There is so much cash-in dross to wade through on RUclips, everyone and his aunt trying to get people to watch their barely tolerable codswallop...and then you find these, The People's Profiles. What a relief! Thank you to whoever created these, I've just watched the fascinating Eva Braun one and am now starting the Himmler episode. A real human narrates, with a great voice and reading style, and the compilation of excellent video photography shows previously unseen footage. An absolute pleasure to watch, made by really talented, intelligent people.

19:01 I don't believe that because I clearly remember watching another documentary about their relationship and Eva's maid, who was being interviewed, say that whenever he arrived unexpectedly at the Berghof while Eva was on her PERIOD, she would get medicine from her doctor to repress it so that you know, do some "stuff" with Hitler. When you mention the repercussions of people who study those who have done such severe acts in their lives, and how there is struggle to 'humanize' them, I could not be happier it was mentioned! I think this avoidance does humanity as a whole a disservice, because while perpetuating a 'monster' may seem more ideal, in fact I think telling of the 'monster's humanity' is more important, as it can explain HOW these 'monsters' managed to fool and control so many around them. So thank you for this.

I'm Jewish, and we've been taught that while they were monstrous, evil people, Hitler and his ilk were , in fact, just "somebody" at one point, and those who followed them were "somebody" as well. Humanizing Nazis and their supporters is a very delicate matter, but if we were to say "only monsters can do this", it can cause people to think "this will never happen again, because we'll know a monster when we'll see one", but we must always be prepared for another Hitler or Stalin or Pol Pot to rise again, because they were all, at some point, just someone's neighbor or classmate.
Those that do ‘evil’ never think they are the ones doing the ‘evil’. It’s important to understand them and their line of thinking that got them to where they were so others do not fall into that faulty line of thinking.

I remember as we studied history when I was a child, I was sickened by Hitlers atrocities, but to discover there was a woman in his life, by his side, seemingly devoted to him ... that I could not fathom. Remember I was very young, back in the 70s when the role of males and females in a family differed compared to today, it was difficult to believe any human could do to others what he did, however a female in my mind was a nurturer, not someone that could be exposed to all that happened and stay with the individual committing the horrors he did, I simply could not understand it. She would have been well aware of his view on Jewish people at the very least, she would have known of their rights being stripped, as evident surrounding her elder sisters employment with the Jewish physician, she was a photographer to the Nazi party for how many years? I understand there is speaking in code, and perhaps women not being invited into the inner sanctum, however I simply cannot believe she never overheard any of Hitlers orders etc. I believe she was an immature, materialistic individual, that turned a blind eye, justified and made excuses for the things she may have seen and heard, to continue living the lifestyle she desired. It’s like you simply read the facts they posted (she is often overlooked, and any historical account should be objective) and immediately had a total emotional response. This RUclips channel is amazing. Most documentaries really overcomplicate things but this is so clear and I can take in infomation and understand it which makes it so much easier when Iam revising.
Braun certainly knew some horrific things were going on as the war deteriorated. It would be impossible to ignore that major cities in Germany were being bombed with horrific loss of life and property. And that Russians were getting closer to Berlin. But while most Germans were suffering and dying, Braun lived in a world of luxury and privilege. I think she selfishly and vainly wanted to enjoy those benefits for as long as she possibly could.
I will always believe that Eva Braun was "sly as a fox," and much more in-the-know than some others realize. Sensational biographical portrait, gentlemen.
It puzzles me the amount of women who threw themselves at Hitler, some committing suicide,his niece being one of them, and that got brushed under the carpet, I think Eva was a devious woman,who I’m sure would have got rid of anyone who posed a threat, I wonder how she got on with Mrs Goebbels? she loved and worshipped Hitler and his vision of the Aryan Race, sadly she killed all her poor children and then herself with Joseph, what a grip Hitler had on everyone madness pure madness.
I don't know... if she was sly, I think she kept it from Hitler as well. He seemed to keep her around because she never challenged him and solely existed to cheer him up. But we'll never truly know.
I really seriously appreciate you and your writers pointing out specific details are still in contention between historians. One major issue with tackier and cheaper channels seeking to purely entertain would rather present what sounds most interesting, ignore the rest and actively choose to avoid stating certain things might not be true and are still unknown. +1000 for not being a low brow trash channel that goes beyond a quick skin of a wikipedia page while most the rest are better left in the dust.

I think Eva was smarter than people give her credit for. She existed in that lions den of strong and evil personalities, all vying to be closer to the Fuhrer. Fantastic video! Thank you 🙏 ☮️💟
Interestingly, I heard from a different documentary that Eva's "cry for help" in the form of a failed suicide enraged Hitler, for he saw it as manipulative, considering Eva apparently knew (to some extent) about his relationship with Geli, and his feelings (Geli was said to be the only woman Hitler ever loved) for her, and she was deeply jealous. Upon rushing to Eva's side, he promptly told her to never do something like that again. I do believe it made him more perceptive to her admiration, and made him realize her value, therefore making him care for her. I also believe that he never forgot this manipulation (at least in his eyes) and it is one of the reasons why he never loved Eva. In my opinion, he held some affections for her, because she worshipped the ground he walked on, which stroked his fragile ego. He must have recognized this to an extent, which is why he found her valuable and an asset, she made him feel good. He used her to feel powerful, and he realized he needed her. Which made him soften up in regards to her, but I don't believe he ever fully loved her.
Hitler was a sociopath and sociopaths are incapable of love. Whatever " genuine love" he may have had for his niece, it was simply about control and perversion.
I have walked in her footsteps. My ex-husband is a native of Berlin, and took me on a tour of Der Reichtag and other sites within the area of the Battle of Berlin in those closing days of WWII. In all honesty, I believe she was a combination of both a knowing participant in the propaganda machine as a photographer, but also an innocent who was used, abused, and brainwashed. I also believed she was insanely smart, and an opportunist given her terrible early life. She was definitely a self sufficient a very capable and extremely complex paradox of a woman.

The exact date of Eva's first meeting with Hitler is known: October 11, 1929. We know this because Herta Schneider told John Toland in 1973-74 it was the second Friday in October of that year. Also, at 14:12, Gretl Braun is shown, that is not Eva. At 38:37 that is not Baldur, but Gerhard Engel.
Excellent biography. As far as whether Eva Braun knew that she was a beneficiary of the atrocities that were going on in Germany (i.e., The Holocaust), there is no way in Hades she couldn’t have known. Just because she was apolitical, that doesn’t mean she was naive and stupid. After all, she was the assistant of Hitler’s photographic propagandist and took pictures in advance of that effort. And then she was frequently at the Berghof, were Hitler would have conversed with many of those in his inner circle. Undoubtedly she overheard not a few things they were discussing!
kinda feel bad for her family, almost like it was cursed, she had no children, her sister gretl had a child that died in her 20's without children and her other sister had no children, nothing left of her family today

Overall, a tragic figure, regardless of how much she knew about the Holocaust: a young, vivacious woman probably so typical of her time, but probably mentally stunted by naivete and love for a beast that didn't deserve it. More tragic is the story of Hitler's niece Geli who evidently tried to break free of her uncle's control and seemingly ended up taking her own life. Well-presented and sober account, all the more effective for the excellent narration. Thumbs up.
Naivete is a convenient position of not knowing the horror that surrounds you. She knew about her older sister working for a Jewish physician and tried to dissuade her from working for him. Es ist mir egal, let me live my life! Eva Braun.

Great video as always. As for Eva Braun, I am not basing this on any historical facts, but it would be more than possible for Eva Braun to have been unaware of Hitler’s crimes. By the time of the final solution, she was in their far-away mansion, possibly living in blissful ignorance and extreme wealth. On that note, it is extremely common for the family and close friends of people in extreme power to be completely unaware of the person in the middle of it being corrupt. One example that comes to mind is Pablo Escobar’s family and wife, who were mostly unaware of what was truly going on.
I would largely agree. I don’t think she is a sly fox as some suggest on here. I don’t think she really knew that much because Hitler didn’t want her to. I think he kept her around because not only did she worship the ground he walked on but she also provided an escape from everything else going on in his life . If the sexual suggestions are true then he could be with her without judgement or embarrassment and for someone with as fragile of an ego as he had that would have been vital to him . He needed her as much as she needed him . I think it’s nonsense to suggest Hitler could not love . I believe he did love Eva very much . Your analysis is quite possible. Though it must be mentioned that Magda Goebbels had no illusions about the Nazi Party and most definitely her husband by 1944. But then Eva Braun was never even considered an intellectual bantam weight by those who came in touch with her, so really no comparison.
I’ve talked to a lot of people in Germany and it was wildly known what was going on. A lot of people said they even understood as children. The mother of a coworker of mine recalled having a neighbour, a child, with a disability. One day this child was just taken away, and people got it. This was happening everywhere. She knew about it.
As much as we may want to think she was naive about what was going on, I think it unlikely. Hitler would have spoken to her about things in confidence as many do with their partners.

This was so masterfully narrated that i barely breathed the entire time! The way she is portrayed is really as someone who was young, immature and looking for a father figure...therefore to view her as someone who knew about the Nazi Regime is difficult, even if she knew, she was so enamored with Hitler that she felt what he was doing was for 'the Greater good ' of Germany and therefore she held him in high esteem. She loved the power and protection she didn't get from her father.
She was seemingly a very enigmatic personage, although I find it hard to believe that she was not aware of what was going on albeit, in complete denial and afraid to face the demon and his cohorts amongst whom she lived, preferring instead to revel in the illusory luxuries she was afforded by this very evil entity. Having said that the films and pictures of her and to see her face in essentially unaffected gaiety and enjoyment of her life seem to say that she almost I think was afraid to look behind the curtain again this is only supposition and my opinion but I would find it fairly implausible that she did not know what was going on in some way shape or form, she was always surrounded by officers in a cohort so you know we’re deeply entrenched in the horror that was created by the Hitler regime, How could she not know so completely, even being faced with the percentage of Hitler himself who is a somber and dour figure

Years back, my 8th grade history teacher showed us a film he had "liberated" from one of Hitler's homes shortly after the war ended. It showed Eva Braun prancing around in the nude with Hitler smiling in the background. As a teenage boy, I was impressed.
The saddest thing about the second WW was that Hitler, the hopeless coward wasn't apprehended in his bunker by the Russians. It would have been great to hear in detail all the horrible things the Russians would have done to him and Eva.
They would do nothing exept hang him in nurenberg. Like the other war criminals. The soilders who enterd the bunker had orders. There wouldnt be a revenge story from a "hero" soilder. Live isnt a movie.
From the information presented, Braun certainly didn't exploit her liaison as a "gold-digger" would have. It appears she chose the man despite what she may have known/probably knew about his life away from their life together. That being said, we have no way of knowing what that life was truly like and we have contemporary examples of women deeply loving men they knew to be monsters. Wow! That is a fantastic documentary with so many excellent pictures and films! During wars and crises people rationalize that their individual sides are justified. Violence and death are similarly excused as necessary. Us against them or them against us. I have an idea the worst of the activities were somewhat sanitized for the top echelon. Wasn't it Himmler who reportedly fainted when he visited a death camp? Jews had long faced discrimination in Europe. Here in America there were African Americans. Even Abraham Lincoln, the Great Emancipator, did not consider black Americans to be completely equal, as he indicated in a speech. These poisons fester within societies for generations until no one questions them. I assume Eva Braun was largely ignorant of many things and what she did know, she excused. It appears she saw the kinder, gentler side of her Fuhrer, so why would she imagine the worst?

Honestly, I’m surprised. I expected her to be similar to magda goebbels: stoic, ice-cold and ambitious. She was just an immature girl with a lost soul. I can’t even judge her since she was really young when AH basically groomed her into having a relationship with him. So sad.
I think Eva Braun was exactly what Hitler wanted her to be. Given his attachment to his Niece, he was fixated on nymphets…young, fit, sometimes silly girls. It was no mistake that Eva’s first suicide attempt. Mirrored precisely that of Gelli, she needed to know he loved her. She had the mannerisms of a teenager, showing off and being flirtatious, never venturing into serious discussions, and always ready to break the tension if things seemed stressful, turning the attentions onto herself. I think she knew she would never be allowed to love another man, (even if she wanted to), and that the fortunes of her family depended on her keeping Hitler’s attentions fixed on her. I think she loved him, as much as it was possible for her to love. She was never going to be allowed to grow up and take the role of a “proper German woman”, because Hitler needed her to be forever young, a touch rebellious, desired by men, always fresh and beautiful…and his alone. I think the question of whether or not she knew of what was going on will never be answered. What CAN be ascertained with complete certainty is that she was certainly out for all the benefits her position afforded her, no matter who suffered in the process.
Well that may be true, about Eva's medical condition. HOWEVER, there is testimony from her friends, i.e. Traudl Junge and others; that she said they had an active sex life. In fact, after the 1938 Munich Conference, and the publishing of the photo with Chamberlain sitting on a sofa she said, "I wonder if he would have sat there, if he knew what had gone on, on that sofa". I suspect he did have a fairly normal sex life.

What was said about the Braun family is true. Several years ago I was introduced to a girl who married a brother-in-law. She told me she was a descendant of the family and her parents had a sterling silverware table set. The tableware was adorned with the party emblem at the tip of each pieces handle. It was said the gift was given to the family by the leader of the party himself. Who exactly she was related to she refused to say. As to the silverware, I had seen an item like that in an old black and white photo of the time so it is plausible.
The footage of Eva speaking with Nazi figures shows her comfortable and flirtatious manner. She was present amongst Nazi parties, fuelled with alcohol and officials no doubt big noting about what was happening on the war front and in the concentration camps. Eva no doubt became too accustomed to her comfortable lifestyle with Hitler, and her notoriety within his inner circle, to worry about the fate of those outside of her circle. I believe her willingness to die with Hitler was not simply about her love for him, but her realisation if she did not take her life, it would never be the same again and she would too be held accountable in some way.
Interesting about how Hitler saw his being a bachelor helped his political career when, in America, they prefer married leaders. Especially when it comes to the Office of the President.
I seriously doubt this women Eva Braun, had no idea of the monstrous events taken place per order of her "boyfriend". I base this on the information contained in this video. Eva. Was an avid athlete. An attribute of every athlete is a inherent sense of competitiveness. She was intelligent enough to obtain an above average education . She was also wise enough to convince her employer Hoffman, to train her how to be a photographer. A position that was almost unheard of for a woman to hold in that era. She was also conniving enough to stage an attempt of suicide that's remarkabley similar to Hitler's niece. Final Eva's actual suicide doesn't prove love for Hitler. To me it proves complicity in the war crimes Hitler committed. Even at the very least her suicide proves guilt. Guilt from knowing about the atrocities. Or guilt from participating in them. This woman was a very intelligent woman who cared only for herself. I dear go further and say her missing letters were her attempt to tell the world she not only knew what horrors had taken place she also approved of them.
Eva had learnt how to tread very carefully in a burning building, albeit for her own benefit but, ultimately, do we not all live essentially for our own sake and not for others.
She had yo know and not care. Hitler made speeches about the Jews so everyone knew how he felt. She loved him enough to ignore his wrongs or maybe she agreed with him. After all she worked for a photographer and helped to get his propaganda out to the public. She was also very young but thats no excuse. There is no excuse for how many people let this happen. Her own sister worked for a Jewish dr and she knows what happened to the Jews. Maybe thats what happened. She killed her self and Hitler couldn’t take it.
Germany just before WW2 seems like the most romantic place on earth, I would go back and hear Hitler speak if i had a time machine, doesn't make me a bad person, it was a fascinating time in history.
We will never know if Eva knew or not. It seems her dysfunctional childhood and father who was absent and emotionally unavailable would have drawn her to Hitler. What a waste of life to sacrifice herself with the biggest monster in history.

She would have been well aware of his view on Jewish people at the very least, she would have known of their rights being stripped, as evident surrounding her elder sisters employment with the Jewish physician, she was a photographer to the Nazi party for how many years? I understand there is speaking in code, and perhaps women not being invited into the inner sanctum, however I simply cannot believe she never overheard any of Hitlers orders etc.
I believe she was an immature, materialistic individual, that turned a blind eye, justified and made excuses for the things she may have seen and heard, to continue living the lifestyle she desired.
There are still women today, married to powerful men doing dirty deeds (Albeit, not to Hitlers degree) that turn a blind eye to live the lifestyle they crave, it's nothing new really!

This RUclips channel is amazing. Most documentaries really overcomplicate things but this is so clear and I can take in infomation and understand it which makes it so much easier when Iam revising.
Braun certainly knew some horrific things were going on as the war deteriorated. It would be impossible to ignore that major cities in Germany were being bombed with horrific loss of life and property. And that Russians were getting closer to Berlin. But while most Germans were suffering and dying, Braun lived in a world of luxury and privilege. I think she selfishly and vainly wanted to enjoy those benefits for as long as she possibly could.
I will always believe that Eva Braun was "sly as a fox," and much more in-the-know than some others realize. Sensational biographical portrait, gentlemen.

Interestingly, I heard from a different documentary that Eva's "cry for help" in the form of a failed suicide enraged Hitler, for he saw it as manipulative, considering Eva apparently knew (to some extent) about his relationship with Geli, and his feelings (Geli was said to be the only woman Hitler ever loved) for her, and she was deeply jealous. Upon rushing to Eva's side, he promptly told her to never do something like that again.
I do believe it made him more perceptive to her admiration, and made him realize her value, therefore making him care for her. I also believe that he never forgot this manipulation (at least in his eyes) and it is one of the reasons why he never loved Eva.
In my opinion, he held some affections for her, because she worshipped the ground he walked on, which stroked his fragile ego. He must have recognized this to an extent, which is why he found her valuable and an asset, she made him feel good. He used her to feel powerful, and he realized he needed her. Which made him soften up in regards to her, but I don't believe he ever fully loved her.
Hitler was a sociopath and sociopaths are incapable of love. Whatever " genuine love" he may have had for his niece, it was simply about control and perversion.

I have walked in her footsteps. My ex-husband is a native of Berlin, and took me on a tour of Der Reichtag and other sites within the area of the Battle of Berlin in those closing days of WWII. In all honesty, I believe she was a combination of both a knowing participant in the propaganda machine as a photographer, but also an innocent who was used, abused, and brainwashed. I also believed she was insanely smart, and an opportunist given her terrible early life. She was definitely a self sufficient a very capable and extremely complex paradox of a woman.
But she was guilty as well they lived the best days of war in the beginning but at the end Nazi Germany found a hat that fit them Russia saved Europe from evil 👿 they killed over 7 million Germans that’s why Germany are still angry George Soros said in a meeting he wanted to destroy Russia because they rapped his mother this was 1945 and now look how many died in Ukraine and Russians for a big lie

The exact date of Eva's first meeting with Hitler is known: October 11, 1929. We know this because Herta Schneider told John Toland in 1973-74 it was the second Friday in October of that year. Also, at 14:12, Gretl Braun is shown, that is not Eva. At 38:37 that is not Baldur, but Gerhard Engel.

Excellent biography. As far as whether Eva Braun knew that she was a beneficiary of the atrocities that were going on in Germany (i.e., The Holocaust), there is no way in Hades she couldn’t have known. Just because she was apolitical, that doesn’t mean she was naive and stupid.
After all, she was the assistant of Hitler’s photographic propagandist and took pictures in advance of that effort. And then she was frequently at the Berghof, were Hitler would have conversed with many of those in his inner circle. Undoubtedly she overheard not a few things they were discussing!

Overall, a tragic figure, regardless of how much she knew about the Holocaust: a young, vivacious woman probably so typical of her time, but probably mentally stunted by naivete and love for a beast that didn't deserve it.
More tragic is the story of Hitler's niece Geli who evidently tried to break free of her uncle's control and seemingly ended up taking her own life. Well-presented and sober account, all the more effective for the excellent narration. Thumbs up.

Great video as always. As for Eva Braun, I am not basing this on any historical facts, but it would be more than possible for Eva Braun to have been unaware of Hitler’s crimes. By the time of the final solution, she was in their far-away mansion, possibly living in blissful ignorance and extreme wealth. On that note, it is extremely common for the family and close friends of people in extreme power to be completely unaware of the person in the middle of it being corrupt. One example that comes to mind is Pablo Escobar’s family and wife, who were mostly unaware of what was truly going on.
I would largely agree. I don’t think she is a sly fox as some suggest on here. I don’t think she really knew that much because Hitler didn’t want her to. Your analysis is quite possible. Though it must be mentioned that Magda Goebbels had no illusions about the Nazi Party and most definitely her husband by 1944. But then Eva Braun was never even considered an intellectual bantam weight by those who came in touch with her, so really no comparison.

I’ve talked to a lot of people in Germany and it was wildly known what was going on. A lot of people said they even understood as children. The mother of a coworker of mine recalled having a neighbour, a child, with a disability. One day this child was just taken away, and people got it. This was happening everywhere. She knew about it.
As much as we may want to think she was naive about what was going on, I think it unlikely. Hitler would have spoken to her about things in confidence as many do with their partners.

This was so masterfully narrated that i barely breathed the entire time! The way she is portrayed is really as someone who was young, immature and looking for a father figure...therefore to view her as someone who knew about the Nazi Regime is difficult, even if she knew, she was so enamored with Hitler that she felt what he was doing was for 'the Greater good ' of Germany and therefore she held him in high esteem. She loved the power and protection she didn't get from her father.

She was seemingly a very enigmatic personage, although I find it hard to believe that she was not aware of what was going on albeit, in complete denial and afraid to face the demon and his cohorts amongst whom she lived, preferring instead to revel in the illusory luxuries she was afforded by this very evil entity. Having said that the films and pictures of her and to see her face in essentially unaffected gaiety and enjoyment of her life seem to say that she almost I think was afraid to look behind the curtain again this is only supposition and my opinion but I would find it fairly implausible that she did not know what was going on in some way shape or form, she was always surrounded by officers in a cohort so you know we’re deeply entrenched in the horror that was created by the Hitler regime, How could she not know so completely, even being faced with the percentage of Hitler himself who is a somber and dour figure

Years back, my 8th grade history teacher showed us a film he had "liberated" from one of Hitler's homes shortly after the war ended.
It showed Eva Braun prancing around in the nude with Hitler smiling in the background.
As a teenage boy, I was impressed.
I saw in another documentary that both Eva and Gretle were keen nudists, and have seen film of Gretle skinny dipping at a swimming hole.

The saddest thing about the second WW was that Hitler, the hopeless coward wasn't apprehended in his bunker by the Russians. It would have been great to hear in detail all the horrible things the Russians would have done to him and Eva.

From the information presented, Braun certainly didn't exploit her liaison as a "gold-digger" would have. It appears she chose the man despite what she may have known/probably knew about his life away from their life together. That being said, we have no way of knowing what that life was truly like and we have contemporary examples of women deeply loving men they knew to be monsters. Another great job of recounting history.

Wow! That is a fantastic documentary with so many excellent pictures and films! During wars and crises people rationalize that their individual sides are justified. Violence and death are similarly excused as necessary. Us against them or them against us.
I have an idea the worst of the activities were somewhat sanitized for the top echelon. Wasn't it Himmler who reportedly fainted when he visited a death camp? Jews had long faced discrimination in Europe. Here in America there were African Americans. Even Abraham Lincoln, the Great Emancipator, did not consider black Americans to be completely equal, as he indicated in a speech. These poisons fester within societies for generations until no one questions them.
I assume Eva Braun was largely ignorant of many things and what she did know, she excused. It appears she saw the kinder, gentler side of her Fuhrer, so why would she imagine the worst?

I think Eva Braun was exactly what Hitler wanted her to be. Given his attachment to his Niece, he was fixated on nymphets…young, fit, sometimes silly girls. It was no mistake that Eva’s first suicide attempt. Mirrored precisely that of Gelli, she needed to know he loved her.
She had the mannerisms of a teenager, showing off and being flirtatious, never venturing into serious discussions, and always ready to break the tension if things seemed stressful, turning the attentions onto herself.
I think she knew she would never be allowed to love another man, (even if she wanted to), and that the fortunes of her family depended on her keeping Hitler’s attentions fixed on her. I think she loved him, as much as it was possible for her to love.
She was never going to be allowed to grow up and take the role of a “proper German woman”, because Hitler needed her to be forever young, a touch rebellious, desired by men, always fresh and beautiful…and his alone. Well that may be true, about Eva's medical condition. HOWEVER, there is testimony from her friends, i.e. Traudl Junge and others; that she said they had an active sex life. In fact, after the 1938 Munich Conference, and the publishing of the photo with Chamberlain sitting on a sofa she said, "I wonder if he would have sat there, if he knew what had gone on, on that sofa". I suspect he did have a fairly normal sex life.

What was said about the Braun family is true. Several years ago I was introduced to a girl who married a brother-in-law. She told me she was a descendant of the family and her parents had a sterling silverware table set. The tableware was adorned with the party emblem at the tip of each pieces handle. It was said the gift was given to the family by the leader of the party himself. Who exactly she was related to she refused to say. As to the silverware, I had seen an item like that in an old black and white photo of the time so it is plausible.
The footage of Eva speaking with Nazi figures shows her comfortable and flirtatious manner. She was present amongst Nazi parties, fuelled with alcohol and officials no doubt big noting about what was happening on the war front and in the concentration camps. Eva no doubt became too accustomed to her comfortable lifestyle with Hitler, and her notoriety within his inner circle, to worry about the fate of those outside of her circle. I believe her willingness to die with Hitler was not simply about her love for him, but her realisation if she did not take her life, it would never be the same again and she would too be held accountable in some way.
Interesting about how Hitler saw his being a bachelor helped his political career when, in America, they prefer married leaders. Especially when it comes to the Office of the President.

I seriously doubt this women Eva Braun, had no idea of the monstrous events taken place per order of her "boyfriend". I base this on the information contained in this video. Eva. Was an avid athlete. An attribute of every athlete is a inherent sense of competitiveness.
She was intelligent enough to obtain an above average education . She was also wise enough to convince her employer Hoffman, to train her how to be a photographer. A position that was almost unheard of for a woman to hold in that era. She was also conniving enough to stage an attempt of suicide that's remarkabley similar to Hitler's niece.
Final Eva's actual suicide doesn't prove love for Hitler. To me it proves complicity in the war crimes Hitler committed. Even at the very least her suicide proves guilt. Guilt from knowing about the atrocities. Or guilt from participating in them. This woman was a very intelligent woman who cared only for herself. I dear go further and say her missing letters were her attempt to tell the world she not only knew what horrors had taken place she also approved of them.

She had yo know and not care. Hitler made speeches about the Jews so everyone knew how he felt. She loved him enough to ignore his wrongs or maybe she agreed with him. After all she worked for a photographer and helped to get his propaganda out to the public. She was also very young but thats no excuse. There is no excuse for how many people let this happen. Her own sister worked for a Jewish dr and she knows what happened to the Jews. Maybe thats what happened. She killed her self and Hitler couldn’t take it.

Germany just before WW2 seems like the most romantic place on earth, I would go back and hear Hitler speak if i had a time machine, doesn't make me a bad person, it was a fascinating time in history.

We will never know if Eva knew or not. It seems her dysfunctional childhood and father who was absent and emotionally unavailable would have drawn her to Hitler. What a waste of life to sacrifice herself with the biggest monster in history.
