The sinister forces of KAOS, the international agency of dastardly foes, have stolen the free world's number one secret weapon: an incredible weather-altering machine! Not only does this give them the ability to unleash a deadly weather catastrophe at any time, they are demanding a ransom of $250 billion!
There is only one man who can help the world now...he's the Prince of Pratfalls, that Duke of Doubletalk, that Sentry of Sight gags, and he is primed once again to do battle against KAOS and save the day!
This should of been the 1980 film. In 9 years Don aged a lot.
This TV film was released in 1989.
Don was already getting to be an old guy in the original run through the late 60s. Glad to see he looked this good (for 65).
Although the 90s reboot was terrible, Don actually looked better/younger in it than he did here due to makeup and a silver haired toupee. Max's scenes with Siegfried were still funny in that one, but even though he aged in this 1989 Get Smart Again, it was still good and had some funny parts that were great.

Whenever they do a reunion of a classic series they eliminate the laugh track. Big mistake. It always feels weird.
I agree 100%. The laugh track is an integral part of Classic tv comedies and I believe the naysayers are wrong when they say it’s better without them . The laugh tracks done now are so loud and overdone that they are a nuisance to the shows they’re in.

Okay, the only _Get Smart_ movie I've ever heard about was _The Nude Bomb._ Where's this one been hiding?

Don Adams' voice changed...very weird.
Yup, it was different from The Nude Bomb and it would only become harder and harder to do the Maxwell Smart voice through the brief 1995 revival and CALL-ATT commercials. I think he managed one more Inspector Gadget series after this.
