hey ..im working on an amplifier which has no shorted transistors or component that i could fine but the output of the amplifier gives a noisey distorted sound ??could you help me out here .
There’s lots of things it could be. Always start making certain power supply is correct... all the busses and power rails are to spec and well filtered/stable. If all of the power requirements are good and things are generally stable you will need a scope and signal generator to follow it through all of the gain stages to find where the problem is.
How are the best ways to get schematics or Service Guides for amps? I have been searching sites but to no avail. I would appreciate your comments on locating schematics for electronics. Perhaps a suggestion for a few sites would be good also. Thanks for the great videos.
It's satisfying to see things getting repaired instead of being thrown out and replaced with chinese junk. Keep up the good work, been watching a ton of your vids.
I'm trying to repair a pioneer prs-x320 found one irf540n was shorted out on output side and wanted to know if I replace it will I need to do bias adjustment afterwards
Hey man, love the videos, learning heaps from watching. What would you advise to use in the way of current limiting power supplies for testing? Do you always just use low voltage DC for testing on the secondary side of the power transformers or do you use a variac for bringing the item under test up slowly on mains AC with some sort or current limiter on the primary? I think i ought to invest in an isolation transformer to start with, but keen to hear what your thoughts are!
I sent you an email asking if you could repair an amp. I hit send, then a second later, your computer made a tone at 15:40. Lol, it made it feel like a live video.
I don't know how to message you personally, I have a couple fried fets that I'm trying to replace. Don't know how to cross reference the part. BONF70 GK11X V6 CHN 548 That's what's on them. Can you help?

+renuecomputers. If you cant find it with google or online manual sites you are out of luck. Most manufacturers dont leak out or sell service manuals.

+Sam Ward it should be real close but I would check it.
Kev31779 do u have a detailed video on how to set bias gains
I don't for that amp. If you have the service manual for it it should be in there. Every amplifier bias specs is different.
Kev31779 is the idle adjustment the same as the bias cause that's all I can find in service manual
idle current adjustment
Active Region, how can i contact you?
