Oh sweetheart. I crocheted a shawl for my daughter before she died, but it got thrown away, I was devastated. I made another for myself thinking that my granddaughters could have one each when my time comes, but now there is only one 😓🙁

Illinois must be proud of you, I am, & only through my sister deciding that crochet would help me deal with Depression & Anxiety. She gave me a skein of yarn & a hook & said, “All you need now is Crystal” I had no idea what she was talking about, but she fired up my iPad & went straight to Bag o Day, I’ve been in & out ever since. I still suffer with anxiety, but who wants to go out anyway, when I can stay in & crochet, right? Crystal, I love this pattern. I just made my third cardigan from this tutorial. I made two as gifts last year, and finally made one for myself! I used Loops & Threads Barcelona BIG! yarn in Stardust and it's so soft and cuddly. I didn't want it too heavy since I made it extra long, so I used an 8mm hook and it's perfect.

Crocheting helps calm my anxiety. It keeps me busy and my mind focused. It makes me feel accomplished when I finish so that helps with depression.

Crystal, I love this pattern. I just made my third cardigan from this tutorial. I made two as gifts last year, and finally made one for myself! I used Loops & Threads Barcelona BIG! yarn in Stardust and it's so soft and cuddly. I didn't want it too heavy since I made it extra long, so I used an 8mm hook and it's perfect.
How long does it take to make one? I would like to make a few as gifts and some days I work long hours
