Hey everyone, Daggyboi here! Thanks to ESA for this opportunity and for an awesome event, the entire thing was a lot of fun. If anyone has any questions about the run, I'll happily answer them. Enjoy the run and have a good day everyone! ^^
You got a bit unlucky with some of those trees and that upside-down rail grind. Also, loved the way you got the platinum score for style mile in the first 15 seconds. Anyway, great run as always!
@ MJ A True, I was not expecting that upside-down rail to strike. The trees did suck a bit, but for the most part, it was down to poor setup, so I only have myself to blame :P Thank you, I appreciate it!
the day before this was uploaded i was looking through some nostalgic games i really wanna invest in again... this was one of them. but i think you running it was mor entertaining but its also given me a new reason to play it :D That being speedrunning it :D GJ MAN
@ HARRY GRIFFITHS Thank you so much for your kind words! Glad you liked the run, and I'm excited I could activate some nostalgia for you and make you play this amazing game again, hope you'll have fun! If you have Discord and you'd like to join the SSX Discord, let me know and I'll give you an invite link :)
There were days on the real world ski slopes that I wished DJ Atomika was there to narrate my rides down the mountain. Still one of my favorite releases in this series!
22:11 I got the platinum on Gravitude on my first run by complete accident. I didn't know the existed until then. That's how I discovered you can actually get platinum medals
I grew up thinking I must be one of the best in the world at this game... I thought wrong. Definitely going to get it out at Christmas and see how I can do though!
12:55 Did this technique speed up the spinning and/or flipping? Looked like quite some extra speed at the start 13:44 I know this technique well, though, I call it the sharpshooter As for upside-down rails... I remember getting so excited when that happened as a kid, I completely forgot about it until it happened again a few days ago. I don't think I'll get frustrated by them ruining my runs, it's worth the chance of actually landing one.
tbh of a multitude of games around 2003, this game really dated well. The animations and gameplay hold up today easily. Anyone could play this game at any point and enjoy it as it was intended. Not even mentioning the killer soundtrack.
Absolutely. I play it about once every year or two still. It holds up very well. It could come out tomorrow and feel fresh. Almost everything about the game is perfectly executed, it knows what it’s trying to accomplish and sticks to it, and it has a brilliant atmosphere.
I remember playing this game as a kid, I liked Griff and Mack, but I never knew about the Uber tricks or Super Uber, I always thought Super Uber was the name of the bar
Can I just say that I've been playing this for years and would always get really confused on Metro City when I teleported ahead. Good to know those were warps the developers put in to cheat

Lol not super related, but I only recently learned people don't like Viggo, which you mentioned. Why is that?

I actually do that, and let me just say... it is an amazing experience, especially if you get really good at snowboarding IRL! :)

Wow, nostalgia points from me. Minus points for dissing on Griff, he was my favorite to play as a kid
Me too
I want a t-shirt where on the back has the super uber tiles up top and the boost meter coil thing as the spine. Would be so sick
48:55 hopefully it's a *good time* for a donation message
Good Times comes on
Me and my mom used to play this all the time 15 years ago. Was a lot of fun.
