Thanks for sharing Dan. O been using one of these For a while now. I dont miss the plastic sleeve as my last couple of leather wallets never had one. It's been a pretty good wallet so far, I have quite a few cards including electronic access cards for building entree and this wallet offers more than enough organization. Considering how much I got in there the light material of the wallet keeps the profile pretty low. Very impressed.
i would suggest having a magnet closure instead of velcro, or no velcro or magnet at all. just let it be like a standard wallet, its not like its gonna open up in your back pocket. that velcro is too loud and i wouldnt wanna be making that noise every time i open my wallet.
As far as the ID being clear plastic, EVERYWHERE I have been make you take it out of the clear sleeve, so what does it matter? IMHO the no-seeum will last A LOT longer than clear plastic... Every clear plastic holder I have ever had has broke or stuck to the picture or clouded up after time, so I think I prefer the no-seeum...
I love my Urban Wallet...but it doesn't quite fit the need. Mainly because of typically having to pull all my cash out to get to what I need. An inconvenience at times when I've a decent amount on me. It seems like this would be a better fit when tossing all the cards etc into the mix?
Thats a lot of velcro. STandard velcro kind of wears out after a while and doesn't really grab properly anymore. I wonder if the Maxpedition stuff is heavier duty?
sherman614 This Spartan is advertised that has water resistant feature. However, when I drop some water on it; the water is absorbed instead of slipping away. I also try on the CMC wallet and it does as advertised. Have you found that ?
Jeez it's like your reading my mind, first the 5.11 mag pouch, then the Izula, and now this? I've been meaning to pick one of these up. Great review as always!
The only weakness of this wallet is the male end of the velcro! The stitching holding it on is problematic after a moderate amount of use. Great wallet other than that!
@sherman614 I was Just about To Order One But The Big Question I Have is Does it Stick out your Back Pocket at All in Regular Levi Jeans? That's My Selling Point
Great video. I bought the wallet. #1 thing missing is. RFID protection. Come on maxpedition it's 2020. I.D. theft happens. I found a solution in Ebay. A RFID Wallet insert.
The major difference wouldn't be in appearance, it's in quality. Maxpedition coats their nylon in Dupont polyurethane, which is going to make sure it will not fray, or get dirty easily, and also makes it very water resistant. Maxpedition products are priced they way they are for a reason, it's not just because of the name.
Thanks for the indepth review of the Spartan....good job Sherm...been looking for a durable and tactical (ie, "useful) wallet...this one looks like it'll fit the bill (all puns intended-lol). I ordered one tonite...like your review style so I subbed buddy...
I bought the "Fox Advance Tactical Wallet" and it looks the exact same as this one down to the last detail (except for the maxpedition tags) and its only $8.99
Hey i was wondering Sherminator my friend :D, have you watched the movie American Pie?? :P That's where the name came from but i'm sure you know that :D!! Also great review, and i love my small little Micro wallet, just a great choice for those that like to be minimalistic :). But overall for those that have bigger wallet needs, the spartan is probobly for them. I also like the Urban wallet i might get that one, has a coin keeping capability but still keeps a compact body of the Micro wallet
i have always used animal stuff . i am no longer impressed with them and have been looking for a new wallet . this is the one . thank you . greetings from England.
It looks like a good wallet but no way to attach it. I have a Harley leather wallet with a chain and a belt loop. Bills stay flat when I sit on it. 😎👍🇨🇦
Seems like a fine wallet, but I can't see myself using a velcro wallet. I would feel like I'm using a kid's wallet everytime I open it. Nice review man!
So there is no pcoket with a closing flap where you can put coins? worst thing in the world is picking up your dropped coins when you are first at a long line of a cash register
@lurch2150 Because i like to talk about all aspects of a product, not just an overview like a company would give. I review, and part of reviewing is showing and explaining everything possible about a product :)
theres something about paying a bill at a nice restaurant and opening your Velcro wallet at the counter that says to me A: you live in a caravan B: you have the mental ability of a 9 yr old C: you have never engaged in sexual intercourse.

Nice review! However, you mentioned that the change won't wear through it, but... where would you actually PUT change in that?

Where do they expect you to keep your photos in this wallet
where do you keep your change!!!

Had you considered getting the Spec Ops T.H.E wallet instead of this? And if so, what made you decide on the Spartan?
Either in the back mesh pocket, or down in money slots :)
Were do I get one at?
cheers man, you sold it, got one coming in the post this week. great reviews, keep up the hard work. Best regards from Ireland.
I hate the mesh on expedition products things in it get wet when it rains so I hate that.

Couldn't you use the outside mesh pocket as your id window? I'm thinking that may be the manufacturers intent.
You're probably right, if not then that is a great idea!
Best wallet I've ever owned Spec Ops Brand the W.A.L.L.E.T. JR and lifetime warranty!

They make another version of this wallet that has actual coil slots in it. I'dcheck that one out.

Too much rings on the fingers, it looks like a girl's arms
all i saw in the description of the video was "A great wallet for every day use, and also a good little organ"
Keep up the Great vids!
Shame it doesn't have a lanyard loop.
ive been looking at getting one of those for a minute...i like the spartan alot...i mit just go with that...thanks for the vid bro...
Its never good when the female end is larger then the male end :-(
It is a big wallet, and it sits flush with the edge of the pocket in my Levi's.
Great review! Thank you, and I subbed to your channel.
"The hardened male end" LOL :)

+FoodOnCrack found it: it has none. The zipper made the previous model, the PUG too difficult for pocket carry.
Could you fit an American passport in it?
@murphi14
Lol! I can see what you mean. I liken this option cause you could carry change in it without it wearing a hole in it. And thank you!
I hear ABR in the background! Hell yea!

Nice wallet man. Love the review. =)
