your show, do as you please. Thanks for the content.
Thank you for the thoughtful feedback-it’s much appreciated! You raise some valid points, but as the name suggests, the channel is Bourbon and Branding. While packaging is just one piece of a brand’s identity, it’s a huge connection point for CPG brands. We joke about it (partly in jest) because Dave has spent his entire career helping to build brands! That said, we’re both new to the RUclips universe and know we have a long way to go. We actually reviewed the Pot Still and really enjoyed it! If you have another bottle recommendation, we’re all ears-we’re here to learn and grow, my friend. Cheers! 🥃
I'm putting in my comments prior to watching the video, so I hope it goes well since I really enjoy the Full Proof, If you haven't tried the 12 Year, It's amazing too
Haha, I hear you! But as the name suggests, Bourbon and Branding is all about diving into the intersection of whiskey and brand strategy. We focus a lot on packaging and broader topics like brand design and positioning. Ironically, until buyers develop strong preferences, packaging plays a huge role in shaping purchase decisions-especially in the CPG space. It’s fascinating how much influence it can have! Value the feedback!
You guys need to rest high proof whisky before drinking it. They are all going to be hot if you drink out right after poured. I stumbled on your channel, and I don't want to be a super critic, but whiskey of the year "by some whiskey..." . If your video is to inform, then first be informed. Do better.
Thank you for the insight-we truly appreciate it! The channel started as a way to spark great conversations, and it’s been a fun journey so far. While Dave enjoys whisky, his passion leans more toward the brand side of the discussion-still so much to learn. If you have any other recommendations, we’re all ears and always looking to grow and improve the content. Cheers! 🥃
Sorry to hear that. The show is Bourbon and BRANDING though. We spend a lot of time talking about brand all the way from strategy to design. Not everyone's cup of tea-no worries.
Guys your name is Bourbon and Branding, not two nerds bitching about packaging and not saying anything of substance. Ewww! Full proof bourbon stings! 500k YT channels created everyday but are not needed. What have you got against Art-Deco? Or do you not have anything else to compare to?
Dang, bro! Pulling out the BIG guns! 😆 You’re absolutely right-there are a ton of people making videos these days. Thanks for taking the time to watch! No shade toward Art Deco or any specific art period here. What would you compare it to? The bottle treatment, typography, and overall visual identity definitely feel inspired by early 20th-century design to us. Curious to hear your take!
I guess people watching haven’t see the channel name or video name. Bourbon and BRANDING. I personally can’t stand the 1792 branding. It’s got a cheap art-deco look to it and it just doesn’t jive with me.
🤣 Haha, right?! The channel is all about sparking conversation. We love whiskey, but we never planned to build the channel just around it. We totally agree-it feels like they were hinting at a time period that doesn’t quite align with the brand’s position. And yeah, the name not matching the aesthetic makes it even more confusing. Thanks for the feedback, friend! If you have any other suggestions, we’d love to hear them-we’re always looking to improve. Cheers! 🥃

I hope the time was well spent. We are aiming to learn and grow. This is a whole new endeavor for us both!
That’s a lot of commentary about the look of the bottle.
It is Bourbon and BRANDING. We do talk a lot about visual identity design on the channel. But, we understand not everyone might be interested.
Remember guys, always buy whiskey based off of what the bottle looks like. It's what's on the outside that counts XD

Full Proof + High Rye is too much for me. I prefer the 1792 Small Batch.
The Small Batch is on our list to try, thanks for checking in! Any others you think we should check out?

You two lost me getting caught up on the bottle. Dumb
