How crazy. My name is Kevin, Ive been following you guys since you bought atticus I. Never thaought you would be in my neck of the woods, Crazy as it sounds My family and I live in Swannanoa which is next to Asheville. We survived Helen thankfully, I feel like we have survivors guilt . Anyway it was nice to see you guys looking for a home in this area
God Bless you and your in-laws for helping your parents. I am probably close to your parents age and I know what it would mean to have my family there.
What a beautiful video. Just goes to show you can never be too safe. It’s very hard to reflect on those moments where you don’t necessarily feel like you deserve to be where you are. I really appreciate and respectful who you two are as people. You are so thoughtful, and care without being asked to, and that’s so refreshing to see. You always try to do the right thing. We need more of that in life! Cheers on safer travels and congrats on that lil baby bump ❤
Love you guys! So sorry for the destruction of Xio's home. Very glad you were close enough to be able to help. And glad your camper was safe. Be well. ❤
Oh my! So sorry for your Mom! We are 3 blocks from the beach in Venice & pretty close to ground 0. We need a new roof but somehow didn’t get the flooding our nearby neighbors got. I understand your thoughts about survivors syndrome. Good bless Cio, I hope recovery goes well.
When the area is cleaned up and you guys have everything settled in with the new baby, you guys should go back and hike the trails to the waterfalls in DuPonte park. They are beautiful.
And this is what family is all about, sacrificing when the need arises. It is so uplifting to see the outpouring of love and support to all of the hurricane victims...... it reinstills faith in humanity. I love this channel! Glad your trailer was spared. Be well Project Atticus, can't wait to see your new home.
Hey guys, don’t skip out on exploring the Bryson City area, it’s an awesome little town with great people. I live in Fl and book short term rentals there regularly. You’ll like Bryson, for sure.
The Lord God has been with you all this time. He alone is sovereign. Your experiences have nothing to do with luck or “knocking on wood.” He has His hand upon you. So thankful for your safety. Soon you’ll realize and understand all of this. Blessings to you and your beautiful family.
Lived on a sailboat for 10 years, now worries about the rain when setting up his rig 😂😂 Just teasing you, Jordan. You guys look happier. That motel waffle was insane 😂
When you are at any point in life and you take any action, at any angle, large or tiny, as we all have to do, you can end up with vastly different results with chance playing a significant part. It's basic geometry. A point in time is a centre point of a circle and who knows what things will be like by the time you get to the distant circumferences. Life is exciting!
We are in WNC now volunteering from Montana. Many areas remain a mess. What people need now is money to rebuild. Insurance is refusing claims left and right and they dont have the money to buy building materials. Its getting cold at night and has been rainy- many are still living in tents.
RV Tip: During the day or especially the night do not leave your storage compartments in the open position. I have seen my fellow RVers leave them open and some critters (mice) got into the RV and were in the living area that night. While in the Keys camping a BIG rat got in the RV next to us, needless to say they did not sleep much that night. When I bought our RV I crawled under it and used the builders foam with rodent proof into every crack and opening that I came across. Since 2012 we have not encountered any critters inside. Wait, I take that back. While parked next to the house here in Central Florida a small lizard got in when I opened the door, but I was able to catch it and let him/her out. Great video!
Great video!!! When I got out of military in 1993, I lived in Murphy NC because my X-wife is from there. It’s beautiful mountain community, but like you said there’s not a lot of jobs and economic opportunities there. I had to move back toward where I’m from now just west of Charlotte!!! I’m glad y’all dodged the storm and able to help Desires mom. Again great video and hope y’all can continue to search for a permanent home site… Bryson City is also beautiful, Great Smokey Mountains are some of the most amazing scenery of mountains on the east coast::
I love Bryson City! I grew up rafting the Natahala River every summer as a kid. You'll have to take your babies when they are older. It's an easy family friendly river. Nice of you guys to go help your Mom! I'm sure she's very grateful! Hope her home is better by now and you're back on the road!
We live in west Tennessee and we only got average winds but three days of hard rain from the end of the hurricane, then got the end of another a couple weeks later, however the week you got it, we had reservations at Fontana Lake and were preparing to leave when we learned that I-40 had several miles gone, not phone service and bridges gone. We had no way to cancel our reservations, but instead of going elsewhere, we just stayed home and relaxed and sent money to Samaritan's Purse. They did refund our money once phone service was restored the following Thursday... More people are traveling now, and Florida stays booked up from September through April in most of the campgrounds, especially the further south you go, but in years of traveling, we never made reservations in the rest of the country, even California. Did have a problem in Alaska, but it was due to international events or competitions in June. You probably noticed that the campgrounds you stayed in were not full unless they were private ones with permanent residents as a lot of people recently have retired in campers in one location with monthly or yearly fees.
You guys are going to have another baby girl pretty soon. Isabella is very sweet and adorable, and I pray and hope that the next baby will be healthy and that Desire will have an easy delivery.
Jordan, I think that's a humble, honorable kind-hearted thing to think, I don't deserve to be lucky. I don't either, but I'm thankful to God for every good thing. Happy Thanksgiving!
Jordan, you’re not alone feeling like you don’t deserve to be so lucky. It’s a form of PTSD. Like Kevin said it’s called survivors guilt. Sorry you have to go through that but like I said, you’re not alone. All we war-era Veterans come home with some degree of this guilt. Why am I still here? Why not my buddies? It’s something you have to personally find a way to deal with. Maybe you can begin to understand why the suicide rate is so high for veterans. Sorry to post such a sensitive subject. Really just wanted to support your thoughts and feelings.👍. Love y’all’s channel since Atticus #1❤⛵️🇺🇸
Hey guys. Good to see you again. There aren't too many sailing channels I follow anymore. After writing a song for Peter on Sailing into Freedom (Sailing to Freedom, Episode 265 and others) I followed three or four. I always enjoyed yours. Completely understand your current decisions to be off the water for a while. The trailer life is right in our wheelhouse as we spend at least 6 months a year in our Brinkley fifth wheel. Most of it living off grid in the southwest. That Asheville area is awesome, and we have visited it several times in our 54 years together. Steeped in a great musical tradition I love to busk in local campgrounds there and always find players willing to jam. Keep up the good work. Fun to watch your progress. Burlington Bill busking on the road and here on you-tube.
I live north of you in Pinellas county, got 22" in the house 34" outside... pretty much lost everything.... going back in new drywall last week, we cut the bottom 48" off, pricing new kitchen and bathrooms this week... completely remodel this house in 2019 / 20... here we go again... Would somebody come up with a good inexpensive flood dam? please!
I know your mother-in-law is lucky you both can help ! It could have been more diff if she had to wait for professional help! Hope it all went well! I noticed your sister in law had a William & Mary shirt on. If she went out or goes there it’s a great school! My brother and sister went there! A neat town as well! Glad you were spared the distraction of the storm!😊
You made the right choice to help family paying forward all the help that others have provided you over the years. But, pregnant lady should not be around contaminates-obviously.
Ironic that you were on Lookout Mountain where all the models predicted a direct hit. You move way east an the storm does too, an goes further east than you did.
If you guys are going to continually travel around, pulling that RV behind you, you may want to consider getting a pro pride hitch. for safety reasons !! Just spend five minutes in research it.. 😀😀😀😀
I imagine this thought crossed your mind, but this timing could have been a huge blessing to you. You are looking for a place to settle, and the area just got hit with historic weather damage. If things had been a little different, you could have just bought a property and been wrecked in a matter of weeks afterwards. That would have been difficult. This flooding seems to be climate change related. It seems to me that one needs to consider that it can happen again. Picking a place that might not be as vulnerable is something to consider, although it might be easier said than done.....
Luck is just that, luck. It doesn’t favor those in need or deserving. Instead of seeing the area at its best, you get to see it at its worst. You still want a mountain home?
Wow it feels like Jordan and I have a lot in common and sense these kind of weather forecast and reading the sky. I knew when it wasn't even a named storm that this was going to be extreme. Knowing the weather/water and climate as a roofer it's funny that your gut feeling is right. We lucked out here in Conyers Georgia. If you guys buy something around here I would love to meet up and make you guys our new friends! Lol I've been your friend already for years lol but that's one sided hahaha
I loved these guys and watched since they started sailing. To the point where I purchased my own sailboat. But now they have given up on that dream adventure so suddenly and disregarded all that support from loyal viewers. It's time to say goodbye now as I have no interest in their house hunting 😢
Not an airport, no need to announce your departure. Loyal fans are following because we've become interested in them as a family, whatever they happen to be doing is no longer the main reason.
Why is something like surfshark not offered as a security standard to everybody. Question from a novice, just curious. Why must we pay extra for this privilege? 😮💨Confused! Sorry about Helen destroy ur life savings
No such thing as luck. You were blessed by the God (YHWH). All blessings come from Above from the Father of Lights. You should give thanks that you were spared such hardship. None of us deserve any. Where favor exists, thanks is required. As a North Carolinian, those without homes are not out of danger. Some would love to be warm & not sleeping in tents. Remember them in prayer when you give thanks for being alive today. Amen & amen. God is not done with you. His plan is not finished.
Small correction, there is no such thing as "luck that can change the course of your life", it is by God's hand you were spared in that horrific storm. Please stop taking His name in vain on your show and honor the One who spared your lives and property and even the lives of your mom and sister who were in the hurricane.

I live in Asheville and lived through the hurricane. Just got potable water last week for the firs time. Tough going!
Love you guys! So sorry for the destruction of Xio's home. Very glad you were close enough to be able to help. And glad your camper was safe. Be well. ❤

You lucked out/were blessed so you can help/bless others. Good decision! Happens to me all the time!

Take the railroad trip along the river. Very cool!
Wonderful to see Giovanna again! Looking forward to seeing all your hard work next episode. Take care guys!
Every day is a gift. We should be grateful for all of them.
The adventure continues...sorry for all the damage but very happy everyone is healthy.
I look forward to seeing these videos every Saturday morning at 6 AM

Its November guys, l think you survived 😅, but yes you are behind, we understand, and loving your new adventures

Good to see you being cautious, your boating skills have set you up for a lot of calmly navigating at lot of challenges.

Thanks for sharing. Such devastation. Hope your Mom's house gets fixed okay.
Awfully sorry, i was quite worried about your mom knowing where she lives. Hope all goes well during remediaton.
I’m so sorry “mom”… but how awesome to have 2 daughters and a wonderful son in law to come along side you.
Murphy is beautiful! Hope you have a really close friend that lives there and I love visiting!

Calvin and Karen Price watching from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦.. So pleased everything was ok...
But such devastation...
I'm sorry to hear that your mom's home flooded. At least it is still standing. She seemed to have a good attitude.
Jordan, you’re not alone feeling like you don’t deserve to be so lucky. It’s a form of PTSD. Like Kevin said it’s called survivors guilt. Wish you all the best in your new adventures. Stay safe and "Family First". But it just not the same as on Atticus.
Atticus family is the best🤗
welcome to life on earth, lived thru two tornados, one-flood and now a loss of job for two years and no prospects of work.
So sorry guys. Ya'll been coping so much bad weather over there. All the best to your families.👍🙏
Thanks!
Glad you folks went unscathed…. I enjoy watching your vids and keep you in my prayers. Curious if you are able to tie down your trailer.
So why not drive West for 12 hours or more with the camper, or was the storm spreading that far West?
God was with you Guys! No luck Jordan!! You are truly fortunate and blessed! I'm glad!!
My Grand Banks 36 was on a mooring ball at st Augustine and I got a hotel for hurricane Helen...
I know your mother-in-law is lucky you both can help ! It could have been more diff if she had to wait for professional help! Hope it all went well! Glad you were spared the distraction of the storm!😊
If you buy a house in the Bryson city area, you could always collab with the Perkins builder brothers!
We are still drying out the walls and repairs on floors(wood) it will take time..but it's ok..
Bryson City is the home of Perkin's Builder Brothers which have an awesome RUclips channel

So sad all that destruction and the insurance won’t pay up 😢
Was in Bryson City last week, this past August, and 19 other times in my life (and 7 years of marriage)
I think the storm hit because you stayed in Murphy. It's his law.
If you guys are going to continually travel around, pulling that RV behind you, you may want to consider getting a pro pride hitch. for safety reasons !! Just spend five minutes in research it.. 😀😀😀😀

i lived in Murphy
It’s all about truth Faith , Jesus is in totally in control!! Bryson is good😘! Enjoy the town I was there last during this weeks!,
Guys, it’s not too late, you can still make it back to Montenegro. Just saying. 😅
This is not normal. It's man made. Look up HAAARP.
you would be lucky when you go back and your camper is still there thieves will steal your camper or the flooding could take it away !!!
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

WHO is taking Gods name in vain? 🤷🏻♂️ These are good people. How did you manage to interpret that on THIS channel!?! Chill out 🫤
You are so funny with that American flag you are sticking on a caravan!? I am in Europe and I can't understand this!!!???
