I went to Walmart today 5/7/2024 and they have just a few dvd's and blurays left. I wanted to see for myself what is happening to physical media and it is getting ridiculous. I can't believe we are going to let streaming companies charge us a lot and even get rid of shows and movies we enjoy anytime they want. If we own our own dvd, bluray, or 4k discs, we can watch them anytime we want and no restrictions or limitations. Things are not getting better, but worse it seams. We as consumers are letting them do this to all of us. How sad... :(
My Walmart had all those Disney + shows out but they stocked them all under the blu-ray price. I guess since they looked the same they just stuck them all together. All they had to do was look at the spine. I'm still waiting to receive my Disney Movie Club order for all of them. Only having to pay full price for one and then getting all the others 60% off was a deal I couldn't pass up.
Target will start getting smaller by 2025 it was confirm by target & they will only foucs on new release & when holiday comes around they will still release holidays on dvds & blu-ray & 4k
It's the only one I would consider buying! Falcon and Winter soldier was crap, obi wan was a completely wasted opportunity and moon knight was just weird
I got oceans trilogy 4k, madame 4k , mean girls 4k, the crow 4k earlier. I want moonlight 4k , OBI-WAN 4k , andor 4k falcon and the winter solider 4k
Disney didn't have to do us like this dropping all these good releases the same week. I'm clearing them out when I come through 😤

Walmart is the only place in my town with movies any more, as far as the main businesses.
