Sounds great with the djembe miked up. Would the brushes be drowned out playing in a drum circle? Would you need a djembe stand? Would the brush position be comfortable if the djembe is in the traditional position, between the knees? Any extra wear on a goatskin drumhead? Thanks
Hello David, outstanding video. A friend of mine forwarded this video to me and I was captivated by the sound you were getting from the drum with the brushes, I immediately ordered the Kuckhermann Sign & Stalk / percussion. I am looking at the stand you are using to hold the Djembe. Can you tell me where I can get a stand like that? Thanks. Also, you are a very soulful player.

Amazing review about this product and sweet playing like always Ahah and I love the story buddy ;)
David Kuckhermann great! Thank you...the reason i asked was because i've been trying to play my 13" djembe with whisk brooms and have been finding it a bit tight: not really enough space and not really enough bass...well, also i think i need to 'customize' the brooms a bit (trim them, make them a bit smaller, and break in the fibers)
it is special percussion brooms, designed for different drums and playing situations. you can purchase them here: www.rawpercussion.de/news/the-instruments/brooms/

Great sounds as usual, david! Would anyone know what size (diameter) the djembe is? 14"? 16"? Thank you.

not enough bass can cause material of you drum - if it's goat skin, maybe that's the reason@@adequatio929
what kind of Cajon are you using at the end of this video? it sounds lovely.
Great video, cool sound! Please, tell me is it real cleaning straw brooms (#1) and cut off handle of ones (#2) or special percussion brooms?
